RACE TWO

ORLANDO JOLT (7) started from the front tape 2 runs back over this trip and settling in the 1x1 trail was not too far from the winner MELPARK MAGIC. Asked to work hard in the run last start in Saturday night grade, it was a game effort to be within 4m of the winner and hold 3rd. Conditions look ideal here.

KRAZE (9) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when packing too many bullets in the closing gun fight. Only a half-neck away 2 starts back after settling back in the field and then charging home, he has been in great touch and with the right run will throw down the challenge.

THE REAPER (2) is at his best when near the pointy end of proceedings in the run and should appreciate a front tape here after recent stands he has been off a mark. He found them too slick last start under mobile conditions but can be sharper here.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (1) will take some benefit from her last start when returning from a spell. Not much went her way in that outing and placed in her previous 2 prior to the break, the inside lane suits.

SELECTIONS: ORLANDO JOLT (7), KRAZE (9), THE REAPER (2), ROSEHILL MAGIC (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ORLANDO JOLT (7) to win

RUN BOY RUN (6) scored in Saturday night Band 5 company 3 starts back when taking the trail and then finishing best up the passing lane to score. Backing that up with victory in claiming grade at the mile, he was game in defeat after doing the heavy lifting ion the breeze at the 2138m last time. He looks up to the task.

SABRAGE (3) took the trail from gate 1 last start and with the economical run throughout was able to make the closing shot a winning one over the 2138m. Beaten a head here 3 starts back behind CHANTREY from the pocket trail, he has the early hustle to find the right position to challenge.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (1) bounced back to winning form last start at Redcliffe when charging home in the closing stages to score over the 2040m trip. The inside gate suits and he will make a closing play.
ITRANSIT (2) was soon in a rearward position last start after easing to find a spot in the running line and from back in the pack could not work into it. Settling closer in the smaller field will aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: RUN BOY RUN (6), SABRAGE (3), WATTLEBANK FLYER (1), ITRANSIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RUN BOY RUN (6) to win

RACE FOUR

DANCE IN THE SUN (8)
was 1st up from a break here 2 starts back and after working hard to get around the pack from the 2nd line just peaked in the stretch and had to settle for the silver. Much sharper in front last start when 2nd up, she was never in danger in a new PB of 54 flat for the mile. She can take the snipers shot here.

GOING FOR GOLD (10) was sent for a break after his last start after dropping out sharply and tailing them in. That had followed 3 successive wins to start his Aus career where he had showed versatility with a win form the front and then a strong win when making a wide and sustained run. With a smart trial, he will take great benefit from whatever he achieves.

CALL ME KEITH (1) found conditions to suit last start at his 3rd run since arriving in Aus and from the front took them all the way in a strong mile. From the gate he will be gripping on.

RAANI (6) used gate 1 to full advantage last start when leading throughout to claim her 1st win since joining the Sallis stable. That followed a gritty run at Redcliffe and despite a wide gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (8), GOING FOR GOLD (10), CALL ME KEITH (1), RAANI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (8) to win

RACE FIVE

ONLYSBEST (4) has had an interrupted campaign since returning for his 3YO season that has seen a win sandwiched either side of a disappointment and a luckless run. With 8 weeks between runs, his last start was a luckless effort when probing for openings that did not arrive. With the added fitness he can look to capitalise here.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (1) was angled down to the pegs last start from the 2nd line over the mile and searching for gaps was attacking the line hard to get within a head of the winner. 7m away the start prior in a Trot Rods event, he looks set to get the perfect trip to make a closing play here.

BLACKJACK JIM (8) found the gaps to charge home along the passing lane last start for the prize and should appreciate a similar position in transit here. With even luck he can be in the mix.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (6) was a long way back in the pack last start from gate 12 before finding the line in nice order over the 2138m trip. A Redcliffe winner the start prior, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ONLYSBEST (4), BETTOR WATCH HIM (1), BLACKJACK JIM (8), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLYSBEST (4) to win

RACE SIX

ITZ MAJOR RICH (4)
pressed forward to find position last start and after doing some early work secured the 1x1 trail to then grab the bronze behind the dictating DANCE IN THE SUN. Fitter for the outing after 5 weeks between runs, he strikes  a winnable race here and gets his chance to cash-in.

COPPICE (1) was beaten by the 2nd line last start when settling back in the field and trying to make a closing challenge. Buried in the run the start prior from inside the 2nd line, he was attacking the line in nice order to be 5m in arrears of the winner. The gate is a big plus to his challenging chances.

FAIRIESDELIGHT (7) was snagged back from this gate last start to secure position and was trying to make ground over the latter stages. A tidy 3rd here 3 starts back, with even luck she can chime in.

LANCELOT BROMAC (10) keeps on keeping on and last start landed a close-out victory after retreating early from gate 6. He lines up for the 415th time here and will be trucking home late.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MAJOR RICH (4), COPPICE (1), FAIRIESDELIGHT (7), LANCELOT BROMAC (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ITZ MAJOR RICH (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

HELD TO RANSOM (2)
heads North for the visiting KerryAnn Morris stable who always manages to find the right types to make the pilgrimage. This mare was in the pocket trail last start at Menangle and not too far from the winner MIGHTY FLYING ART. An all the way winner on the big deck 5 runs back, she gets a chance to dictate here.

KATAMACH (4) will strip fitter from her latest appearance when resuming from a spell and stepping out for Vicki Rasmussen for the 1st time. Taking the trail over the 2138m trip, she made a closing dive to get within a half-head of the winner KANYE CRUSADER. She might need to roll the sleeves here.

ALE ALE KAI (1) eased from gate 3 last start to secure position and was soon back in the field when making some late ground behind the winner EH EF EL. With the cosy trip on offer here she can feature.

JUMPING JACK JIMMY (9) has been in the top-two at all 3 starts since arriving in Qld, leading in all 3 events. We will get to see what he can do chasing here and after going within a pimple of holding on to score last start, looks right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: HELD TO RANSOM (2), KATAMACH (4), ALE ALE KAI (1), JUMPING JACK JIMMY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-9

RACE EIGHT

LEOS BEST (12)
has no favours from outside the 2nd line but there looks to be some good early hustle and mid-race tempo here which should suit. Pegged away from inside the 2nd line last start, he was chasing gamely as SAUCY DREAMS had the power on in front. Buried the start prior, he can arrive.

TAROONA BROMAC (11) made the perfect start to his Qld Winter holiday when taking them all the way over the mile 2 starts back in Saturday night grade. Releasing last start after pressing to the front, he was not that far from the winner SPEEDY DOMINIC and despite the 2nd line will throw it down here.

KINGOFTHESTARS (6) had tapered off somewhat but last start was a much sharper effort when starting from the 2nd line and finishing within 3m of the winner. He can show further improvement here.

CLARRY (7) was making good metres in the concluding stages last time out to grab the bronze behind MISTERFREEZE when only beaten a half-head. The gate stings but look for him charging.

SELECTIONS: LEOS BEST (12), TAROONA BROMAC (11), KINGOFTHESTARS (6), CLARRY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LEOS BEST (12) to win

RACE NINE

BAILEYS KNIGHT (4) is another of the Morris visitors and finds the right race to make a 1st impression. A Newcastle winner 2 starts back when pressing on to take control and then run out a strong mile, he was then back in the pack when trying to make ground last start over the Menangle 2300m. This suits.

OUR UNCLE JIM (8) pressed forward last start after being sent to the post as a red figure fav and asked to work hard in the run over the 2138m, faded from the tough trip. A qualifying winner 2 starts back when pressing forward to take control, he has the 2nd line options to challenge.

JONAH JONES (5) did his share of work last start from this gate to secure position and was game to the wire when 3rd behind CARDLESFROMHEAVEN and only 4m in arrears. This is not out of reach.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (6) was sent around to the breeze from the 2nd line last time out at Redcliffe but could not go on with it when fading late. Within 1.5m of NIMAH FRANCO here 2 starts back, he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: BAILEYS KNIGHT (4), OUR UNCLE JIM (8), JONAH JONES (5), COURAGEOUS SAINT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BAILEYS KNIGHT (4) to win
