RACE TWO

RANFURLY RULZ (4) found the pocket trail over the sprint trip 2 starts back, finishing 6m from the winner RIVERLEIGH ROCKET. He couldn’t go on with it last start after being stuck behind a tiring leader that carted him back through the pack. He can be shaper and look to open his Qld account.

PROFICIENT (11) will find this easier than recent assignments, despite facing the tough gate. 3rd to the airborne PINUP BOY 2 starts back, his run on Sat night had merit when 8m from the winner. Needing some luck in transit, look for him wide off the track.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1) is on the back-up from Mon where he was able to lead throughout to claim victory, running some tidy sectionals. That was a much sharper effort than reason outings and he can go close.

ARK PATROL (6) chased hard when 4th in the Triad Final, beaten 11m behind COLT THIRTY ONE. His 2 runs since that have been a bit plain, but he strikes the right race to look to bounce bach

SELECTIONS: RANFURLY RULZ (4), PROFICIENT (11), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (1), ARK PATROL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RANFURLY RULZ (4) to win

RACE THREE

VALIANT GEM (1) couldn’t find position last start and after rolling all the way forward, was then forced to retreat. After being banished as a result of his starting manners, he has completed the runs to get back into the main draw and in a wide-open contest, he looks to get his chance.

MISS MIA (2) finished mid-field last start after settling in the running line. The start prior she was sound to the line from a 2nd line gate and with the ability to settle handy to the speed from this gate, will be right in the fight.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (12) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts at Redcliffe, making it 6 from 8 that she has placed in this season while still searching for her 1st win. The gate hurts, but she can steam home.

DREAM REACTION (9) will take some benefit from her 1st up run when on debut. Locked away on the pegs, the front-end tempo made it impossible for those chasing and with better luck is can feature.

SELECTIONS: VALIANT GEM (1), MISS MIA (2), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (12), DREAM REACTION (9)
SUGGESTED BET: VALIANT GEM (1) to win

RACE FOUR

VILLAGE CRUISER (5)
stretched his consistency further last start, making it 5 successive starts where he has claimed a 3rd place finish. Rolling forward to find the breeze from gate 5 at Redcliffe last start, he was in for the fight when only 1m from the winner. In a race that looks wide-open, he can arrive.

CAVALRYMAN (12) has the tough gate to negotiate as a result of his own starting manners. He made an error over the 2138m 2 starts back, ending his chances. Too far back last start, he can look for improvement here and if bringing his manners, can look to feature.

BUKTHSYSTEM (2) has hit the line strongly in the closing stages at his past 2 starts, with his run 2 starts back, a nice effort after looking for open space to mount the challenge. He is in the mix.

WAVEDANCER (3) started from the 2nd line last start and was working home in good order to grab the silver behind BARA CHARLOTTE, only beaten a head. His Ap record is a concern.

SELECTIONS: VILLAGE CRUISER (5), CAVALRYMAN (12), BUKTHSYSTEM (2), WAVEDANCER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: VILLAGE CRUISER (5) to win

RACE FIVE

JUST TOMMY (8) will need some factor in his favour here, but with the right trip can look to make the closing play a winning one. Leading throughout at Redcliffe 2 starts back, his latest run was a tough effort from the breeze. With the cheap trip on offer, he will be coiled and ready to strike.

ELMS CREEK (11) shoots for the hat-trick following wins at the Redcliffe 1780m and then here last start over the 2138m. Working to the front from gate 3 last time out, he was able to dictate from the front and hold on for a 4m victory. The gate hurts, but he is racing well enough to overcome it.

TRAIN WRECK (1) found the 1x1 trail last start when chasing home ELMS CREEK and finishing 7m in arrears. Placed at his previous 2 starts, he will be hoping to capitalise from the top alley.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9) made the most of gate 1 at Tamworth last start when leading throughout and skipping clear to an 11m victory. He can handle some work in the run and looks to have claims.

SELECTIONS: JUST TOMMY (8), ELMS CREEK (11), TRAIN WRECK (1), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-11

RACE SIX

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1)
was a winner over the 2040m trip at Redcliffe 3 starts back when he proved too strong from the 2nd line, working home over the top to run clear to an 8m margin. 5m from the winner over this trip at his next outing, he looks to have conditions to dictate here.

MEGIDDO (9) was snagged back from gate 5 last start and was strong to the line when 5m from the winner and finishing mid-field. He closed out nicely the start prior when 7m from the winner and grabbing the bronze and with the right cart into the contest can challenge.

BETTING BARON (5) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest over the 2280m at Redcliffe when doing some work in the early stages prior to finding cover. Limiting the work, he can feature.

SPONDOOLEY (10) showed good improvement last start after a plain performance the start prior. Following inside runs he was 6m from the winner last time and with a cheap run here can place.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1), MEGIDDO (9), BETTING BARON (5), SPONDOOLEY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

GREG THE GREAT (10) was banished to the trials last start following a mid-race error that ended his day. That followed a last when striking trouble at Redcliffe. Beaten 3m here 3 starts back when cutting the breeze, if he can put it all together, he has the talent to take this.

DAY TOURER (6) has been in the money at his past 7 in succession, the latest when claiming the silver behind IM THE COMMANDO after finding the pocket trail from gate 10. A winner over this trip from the 10m tape 4 starts back, an excellent beginner, he can be in the right position to strike.

MISTER OZ (5) was 1st up following a stable switch last start and returned a much sharper effort when hitting the line in good order in the latter stages to grab the bronze. He can build on that here.

NO TRANSACTIONS (4) will strip fitter following his return from a break here last time out. Angled to the pegs to look for an easier trip, he closed out in good order to grab 4th. He can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GREG THE GREAT (10), DAY TOURER (6), MISTER OZ (5), NO TRANSACTIONS (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

FOND MEMORIES (7)
hit the line in good style on debut after snagging back from the centre of the line, she then was a real eye-catcher when only beaten 2m. Franking that run last time out when 2nd up, she was too tough from the breeze to score a stylish win. The gate hurts, but she looks smart.

TOANUI SPIRIT (5) is still chasing down her 1st Qld win after being a winner at Newcastle on debut. Her following 6 starts have all been here at AP here she has managed to place on 3 occasions, the latest when 2nd to the talented PELOSI. With even luck in transit she can be in the fight.

MISTER REBBILY (6) showed good improvement following his 1st race appearance with a tidy effort when 2nd up. Making the most of a cosy run when 3rd up, he arrived for the prize and can feature.

TALENT IN SPADES (1) is a well-bred filly that makes her debut for the Grant Dixon stable. By Mach Three, she is out of the four-win mare Tori Maguire and from gate 1 can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FOND MEMORIES (7), TOANUI SPIRIT (5), MISTER REBBILY (6), TALENT IN SPADES (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FOND MEMORIES (7) to win

RACE NINE

GRIZZLY MONTANA (5)
rolled forward to the breeze from the 2nd line last start over the mile and proved too strong for his opponents in claiming a 2m victory. That followed a luckless run at Redcliffe when he never saw space. With a few of these chasing form, he can capitalise.

TELLELLA (2) struck trouble in the run last time out and went off stride, ending her chances. The start prior she attacked the line in good fashion when within 3m of the winner JOVIAL JULIE after being locked away on the pegs. Settling handy to the speed here, she is in the mix.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) has placed at her past 2 starts when closing out from back in the pack on each occasion. With the benefit of the good gate, she won’t be far away.

NIGHT NINJA (6) hasn’t had the best of luck with landing a gate in recent starts and faces another sticky alley here. Angled to the pegs for luck last time, he closed out nicely and can place here.

SELECTIONS: GRIZZLY MONTANA (5), TELLELLA (2), TORQUE TO THE MAX (1), NIGHT NINJA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GRIZZLY MONTANA (5) to win
