RACE ONE

MIDNIGHT BENDER (1)
speared put from gate 5 to find the front here 4 starts back and was able to control the tempo for an all the way win. Starting fav at his next start he led them up but was worried out of it by THE FRAME. Back to the front line after being off the 2nd row his past 2, he can look to take control.

MR MEDDLE (9) will find this easier than what he has been meeting but gets no favours from the gate. He faded out last start after leading them up over the 2138m trip and setting a solid tempo. His run 2 starts back was a good effort when he didn’t see space when needed. Will need some luck in the run.

REAL KNUCKY (7) claimed the silver behind SURFACE TO AIR here 3 starts back when finding position from gate 4 and fighting to the line. He will get the perfect trip here and can look to take the shot when gap arrives.

DAPPER (10) was buried away on the pegs 2 starts back and was attacking the line strongly to get within 5m of the winner JOEY TEE. Too far back to challenge last start when nothing from the rear was making ground, he has exotic hopes in this.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT BENDER (1), MR MEDDLE (9), REAL KNUCKY (7), DAPPER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-7-9-10

RACE TWO

MO JARNEY (9) has found form and has placed in his past 3 in succession. Last start he worked across to find the pegs before releasing and then ran the short-priced fav ARTIKULATE MISS to a neck. He was flashing late 2 starts back when a half-neck away and with even luck he can get over the top of them here.

ROYAL TAZ (2) gets his chance to find the front in a race which could be all he needs to resurrect some form. His run last start had merit when cutting the breeze after rolling forward from the 2nd line and if he can pinch a panel in front, he might take some catching.

WEASEL (4) did the hard yard last start and found the even tempo a touch too strong but the run was still good. From this alley he can get into the contest early and is right in the fight.

SONNY ORLANDO (1) has ended up well back in the pack at his last 2 starts and trying to make late ground. He will settle much closer here and can look to be ready to strike when the gaps appear.

SELECTIONS: MO JARNEY (9), ROYAL TAZ (2), WEASEL (4), SONNY ORLANDO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MO JARNEY (9) to win

RACE THREE

BETTING BARON (1) rolled forward from gate 3 last start and was forced to work in the run when cutting the breeze. Fighting on to the line in a slugging finish he held them off with the tempo only moderate through the last panel. He gets the chance to lead them up here and will be gripping on.

CAMIVISTA (6) rolled forward from gate 5 last start and using some early petrol eventually found himself in front. He was flat on his feet as they swung for home but he battled on to hold 2nd behind BETTING BARON. He can look to run the same quinella here.

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (8) was locked away in the run last start and never saw open space to have a good shot an improving her position. She can look to drop down to the markers for a cheap run here and be probing for gas.

KAANAPALI (7) has been below his best at his past few starts and couldn’t work into the race last start behind ARTIKULATE MISS. He should find this a shade easier and with the cosy trip can issue a late challenge.

SELECTIONS: BETTING BARON (1), CAMIVISTA (6),DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (8), KAANAPALI (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE FOUR

MACH SAM (1)
was a comfortable winner at AP last Fri after holding the front from gate 1 over the 1660m trip and once in control scored without looking in danger and running home some good closing sections. He gets in here well under the conditions from gate 1 and can take them all the way.

PITTSWORTH MAN (9) has finished 3rd at each of his past 2 starts from tough gates and land another tough alley here. Last start he was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages when 2m from GRINYDONTCHA and that followed a good effort behind BONNIE JUJON. Can feature again.

FALCON VISTA (6) has the wide gate to overcome but has worked his way back into touch. A good 2nd to BONNIE JUJON 2 starts back was followed with a tough win from this gate. With a similar run he can place again.

FUI FUI (7) was buried away on the pegs last start and held his ground to the line behind ARTIKULATE MISS. He should get a perfect trip here and can loo to issue a closing challenge.

SELECTIONS: MACH SAM (1), PITTSWORTH MAN (9), FALCON VISTA (6), FUI FUI (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH SAM (1) to win

RACE FIVE

CURRUMBINKID (7) will strip fitter from his latest start when returning from a break. He had trialled in good order to prepare for the return and from the 2nd line was working home well to finish a 5.5m 3rd. He will need some factors to go his way here, but if the gaps present when needed he can sneak away with this.

MY ULTIMATE JOE (8) is a Roll With Joe 3YO making his debut for Donny Smith and displayed in his only trial that a race like this is well within reach. He did everything right in that trial and wasn’t asked for much, finishing off strongly. He stays under a market watch and is right in the mix.

IM SANDY BAY (2) speared across from gate 4 to work to the front last start over the 1780m trip and leading them into the stretch was claimed in the closing stages. Her chances hinge on if she has the speed to find the pegs.

ART SECRET (1) makes her debut for the in-form Mitchell Dawson barn and will be 1st-up since March when dropping out over the 2160m trip at Narrabri. Possessing good gate speed, she will have the early options and stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: CURRUMBINKID (7), MY ULTIMATE JOE (8), IM SANDY BAY (2), ART SECRET (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5)
was hustled early to be sent forward from this same trip over the 1780m trip and once in control was never in danger. That followed a good run at AP where he worked hard in the run but was strong to the line when 3rd to PHOTOZEN. The gate hurts from this starting point but given time to balance up can look to go back-to-back.

ITS ALLABOUT ALICE (1) returns to Qld after starting her career here as a 2YO. She will strip fitter from her latest start when resuming off a freshen where she was taken back from gate 5 at Tamworth and then finished well to score over the 1980m. The improved gate is a big plus.

BIG BEAT (6) went back from gate 5 last start and from back in the pack couldn’t get into the contest over the 1780m and finished down the line behind IPANEMA BEACH. That followed a tough win from the breeze and in this line-up back to 3YO only company can improve.

MAHALO (7) will have options as the lone 2nd line runner and get away from the pegs early if needed. From running line cover last start she worked home in good order to finish 2m from the winner UNDERTHEKILT. She has place claims.

SELECTIONS: IFOUNDTHEBEACH (5), ITS ALLABOUT ALICE (1), BIG BEAT (6), MAHALO (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (1) is a Cammibest filly making her debut for the Jack Butler yard and is a full sister to LUCIFERS LEGEND. She trialled in good order for her 1st start and with the benefit of the inside advantage looks to get her chance.

SURFER JOE (7) has started twice at AP in what have been stronger line-ups than what he faces here. His 1st-up run was a tidy effort from well back in the pack and last start was just left a little flat-footed when the speed went on. With the race experience and a cosy trip he has some claims.

VALIANT GEM (8) was forced to work hard in the run when making his 1st appearance and faded out under the work to finish down the line. He can enjoy an easier trip from the gate here and an improved showing is expected.

GINATIANO (2) is a filly n debut for Rod Hinze by Alta Chriatiano out of the three-win mare Georgina Ann. She did everything right in an AP trial and trained here at Redcliffe stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (1), SURFER JOE (7), VALIANT GEM (8), GINATIANO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
