Work on the Eagle Farm track remediation project is underway with the primary contractor starting the process of removing the track’s top layer.

As detailed in a Racing Queensland update last Friday, FKG moved onto the site this week and began working on the track with heavy machinery yesterday.

Already the contractors are making significant progress removing the first 100 metres of track in preparation for work on the profile.

The Eagle Farm track remediation project control group (PCG), including officers from RQ, BRC and independent turf and profile experts are collaborating on all aspects of the remediation project.

The surface will be subjected to rigorous testing before the all-clear is given for a return to racing.
