RACE TWO

WYNBERG TERROR (1) has started 3 times since returning from a spell and has started from a wide gate on each occasion. 2 starts back from gate 5 he didn’t get the cleanest shot when beaten 8m behind CHANTREY and last start was too far back to challenge. With good early speed he gets the options and every chance.

CHANTREY (5) was hitting the line strongly last start from a long way back and finished 6m from the winner. That followed a win over this trip when arriving for a 2m victory. This is no harder and with the run to suit will be right in the fight.

MAX RICHTER (7) pressed through from the 2nd line here 2 starts back and finding the front then couldn’t see it out. He hit the line well last start for 2nd and despite the gate he will be in the mix.

OUR WHITE KNIGHT (4) watched the speed battle unfold last week and when asked sprinted sharply to round them up and go on to score. He can find early position and will be swooping hard.

SELECTIONS: WYNBERG TERROR (1), CHANTREY (5), MAX RICHTER (7), OUR WHITE KNIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

IVANOV (3) is normally a fool-proof performer from the tapes and can step quickly. At his latest start he was in a foul mood and didn’t want to go early and under the circumstances to be only 20m from the winner was a good effort. From the front line, he can step to the front to dictate and atone.

SOUTHERN ALPS (8) landed a hat-trick of victories last start when stepping to the front and once in control was never in danger. That followed a tough win at Redcliffe when facing the breeze. He will face some traffic early here from the wide position but with even luck is right in the mix.

LANSBURY (1) is normally safe from the tapes and can step here to get herself in a handy position early. Her last start was a good effort when facing the breeze over the 2613m at Redcliffe and holding on for 3rd.

KIP KEINO (2) returns from a break and finds a nice target to return in. 3 starts back he was only 5m from FOURSHAREMOREBEERS in an open trot and his last run before going for a break was a good effort under the circumstances. He can give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: IVANOV (3), SOUTHERN ALPS (8), LANSBURY (1), KIP KEINO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  IVANOV (3) to win

RACE FOUR

ARGYLE BEACH (4)
started from gate 2 here 2 starts back and was forced to cut the breeze and couldn’t go on with it. Finding the front last start from gate 3 she controlled the speed in front and ran a pair of sub 28 closing panels to score in great style. She might be forced to work here but can go back-to-back.

GETOUTNWALK (5) started from inside the 2nd line in the 3YO fillies Triad last start and was good to the line to hold 4th behind the 3 Dixon train fillies led by AQUA MISS. With brilliant gate speed she can get in the action early and is a big danger.

CHANGEOVERME (8) will need some factors to g work in his favour and some luck as well. Buried away 3 back on the pegs last start he was only 6m from the winner in slick time. If he can see track in time, look for him swooping hard.

OASIS DREAM (3) found the front from the 2-hole last start and was fighting to the lane when grabbed late and 2m from GRINVIL. That followed a handy effort behind KEY LARGO. He can feature here.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE BEACH (4), GETOUTNWALK (5), CHANGEOVERME (8), OASIS DREAM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE BEACH (4) to win

RACE FIVE

PATERNITY SUIT (5) will strip fitter following his return from a break last start over the 2138m. Too far back in the pack he was chasing in vain against the tempo. A Gold Pot heat winner 2 starts back prior to going for a break, he looks to get his chance in this line-up.

LILAC FLASH (8) made his Qld debut last week and after settling on the pegs from an inside 2nd line gate and once he saw open space was charging home to run SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW to 1.5m. That was his 1st run since March and with the benefit from that run and as the lone 2nd line runner is right in this.

VINTAGE DREAM (1) has faced the starter 3 times since returning from a break and has yet to place. From gate 1 at Redcliffe last start as the fav she made an error yet worked home strongly to be 3m from the winner. The gate suits.

GOT THE GOODS (4) races the 2138m trip for just the 2nd time in his career which poses a query. Last start over the 1660m he speared out and looked to take them all the way when run down late. He can look for the pegs again and be fighting hard.

SELECTIONS: PATERNITY SUIT (5), LILAC FLASH (8), VINTAGE DREAM (1), GOT THE GOODS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PATERNITY SUIT (5) to win

RACE SIX

BETTORTHANSPECIAL (7)
settled well back in the pack last start as the fav and was working home strongly to grab the silver behind SMOOTH SHOWGIRL. That followed a strong win when hitting the line hard in the closing stages to score over the 2138m. The small field suits and she can swoop over the top.

JACKAROO BROMAC (4) was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages of the Flashing Red last start to grab the bronze. Luckless the start prior when looking for space up the passing lane, he was a neck off BETTORTHANSPECIAL 3 starts back after being held up at a pivotal moment. He is right in this.

ALLELUIA (6) was a stand start winner 2 runs back when threading through the gaps to arrive for a good win. In the Flashing Red he was working wide out and was game to the line for 2nd. This suits.

SELECTIONS: BETTORTHANSPECIAL (7), JACKAROOBROMAC (4), ALLELUIA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTORTHANSPECIAL (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

ROCK WITH SAM (3) spent plenty of petrol in cutting the breeze and then fading out in a Rising Stars final behind COLT THIRTY ONE. That followed 3 successive wins including a tough effort in the heat. Forget his latest run when a beaten fav, he gets his chance to bounce back here.

GRINVIL (11) goes in search of the hat-trick after successive wins from bad gates. Taken back from the 7 hole last start she charged late and arrived on the line to score. That followed a top effort off the 2nd line when coming with a well-timed run over the 2138m and she can go close again.

PROFICIENT (10) is in great touch and added another minor placing to his tally last start from the pocket trail when 8m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON. He will need a slice of luck but can feature.

SKYFELLA CAM (5) was working hard in the run last start from gate 7 when pressing forward to find the breeze. 3rd in the QBred Triad final 2 starts back, from this gate he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: ROCK WITH SAM (3), GRINVIL (11), PROFICIENT (10), SKYFELLA CAM (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK WITH SAM (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

OUTLAW FELLA (9)
has been in good touch without getting the rewards and last start found the line in good style to grab the silver behind INVINCIBLE LOXTON. His previous 2 runs were good when buried right back in the pegs. With a good trail through at the start he looks to get his chance here.

NUI TOC TIEN (11) will get some benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Starting from gate 10 on Sat night he is still probing for the way clear after getting stuck in traffic. He found the line in good style 1st up and will be charging late here.

KARLOO MAC (5) started from e 5 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and after going back was charging home late to get within a half-neck of LEXUS ON THE BEACH. His effort was good behind BATTLE BORN last start and he is in the mix.

JESSICA AMBER (6) speared out and looked to take them all the way on Sat night but couldn’t see it out. With good early speed she can get in the action early and is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (9), NUI TOC TIEN (11), KARLOO MAC (5), JESSICA AMBER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUTLAW FELLA (9) to win

RACE NINE

PUNTERS DELIGHT (2)
has terrible numbers next to his name, but so do his rivals here with none of the field boasting a win in their past 5 starts. His run 2 starts back in a Young Drivers race was a fair effort behind GRINVIL and from the gate in a wide-open contest he is worth a throw at the stumps.

ALLNIGHT MLADY (7) made her Qld debut last start at Redcliffe and after doing some early work found cover and then worked home in good order. There looks to be plenty of early speed inside her which will help in finding position and she has claims in this open affair.

HEART OF CHANGE (1) will be tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a break and starting from this same gate grabbed the bronze behind GREGS LEGACY. Finding late gaps she can feature.

LUCKY NED PEPPER (4) looked to take them all the way 4 starts back when grabbed late by RAFFERTY DELIGHTS. In 3 starts since he has been forced to work too hard. This looks within reach.

SELECTIONS: PUNTERS DELIGHT (2), ALLNIGHT MLADY (7), HEART OF CHANGE (1), LUCKY NED PEPPER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2-4-7
