RACE TWO

GOD SAKE (4) was locked away on the pegs last start after angling down for a cheap trip from gate 10 and was finding the line strongly in the closing stages. His previous starts were against stronger opponents and if able to find position without spending too much early can claim this open contest.

GOLDEN YEAR (7) will be needing a slice of luck from this alley but if able to sight a gap with track to work with can be finishing hard. A good winner here 3 starts back from the breeze, his latest run saw him forced to retreat from gate 4 when unable to find position. With better luck he is the knockout.

CHLOES CLOUD (1) started from gate 1 at AP over the sprint trip 3 starts back and looked to take them all the way when grabbed in the closing stages. Unsuited in the 2 runs since, she lands the gate and the options to capitalise.

CELTIC CRUZA (6) was game on Sat night in a qualifier when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line and fighting hard held on to 4th behind CASINO GRIN. Able to work in his races he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: GOD SAKE (4), GOLDEN YEAR (7), CHLOES CLOUD (1), CELTIC CRUZA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOD SAKE (4) each-way

RACE THREE

BETTOR WATCH HIM (1) was a Marburg winner 5 starts back when leading throughout and never in danger to score by 13m. Sent for a spell following his next start, he has faced wide gates at each of 3 runs since resuming. He will need to be at his best but with the improved gate he can sneak away with this.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (9) resumes from a break and will be having his 1st look at the triangle. A veteran of just 3 career starts, he claimed a Gold Pot Final last start before going for a break when leading throughout to claim a 7m victory. With 2 trials to prepare he gets his chance to feature.

JUST JOSHIN (10) was stuck trying to find position last start and after rolling forward from gate 6 was then forced to retreat. That made it tough trying to make ground in the closing stages but if he is on his game this is well within reach.

MACH TORQUE (7) was buried in the run last start and when she spotted open road was able to charge home strongly to be 1m from the winner. With the perfect trip on offer she can take the snipers shot.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR WATCH HIM (1), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (9), JUST JOSHIN (10), MACH TORQUE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8)
rolled to the breeze from gate 6 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and was in for the fight when 1.5m from the leader and winner OUR DOUG. Last start over the AP sprint trip she hit the line nicely for the silver behind the smart TROJAN BANNER and is right in this.

OUR DELIGHT (4) has started just 3 time since January where she has been able to win over the AP mile and then claim the bronze last start. Releasing the front after finding the pegs 1st from gate 4 when 2nd up finished best along the passing lane to score. Grabbed late last start, she is up to this.

BETTOR BECAUSE (3) has some early speed and from gate 3 can look to make the most of it. A winner here 3 starts back when finishing strongly off the 2nd line she can capitalise on the gate.

SIXPENNY RED (6) will be further tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a break. Making an early error she reset and pushed on to lead up the outside division. She can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8), OUR DELIGHT (4), BETTOR BECAUSE (3), SIXPENNY RED (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8) to win

RACE FIVE

UNASSUMING CHAMP (3) pushed through from the 2nd line to work his way to the front here 4 starts back and once in control scored a comfortable 8m victory. Beaten a half-head at his next start and then bouncing back with a victory 2 runs back, he has the speed to find the front and dictate.

VANTO HANOVER (1) looked to have found her race here last start and leading them up from gate 1 over the sprint trip couldn’t hold out the passing lane winner RADAR HILL. A tidy 2nd here 3 starts back, she will have the early options and will be right in the fight once again.

MINI MIRACLE (2) was softened in a slick opening 400m over the sprint that ended her hopes 2 starts back and then atoned last time with a strong win from the breeze. The distance is the query.

RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (9) settled back in the pack from gate 10 last time out and then sent forward at the right time gathered them in quickly and put them away to claim a strong 8m win. Similar tactics can see him go close.

SELECTIONS: UNASSUMING CHAMP (3), VANTO HANOVER (1), MINI MIRACLE (2), RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: UNASSUMING CHAMP (3) to win

RACE SIX

MEGIDDO (8)
has no favours from the 2nd line but should find this easier than what he has met in 5 career starts since arriving in Qld. Freshened since his latest outing where he was never a factor after ending his day with a break. Locked on the pegs 2 starts back he chased gamely and can claim a tricky contest here.

NIGHT NINJA (7) held the front from gate 1 here 2 starts back and once in control was never in danger to score a comfortable 8m victory. Luckless last start from gate 5 when snagged back before making a wide run to grab the silver behind MACH TORQUE, he will be probing for the opening.

TELLELLA (1) returns to start her 4YO term and warmed up with a sound trial effort where not asked for much. Last start of her 3YO term she found the line strongly behind FEEL THE REIGN who has really gone on with it and she can be thereabouts.

CROCODILE PRINCESS (9) makes her Qld debut for Greg Elkins and arrives from a spell and a two-time career winner. A passing lane winner at Maryborough 5 starts back she stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: MEGIDDO (8), NIGHT NINJA (7), TELLELLA (1), CROCODILE PRINCESS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MEGIDDO (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

CONTRARY COURAGE (1) will take some benefit from her latest start when 1st up from a break and also having her 1st start following a stable switch. Making a mess of things she was chasing hard to get the gate and then finished mid-field. With the speed to take control she will be looking to fight then off.

PHOTOZEN (7) hasn’t really fired this campaign but looks to get every chance to capitalise and turn his form around here. Too far back last start when trying to chase in a stronger event claimed by JACKS AT THE BEACH, he should get the trip to make a late dive with the closing shot here.

TAFFY BOY (10) was locked away on the pegs last start and found the line soundly behind RADAR HILL. Luckless the start prior after making a mess of the start and then not seeing space, he is a place hope.

PEGGY STARDUST (5) opened her win account here last week when making the most of gate 1 to lead throughout. This is a rise again but with the added confidence can look to chime in.

SELECTIONS: CONTRARY COURAGE (1), PHOTOZEN (7), TAFFY BOY (10), PEGGY STARDUST (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CONTRARY COURAGE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7)
resumes from a spell for her 2nd racing campaign after her 1st saw her win twice and beaten into 2nd in the other from 3 starts. She took them all the way last start from gate 2 when never in danger in scoring a 3m victory. Given a tidy trial hit-out to prepare, she will need some factors in her favour but is worth the chance.

CANDYFLOSS (9) led the 3-wide train home last week and was fighting hard to the line when splitting honours to claim a dead-heat victory. She found the line strongly the start prior after snagging back early over the AP mile and with a smidgin less work in getting home can look to turn the half into a whole.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (4) will take further benefit from her run here last week when 2nd up from a break. Working hard in the run when facing the breeze she was 4m from the winner. With even luck she won’t be far away.

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) had been threatening to win a race after 5 successive minor place finishes and was able to capitalise last start. Holding the front she held on to score and with the confidence can go close once again.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7), CANDYFLOSS (9), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (4), SPECIAL RESERVE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7) to win

RACE NINE

ZARAS ALL SMILES (9)
will need some luck in transit from this gate but can look to build on her 1st career victory here last start when working home from this same gate to score a tidy victory. Hitting the line strongly here 2 starts back when 2nd to GIVE ME A GO, this is no harder than last start and she can go back-to-back.

VILLAGE SMIRKER (4) started from gate 5 last start and snagged back early to look for luck he was then hitting the line strongly to be 4m from the winner ZARAS ALL SMILES. His run the start prior was a sound effort after making an error and with further experience can be around the money here.

WHATA STRIDE (8) was tough from the breeze here last start and fighting hard was 3m from the winner to claim the silver. She will need a slice of luck early but can look to find the podium in this.

SIR HASZEM (2) returns from a spell after a 4 start campaign to start his career last time in work. Only beaten a head from the pocket trail 2 starts back he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: ZARAS ALL SMILES (9), VILLAGE SMIRKER (4), WHATA STRIDE (8), SIR HASZEM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ZARAS ALL SMILES (9) to win
