Racing Queensland and the Gold Coast Turf Club, in conjunction with QRIC Stewards, have made the decision to move the rail out 3.5m from the 400m to the winning post for Saturday’s metropolitan thoroughbred meeting.
The decision was made following the discovery of minor damage caused to a small area on the inside 3m of the track in the home straight. The rail movement has been made to ensure the area of concern has no effect on Saturday’s race meeting.
