RACE TWO

SPRING CAMAIGN (5) has been to the track 4 times since returning to Qld and despite a tough gate, looks to have found a suitable assignment here. Locked away and down the line behind SPEECH IS SILVER, he wasn’t helped by tiring runners in front. A tough 3rd 2 starts back, this looks his chance.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (2) was beaten by gate 7 last start over the AP mile when snagging back and then attacking the line strongly behind TIZ A SIZZLER. Arriving from gate 10 over the 2138m to score 3 starts back, he has the gate to utilise his early speed and look to fire the early shots here.

VANTO HANOVER (1) scored a narrow victory here 3 starts back and followed that with an issue that ended her race early. Finding the line nicely last start from back in the pack, she can get an easy trip to chime in late.

THREE MUGS IN (6) has been kept fresh since his latest outing when 12m from ANYCHANCE. Only 8m from TULHURST ACE the start prior, he is on a big class drop here, but lands the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: SPRING CAMAIGN (5), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (2), VANTO HANOVER (1), THREE MUGS IN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SPRING CAMAIGN (5) to win

RACE THREE

OCEANS PREDATOR (3)
will take some benefit from his latest start when returning from a spell. Snagged back from gate 6 over the 1780m, he was chasing against the tempo and always facing a task. With 12 months passing since his last victory, he has the early speed to turn things around.

MISSINMEMATE (8) features in a stable switch and will line up for the astute team prepared here at Redcliffe by Donny Smith. Beaten by gate 5 last start when snagging back, he wasn’t entirely comfortable the start prior. With even luck in transit, he stays under notice.

DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (2) eased back from gate 5 last start and from well back in the pack, was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages. Gunned down late when leading them up here 3 starts back, she is right in the fight.

FRENCH GLOBE (4) struck trouble last start that proved costly when down the line over the 1780m trip. Mid-field the start prior, with even luck in transit, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: OCEANS PREDATOR (3), MISSINMEMATE (8), DIAMONDSFROMHEAVEN (2), FRENCH GLOBE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OCEANS PREDATOR (3) to win

RACE FOUR

JEWEL OF PEAK (2)
was looking to complete a hat-trick of victories last start in the Marburg to Albion Final. Taking them all the way in the heat of that Series, she ran a smart last 800m around the tight Marburg circuit. 9m from the winner CHUMP CHOP in the Final, she can bounce back to dictate here.

ITSMEGS (4) will strip fitter following her 1st up run last start after close to 6-months off the scene. Wide for a long way at her return, she was mid-field after even panels were being carved out in front. A 4-time winner here on the triangle, early position will be key to her closing chances.

DONT CALL ME (6) doesn’t have many favours from wide off the track here, yet he is in nice touch, finishing in the money at his past 4 in succession. A TrotRods winner last Sunday, he is in the mix.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (7) will be 2nd up from a break after returning with a 5m 3rd over the 2040m here. Locked away on the pegs in that event, he looks set to be in a similar position and will be searching for space.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (2), ITSMEGS (4), DONT CALL ME (6), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (2) to win

RACE FIVE

PATCHWORK JET (6)
was sent forward from gate 4 in a 947m scamper that is the TrotRods last start and was able to out-punch them to the line in scoring by a half-head. Closing out to grab the bronze over the 2040m here 2 starts back behind THE WARP REACTOR, the gate stings, but he might just have their measure.

ALL GOOD WALLY (5) eased back from gate 5 over the AP mile 3 starts back and was able to finish best to claim a 3m victory. From the pocket trail at his next start, he held on for the bronze behind the dictating SOMEHOWSOMEWAY. This is more suitable than his latest start and he can throw down the challenge.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8) was 6m from the winner WHATELEY last start, trying to launch a bid in the latter stages. Not much went his way the start prior and with even luck from the 2nd line, he can feature.

BERTILS DELIGHT (2) was forced to retreat from gate 6 last start and from back in the pack was always facing a task. Back in the main draw after facing the ODM embargo her past 3, she can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (6), ALL GOOD WALLY (5), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8), BERTILS DELIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (5) features in a stable switch and will line up for Vicki Rasmussen here. The 3YO has faced some tough barriers, yet he didn’t let that thwart his chances here 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from gate 8 and packing too many guns to score. ^m in arrears last start after being buried in the run, he can arrive again here.

MONTANA EXPRESS (6) was wide off the track the last lap here last start when down the line over the 2040m trip. Trying to make ground the start prior from a long way back, he will appreciate the return to the 1780m and finds the right type of contest to issue a challenge.

INCITER (4) has been without a win in 18 months now, however he hasn’t been too far away in recent appearances. 6m from THE MONEY BALL at AP 2 starts back, he can be thereabouts again.

DASHING HANNAH (2) is tailor-made for the TrotRods 947m scampers and proved that with 2 wins at her past 3 under that format. She lands the gate to fire out here, can she hold on over an extra lap?

SELECTIONS: GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (5), MONTANA EXPRESS (6), INCITER (4), DASHING HANNAH (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Despite facing the wide gate as a result of her starting manners, PEGGY STARDUST (6) might have found another suitable assignment. Releasing the front here 3 starts back, she boxed on to hold 3rd and followed that with victory over the 2040m. Beaten a half-neck in a TrotRods scamper last time, this looks within reach.

FEELING THE POWER (3) started from inside the 2nd line last start but couldn’t feel it when the power went on and faded the last 300m. Freshened since that effort, he can loo to fire the 1st shot here and if finding the front can look to be much sharper.

WEASEL (8) is approaching 12 months since his last victory, but he looks to have found himself in a suitable assignment here. Wie off the track last start, with the right trail he can be thereabouts.

TOTAL DELIRIUM (4) held on for the silver at Marburg 2 starts back after forced to race in the pocket trail. Outside the leader in a TrotRods last start, he will be better suited here.

SELECTIONS: PEGGY STARDUST (6), FEELING THE POWER (3), WEASEL (8), TOTAL DELIRIUM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PEGGY STARDUST (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

VOODOO FELLA (5) had been building towards a victory after some handy performances, including an effort when collared in the stretch after leading them up over the AP mile. Finding the front from this gate on Thursday, he capitalised to fight them off from the front. He can repeat that effort here.

WHATELEY (6) has hit his straps, with wins at 3 of his past 5 appearances, all here on the triangle. Easing back from gate 4 over the 1780m, he charged home to arrive for the prize 4 starts back and then after 2 runs that didn’t suit, bounced back here on Wednesday night. The gate stings, but he can swoop.

MODERN THOUGHT (8) eased from gate 5 last start prior to making a tidy closing effort to grab the bronze. Forced to race tough here 3 starts back when holding on for 3rd, she can chime in here.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (7) was away from the inside in the early stages last start and then obliged to do it tough outside the leader and winner VOODOO FELLA. With n easier trip, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: VOODOO FELLA (5), WHATELEY (6), MODERN THOUGHT (8), MAGHERA MAGGIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: VOODOO FELLA (5) to win

RACE NINE

TALENT IN SPADES (2) steps out for the 4th time in the Matt Elkins silks as she looks to open her win account. Stuck looking for position last start, she was forced to snag back from gate 5 and was never really in the hunt. Banished to the trials 2 starts back after drifting up the track, she gets her chance in this line-up.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (3) found the front prior to releasing over this trip 2 starts back and was best of the chasers behind LANOCH BOY. Last start she looked to take them all the way form gate 1 when gunned down in the closing stages to be 6m in arrears. With the good gate she can challenge here.

BUTHCERFEELGOOD (8) doesn’t get many favours with the 2nd line gate, yet she should be able to trail through in the early stages to find position. Not much has gone to plan her past few, but she can be sharper here.

GRANDLARCENY (1) has been to the track twice this prep and been well beaten on both occasions. Freshened since his last outing at AP, he lands the gate for an easy trip and can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: TALENT IN SPADES (2), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (3), BUTHCERFEELGOOD (8), GRANDLARCENY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TALENT IN SPADES (2) to win

RACE TEN

A two-stable showdown looks set to dominate the last race with Mal Charlton preparing 3 and Karen Bennett preparing 3 of the 7 runners. The Charlton trained SHADOW HALL (7) should have taken great benefit from a 1st up win at Marburg after close to 12 months on the sidelines. With the early options off the 2nd line, he can land the prize.

JANSSON (4) pressed forward from the 10m tape over the 2138m at AP last start and once in control was too smart for them in cruising home to claim a 10m victory. Tough in the breeze when 1st up in Qld the start prior at Marburg, he looks the main threat.

EL SWAVO (3) took his career to triple figures last start when chasing home for the bronze behind JANSSON. Yet to win from the mobile or here at the triangle, he looks a place chance.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5) has a tidy record from the mobile with a top-3 in 4 of her 6 outings. Placed in 3 of her past 4 starts, she can be making a closing play here.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW HALL (7), JANSSON (4), EL SWAVO (3), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
