RACE TWO

NORTHERN MUSCLE (7) was a strong winner at Marburg 3 starts back from a 40m tape when applying the heat from the breeze to score. Only beaten 2m from the 50m tape over the 2138m at his next start, his latest run when only beaten a half-head was strong. Start 50 can be a winning one.

MELPARK MAGIC (1) started from the front-line last start and was locked away when finishing 10m from the winner IM THE COMMANDO. Under these same conditions 2 starts back, he took the trail on HELLBOUND and was strong to the line in some smart closing panels. He can challenge here.

MATATOKI (4) rolled forward to face the breeze from a 20m tape last start and was fighting when 6m from the winner. That was a much sharper effort from recent outings and he has place hopes.

MISS INVASION (5) started from 40m over the marathon trip last start when finishing down the line behind IM THE COMMANDO. Making errors at her previous 2, she has podium claims if she trots.

RACE THREE

MIND OF MY OWN (3) was a nice debutant when only beaten a half-neck after settling 3 back on the pegs in the run and followed that with a 3^rd in the Breeders Classic. Forget her last start when facing the breeze when PELOSI broke the clock, she will be giving this a big shake.

A RAINBOW DELIGHT (4) was runner-up at her 1^st 2 career starts, the 1^st when hitting the line in solid order from back in the pack after starting from gate 6. From the pocket trail at her 2^nd run she was only 1m in arrears of PELOSI. Finding a suitable race here, she can look to open her account.

IL MAXIMUS (1) is a Cammibest gelding on debut for the Wayne Graham stable. With a tidy trial behind the talented 3YO STAR OF MONTANA and the good gate, he stays under notice.

HOLLIE (2) will take good benefit from her debut when finishing 9m from the winner REDS GOOD TO GO. Settling back in the pack, she found the line in good order and can be thereabouts again.

RACE FOUR

ESCALERA (1) was beaten by the gate last start when finishing within a head of the winner SOULWRITER. Rolling forward from gate 10 to find the breeze over the 2138m, he couldn’t quite land the knockout. With the gate advantage over his main danger, he can look to capitalise.

REGULUS (5) delivered a power running display here 2 starts back when taking control form gate 1 and brutalising the chasers in a 1.52.8 mile, scoring by 37m. Heading back to NSW last start, he returned a tough run in the breeze when beaten a head at Goulburn and will apply some heat here.

ALI DOWNUNDER (8) was well-rated here last start over the 2138m after taking control from gate 1. With 3 steady quarters, he zipped home in 27.1 to score. He will be coiled and ready to strike.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (9) is racing well and has placed his past 3 in succession. He was finding the line in good order last start when 4m from SOULWRITER and is in the mix again here.

RACE FIVE

MACH ALERT (6) showed some slick early moves from gate 5 over this trip 2 starts back to take control and once in front was firing too many bullets in a 27.3 closing panel to claim a 6m victory. Too far back from the stand start last time out, he can capitalise here with the return to the mobile.

LEOS BEST (7) will take great benefit from his latest start when taking on the 2647m stand start at his 1^st run in 17 months. The closing splits made it tough from those back in the pack to make any ground. The gate hurts here, but with the added fitness and back to the mile he can be thereabouts.

OUR HI JINX (5) will take further benefit from his latest run when 2^nd up from a break. Resuming with a tidy 3^rd behind MACH ALERT, he wasn’t ideally suited from the tapes and can place here.

GANGSTER BOY (1) made a mess of the start here last week from the tapes and was then forced to do it the tough way in the breeze. Back to the mobile and the ace gate he will make them earn it.

RACE SIX

MUSCULUS (9) was 2^nd up from a break here 2 starts back when starting from a 10m tape and hitting the line in nice style to be within a half-head of victory. That run was franked when he proved too classy last start from the 10m and powered home to a 10m victory. Fitter again, he can take this.

IM THE COMMANDO (12) will be looking to stay undefeated since arriving in Aus. His debut run in a small field saw him a little scratchy from the tapes before gaining momentum to find the front and hold on. Much cleaner from the tapes 2^nd up, his closing panels were strong and he will fight here.

MISTER OZ (4) started from the 10m tape last start and finished best to take the prize in a restricted grade event. This will be harder, however he gets in well over some of the main players here.

EL SWAVO (8) is never far from the action and with great manners will get himself in the right position early. He found the line in nice style behind MUSCULUS last start and can chime in.

RACE SEVEN

PINUP BOY (4) was brave last start to claim 2^nd to TENNYSON BROMAC after sitting outside him and rolling the sleeves to go under by 2m after starting from the 2^nd line. That followed successive wins at the mile and 3 back he was 2^nd to COLT THIRTY ONE in the Triad Final. He can make the most of the gate advantage.

TENNYSON BROMAC (5) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the 2138m and then the mile at his past 2 outings. Hustling hard to protect the pegs from gate 1 last start, he was able to muster the required speed and then controlled the tempo to score by 2m. He will throw down a strong challenge.

PROFICIENT (3) was a strong winner last start over the 2138m trip after being sent forward to find the breeze from the 2^nd line and racing clear to a 10m victory. This is harder than that, but he is in the mix.

HAPPY FELLINGS (1) took on a mares race last start and from back in the pack couldn’t work into it in the closing stages. Tough from the breeze when only 4m from LISA LINCOLN 2 starts back, the improved gate is a big plus.

RACE EIGHT

LINCOLNS GIRL (3) is on the back-up from Fri where she looked to face a task from gate 10. Making the most of returning to the main draw here 2 starts back, she was sent to the front and taking control packed too many guns to score in good style. With the good gate she can be too strong here.

DAPPER BESSIE (1) was buried away against the pegs last start and with the race developing into a 250m scamper, was always facing a task behind ALI DOWNUNDER. Fading in the closing stages the start prior after facing the breeze, she will get the options from the ace and is right in the fight.

ARK ME (4) found the pegs 1^st from gate 2 over the mile last start and when the filed settled down was shuffled to 3 back by the 1000m. Finding the line nicely, she wasn’t far away and can place here.

IM NO OUTLAW (7) has no favours from this alley as he resumes from a freshen. Last seen when leading throughout from gate 2 to claim his 2^nd career victory, he can be around the minors here.

RACE NINE

AQUA MISS (11) made the most of securing the pocket trail last start and showed a clean pair of plates to sprint sharply when passing lane presented and claim a 5m victory. That followed a tidy 4^th when making good closing ground behind TENNYSON BROMAC. The gate hurts but she is up to it.

MAYWYNS COURAGE (12) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when using the passing lane to sprint hard to victory. Shut-down after that run, he resumes from the break here and has been to the trials to open the pipes where he looked sharp. He might get a tow home here which helps.

ELMAUR JOY (1) was buried away against the pegs last start when chasing home for the bronze behind AQUA MISS. With good early speed she will have the options and has lace claims.

JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (5) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, hitting the line strongly in the closing stages of each. With even luck in transit she can look to be swooping hard again here.

RACE TEN

OUTLAW FELLA (9) started from this gate in Sat night company 2 starts back and was chasing to the line when grabbing the silver and within 2m of the winner. From gate 11 last start over the mile he found the line strongly when only 5m in arrears and with the right early trail can prevail here.

TOP TRIO (2) is still looking to land a victory in 2019 and finds a winnable race here with most of these looking to resurrect some form. Taking on claiming company last start, he was finding the line strongly from a long way back in the pack. With his best gate in some time he can capitalise.

LOCHINVER (4) didn’t really fire at his Qld debut 2 starts back, however there may have been some excuses. Settling in the pocket trail when a 2^nd up 3^rd to PARISIAN ROCKSTAR, he can place again.

SPORTS BOUNTY (1) didn’t have the cleanest of runs last start when finishing down the line over the mile. With the improved gate he can look to make the most of his chances.
