RACE TWO

THE MONEY BALL (2) was sent to the breeze from gate 7 over the mile here 2 starts back and with a strong tempo throughout, was able to land the knockout blow right on the wire in claiming a half-head victory. Buried last start over his less preferred 2138m, he gets back to the mile and his best gate for a long time. He can cash-in.

HEZA BROMAC (7) found the line in good order 2 starts back after retreating from gate 7 and looking for the short-cuts. Last start over the 2138m, he eased from gate 4 when closing strongly to get within a half-head of the winner. The gate is a stinger, but his past 2 indicate he is getting back to form.

PACIFIC COIN (3) claimed a 2nd division qualifier here 2 starts back when making the most of a great trip in behind the leader and using the passing lane to score. Not suited off gate 7 last start, he is in the mix here.

CELTIC CRUZA (10) doesn’t have any favours from gate 10, but he should appreciate this level of opponent. Beaten by gate 7 and the talented SPEECH IS SILVER last start, he can chime into the action.

SELECTIONS: THE MONEY BALL (2), HEZA BROMAC (7), PACIFIC COIN (3), CELTIC CRUZA (10)
SUGGESTED BET: THE MONEY BALL (2) to win

RACE THREE

MACEY JAYDE (7)
is her own worst enemy at times, however she can look to ease some of her recent misdemeanours by a strong performance here. Dead-game last start when 3-wide the last 800m, pouring on the pressure and still only 3m from the winner MISS MONEYBAGS, it was a big run. Her run 3 back was tough when beaten a half-head and with versatility, she can capitalise here.

GODDESS JUJON (4) claimed a mares qualifier 2 starts back when making the most of the soft run in the trail to shoot past in the stretch to score. Tough in the breeze last start when 4m from the winner HANDSOME HERO, she has been in the money her past 5 in succession and can go close.

INNOCENT CROCKER (6) eased back from the wide gate last start and sat back in the pack, looking to eat into some metres in the closing stages. Only 4m in arrears 2 starts back, she can swoop hard.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (5) led them up last start, setting up the tempo for GOVERNOR JUJON to cruise on by to the prize. Not suited in the breeze the start prior, back to the mares only company suits.

SELECTIONS: MACEY JAYDE (7), GODDESS JUJON (4), INNOCENT CROCKER (6), COLOMBIAN GOLD (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MACEY JAYDE (7), to win

RACE FOUR

Heat 5 of the BOTRA Young Drivers Series takes place and despite the wide gate CAUTIVAR (7) can look to continue his great patch of form. Yet to miss the money in 9 starts since arriving in Qld, he paired off with the talented SPEECH IS SILVER last start and was in for the fight, holding 2nd by 4.5m with a further 13m back to 3rd. 3rd to GOVERNOR JUJON 2 starts back, he can arrive for the prize.

KOTARE ELITE (1) had an early look in  mares qualifier last start but with no lead on offer, rolled the sleeves to grind it out in the breeze. In for the fight, she held 2nd behind SAINT KILDA BEACH. That followed a 3rd to GODDESS JUJON and with the options from the ace, can look to challenge.

LETTERKENNY BOY (10) is another that has no missed a place since arriving in the Sunshine State, compiling a CV of 2 wins and 4 minors. Runner-up in a TrotRods last start, it followed a passing lane win the start prior. If the power is on up front, look for him to put the head down and charge home.

THE DOORMAN (3) went to the pegs from gate 9 last start, looking for the short-cuts and closed strongly to grab the silver behind MISS RUBY SUNSHINE. This is his best marble for some time and with early speed can fire the 1st shot and look to keep them lined up.

SELECTIONS: CAUTIVAR (7), KOTARE ELITE (1), LETTERKENNY BOY (10), THE DOORMAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-10

RACE FIVE

A tough edition of the Flashing Red to dissect with no stand-start lead up races held and 3 horses off the front line having their 1st taste of stand start conditions. With the benefit of the front-line tape, TENNYSON BROMAC (7) will be further tightened following his latest start when 2nd up from a break. His return run was a top effort when stuck off the track ant last start was in for the fight from the breeze. If he can get away, he might just be able to pinch this.

COLT THIRTY ONE (13) is the reigning Qld horse of the year and will line-up behind the tapes for the 1st time under race conditions. Given a pipe-opener under mobile conditions at the trials to prepare for his return, he did it comfortably in posting a margin. With 2 of his biggest victories here at The Creek coming when wearing a 2-digit saddlecloth, he has the class and ability to return with a bang.

CLINTAL DO (11) will be further tightened from his mid-week outing over the mile, closing strongly in the latter stages after settling back in the pack. Within a half-neck of GLENFERRIE HOOD the start prior, he can step and with a cart into the contest can feature.

MIDNIGHT MAN (3) will need to make the rise here, but does have the benefit of the front-line tape. With wins at 4 of his past 5 starts including an easy all the way win last start, he is in form and with a safe beginning can bob up at odds.

SELECTIONS: TENNYSON BROMAC (7), COLT THIRTY ONE (13), CLINTAL DO (11), MIDNIGHT MAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TENNYSON BROMAC (7) each-way

RACE SIX

The final heat of the Young drivers Series looks a tricky contest. SAM IS PERFECTION (2) started fav last time out from inside the 2nd line when locked away in the run and probing for the gaps when 8m from the dictating winner LETTUCEFIRESTAR. Charging home the start prior when beaten a half-neck, he has the gate to land the loot.

JAMES DEAN (9) was looking for position last start from gate 4 and was forced to retreat after being stuck wide. Only 1m from the winner via the passing lane the start prior, it followed a tough trip when wide off the track. He can secure the right run in transit here and be ready to offer.

HES OKEY DOKEY (1) settled in the running line last start and with the closing half set up for those in front, he was left a task to large. Placed his previous 3 starts, including a head 2nd, he has the gate to be right in the fight.

COMIGAL (8) has worked her way into form and lines up here with a quinella placing at her past 4 in succession. Charging home to grab the silver last start behind HANDSOME HERO, she can punch the pegs and probe for the podium.

SELECTIONS: SAM IS PERFECTION (2), JAMES DEAN (9), HES OKEY DOKEY (1), COMIGAL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE SEVEN

HARPAGUS (3)
will be 3rd up in Qld and should be nearing full fitness following her 1st 2 starts. Holding on for the bronze when 1st up over the mile, she was within 2m of the winner CAUTIVAR. Doing it tough from a wide gate last start at Redcliffe, she wasn’t far away and with a return to mares only company, she looks set to capitalise.

CHINOOK WINDS (1) secured the pocket trail last start and with a sharp mile carved out, was chasing hard to hold 3rd behind SAINT KILDA BEACH. Closing nicely along the passing lane 2 starts back to grab the silver behind GODDESS JUJON, she can get the perfect trip from this gate to strike late.

SIRIUS VICKI (9) eased from gate 5 last start to find position and with even splits over the closing 1200m, she couldn’t eat into the margin. A passing lane winner at Redcliffe the start prior, look for her swooping late.

MACH TORQUE (5) pressed ahead from gate 5 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and once taking control was able to see it out for a 4m victory. The 2nd line hurt her chances last start and if she can limit the early burn here, can feature,

SELECTIONS: HARPAGUS (3), CHINOOK WINDS (1), SIRIUS VICKI (9), MACH TORQUE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HARPAGUS (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

MAJESTIC SIMON (6) took on the 2647m trip last start and after the field were in single-file, he made the 1st mover to slide up to the chair at the 1200m. Putting the power on, he had too much to offer in scoring a 5m victory. Closing strongly the start prior from a 30m tape, he can make the most of these conditions to make it 6 from 12 here at The Creek.

GREG THE GREAT (9) started from the 10m tape over this trip 2 starts back when finding the line strongly in some smart closing splits to finish runner-up to GARLAND GREENE. Back to a 20m tape for a mid-week event here on Tues, he powered home to a smart win and with the right cart home here, can challenge.

GARLAND GREENE (5) made a smart start over this trip last week, pressing ahead to find the front, taking control and fighting them all off. Forget his previous start when striking trouble, he can feature again here.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (2) was slowly into stride last start, which saw him looking to apply the heat from the breeze over the 2138m, yet he couldn’t reel them in, finishing 10m in arrears of the winner. With wins at his previous 2 in succession, he can’t be discounted.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (6), GREG THE GREAT (9), GARLAND GREENE (5), SIR FAHRENHEIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (6) to win

RACE NINE

A great clash looming here with some talented 3YOs to do battle. Fitter following his latest run when returning from a Vic and NSW Derby campaign where he progressed to the Final in each state, GOVERNOR JUJON (7) cruised past the older horses to claim a smart win. The gate hurts, but back to his own age he looks too classy.

JIGGLE AND JIVE (8) will be 1st up from a break and having the 2nd prep of her 3YO term. Returning with a 3-start campaign in January, she was shut down again following a brilliant win in a Rising Stars Final. Opening the pipes with a tidy trial behind WITH THE BAND, she will have early options as the lone 2nd line runner.

BLACKSADANCE (5) has been in the money at his past 6 in succession, the latest when 4m from TIZ A SIZZLER here on Tuesday. Too strong out in front the start prior, he can fire the 1st shot here.

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6) sat in the pocket trail last start and with the cosy trip had bullets to fire in the stretch, accelerating sharply when the gap arrived to score. The gate hurts, but she won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (7), JIGGLE AND JIVE (8), BLACKSADANCE (5), MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOVERNOR JUJON (7) to win

RACE TEN

HEADWIN (6) was angled to the pegs last start from gate 10 when looking for the shortcuts and finishing not too far from the winner BOMBADIER JUJON over the 2138m. Fighting hard in the breeze in strong time the start prior at Redcliffe, he can use his early speed and look to pinch an open contest.

MISTER DIAMOND (10) was sitting back in the pack last start when working home strongly wide off the track to grab the silver when within 2m of the winner ZARAS ALL GOOD. He made a mess of things when 2nd up that cost him the ODM tag, but with the right cart into the contest, he can challenge.

IFYOUBELIEVE (4) is a perennial place-getter, adding another minor to his tally last start to make it a minor in 14 of his past 16 appearances. Only a half-neck away last start after working in the run, he can go close again.

TORQUE WRITER (1) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back when arriving for a handy win and then 2 starts back closed out strongly when 3m from the winner ALL GOOD WALLY. From the gate she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: HEADWIN (6), MISTER DIAMOND (10), IFYOUBELIEVE (4), TORQUE WRITER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
