RACE ONE

ELUSIVE PROMISE (3)
is working closer to a maiden breaking victory and finds a suitable race to achieve that. Last start from gate 1 she looked to take them all the way when beaten up the passing lane which followed a late closing run to be 7m from the winner BEEF CITY BLAZE. This looks her chance.

MAYWYNS MODEL (2) will strip fitter following her return to the track for her 3YO term last start. Beginning from gate 5 she found running line cover when mid-field behind SHERIFF JUJON. From the gate she can settle handy and won’t be far away.

MINI MIRACLE (7) will need a slice of luck to get away from the pegs but if able to work into some space in time can place in a wide-open fight for the minors. Banished to the trials last start she earnt her spot back to raceday and with this gate get her chance to fill a top3 position.

BABY LUV (1) has struggled to bring her best to raceday and last start was sent back to the trials for a sub-par effort. With the benefit of gate 1 she can look to secure a cosy trip and can look to fill a minor when hitting the gaps in the latter stages.

EARLY SPEED: 3, 2, 1
SELECTIONS:
ELUSIVE PROMISE (3), MAYWYNS MODEL (2), MINI MIRACLE (7), BABY LUV (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ELUSIVE PROMISE (3) to win

RACE TWO

TASCOTT LADY (3) has now had 3 starts back from a long break and should be starting to get towards full fitness. Last start here over the 1780m she worked hard in the breeze and fought to the line to go under a head. From this gate she might need to do some work again but looks to go close.

LIVING FREE (1) found the front from gate 2 here last week and looked to take them all the way. Leading into the stretch she was collared and just missed holding on for 3rd. That followed a 2nd at Marburg when leading and from this gate will be gripping to the lead once again.

CURRUMBINKID (10) will strip fitter for his return from a freshen last start at Marburg. Starting from the 2nd line he found gaps and finished well to claim a 2m victory. That was just his 3rd career start and with the experience and confidence of the win has some claims here.

MIDLOIN BLUES (6) has placed at each of his past 2 starts, the latest a 3rd at Inverell when working home from a 2md line draw. Only beaten a half-neck 2 starts back when resuming from a long break, with the added fitness he can feature.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (early leader), 3, 2
SELECTIONS:
TASCOTT LADY (3), LIVING FREE (1), CURRUMBINKID (10), MIDLOIN BLUES (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TASCOTT LADY (3) to win

RACE THREE

CHANG (8) has struggled to land a winning blow with his last win coming back in January. Despite the 2nd line gate he does find a winnable target here. Last start he was working home wide off the track when unable to make ground on the leaders. In a wide open event he can cash-in.

FLIPPA PENNY (1) will need to stoke up early to try to protect the inside running early and avoid being buried away against the markers. 3 starts back her run here over the 1780m was good when 3rd behind THE RESTAURANTEUR, Forget her latest start when making an error, she is right in this.

TORQUE WRITER (4) started from gate 3 last start and was working home in good order to finish 7m from the winner SANTASTIC PRINCESS. She should take benefit from that run being her 1st since returning from a freshen and with even luck in position she can feature.

SPARK OF GLORY (9) has just the one placing from eight career starts but is working towards a win in the right race. Last start from inside the 2nd line she was buried away and followed then home for 7th. The gate hurts and she won’t be too far away in this.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (early leader), 2 , 4
SELECTIONS:
CHANG (8), FLIPPA PENNY (1), TORQUE WRITER (4), SPARK OF GLORY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHANG (8) to win

RACE FOUR

CHEVALS DIAMOND (1)
worked hard in the run when sent forward from gate 5 at Tamworth last start and fought hard to the line to finish within 4m of the winner ZODIAC DREAM. He made a costly error 2 starts back at Inverell and with the benefit of gate 1 looks to get his chance to breakthrough.

IDEAL HOLMBOY (7) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 here last start and was able to hold 4th behind TRAIN WRECK. 2 starts back he met a much stronger event when well covered and with the cosy trip expected here, look for him taking a closing shot.

MISTER CHOMP (4) was banished to the trails 2 starts back and returned a tidy effort to make some late ground in that trial. Returning to the races last start he was working home wide out when working into 3rd behind the tear-away winner MAKE A POINT. Settling closer to the speed he can place again.

DONT ARK WITH ME (8) worked home to fill the minors last start when 12m from the winner TRAIN WRECK after finding gaps. 2 starts back she looked to lead throughout and running even splits couldn’t see it out. With even luck she has podium claims.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (early leader), 2, 3
SELECTIONS:
CHEVALS DIAMOND (1), IDEAL HOLMBOY (7), MISTER CHOMP (4), DONT ARK WITH ME (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEVALS DIAMOND (1) to win

RACE FIVE

MISTER HART (2)
returned from a spell in good order and was able to land successive 2nd placed returns. Only beaten a half-head when resuming when looking to go all the way he was then 3m from the in-form SOMEPARTYSOMEWHERE. Finding the pegs from the good alley he can take this.

BETTING BARON (8) will take further benefit from his latest outing when taking the bronze in a Gold Pot final after hitting the line strongly from back in the pack. Only 2m from the winner in the heat he overcame an embargo to return to the draw. Following through at the start to settle close, he is in the mix.

CONCENTRATION (10) will strip fitter following 2 runs back from a spell and since arriving in Qld. Both runs have been at Marburg where he has placed on both occasions. At his Qld debut he looked to lead throughout when beaten a neck and followed that with a tough run from the outside gate. Look for him working home late.

SACHE GIRL (5) gets in here on a big class drop but does resume from a spell without any public trial appearances. Last start she took on a mares qualifier when working home from a long way back and that followed a 5m 4th behind DJANGO MACH. If forward enough in condition she can take this.

EARLY SPEED: 2(early leader), 4, 5
SELECTIONS:
MISTER HART (2), BETTING BARON (8), CONCENTRATION (10), SACHE GIRL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER HART (2) to win

RACE SIX

BOB GAGE (1)
has placed in 7 of his past 11 starts and has then benefit of the ace gate. Last start he may have finished closer than the 7m margin when working home from a 2nd line gate after being checked. 2 starts back he worked hard in the run when 5m from the winner and with the improved gate gets his chance.

LATIN BEATS (5) has 2 wins and a minor at her past 4 starts with the only miss coming when landing gate 7 in a Gold Pot heat taken out by the smart SAN DOMINO. Starting from inside the 2nd line last start she was angled into the running line and finished best with a strong closing sprint for a 3m victory. Finding position without getting too far back is the key to her chances.

MISS CATALINA (3) put together successive victories 5 starts back with a tough win at Tamworth followed by a strong win from gate 10 here on the triangle when working forward in the middle stages. She found the line strongly last start when 1.5m from the winner and is in the mix here.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (9) was a dominant winner here 4 starts back when sent straight to the front and taking them all the way over the 2040m trip to post a 27m victory. A win in a Marburg heat followed and he then started red figures in the final at AP when burning too hard early. Look for a swooping finish.

EARLY SPEED: 1 (early leader), 3, 2
SELECTIONS:
BOB GAGE (1), LATIN BEATS (5), MISS CATALINA (3), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BOB GAGE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (5) worked in the run last start when circling the field from the 2nd line before finishing 9m from the winner. That followed a tidy effort in an M0 final when starting from gate 12 and finding the line in good order. This looks a suitable target and can be a QLD breakthrough.

ETERNAL GLORY (3) will take good benefit from his latest start which was the 1st in 11 months. Settling in the running line from gate 2 at Inverell, he was best of the chasers to grab 2nd behind FRANCO SEVILLE. He has claims from the gate.

CORPORAL JUJON (10) has struggled to show his best in recent starts and has been well beaten at his past 2 Albion Park runs. Following a 4 week gap between runs he should take some fitness from his latest start and with a record of 9 wins from 12 starts at Redcliffe he can be an improver.

BACCHUS RAUCOUS (8) will find this a touch easier than what he has been facing having been racing well on the Sat night circuit. 4 starts back he went within a half-neck of victory and then was 10m and 6m from the winner at his next 2 starts. Despite the 2nd line gate he can’t be ignored

EARLY SPEED: 5 (early leader), 3, 2, 1
SELECTIONS:
KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (5), ETERNAL GLORY (3), CORPORAL JUJON (10), BACCHUS RAUCOUS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHARDONS SHERALEE (2)
has been no closer than gate 6 at her past 6 starts with the past 5 of those being from the 2nd line. Last start from gate 11 she was working home strongly to get within 3m of the winner. A 2nd in a mares qualifier 5 starts back behind KASH, she looks to get her chance with the improved barrier.

MR BOSLEY (1) might need to hustle early to protect the inside and avoid being shuffled back. 3 starts back he claimed the bronze when working in the run and finishing 1.5m from the winner. Striking trouble at his next start, he will be looking to turn around a 2 year winless streak.

UNCLE JOHN (6) has the wide gate to negotiate but has been in good touch at his past 3 starts. From inside the 2nd line at his last start he worked in the run when beaten 1m behind WEEDONS EXPRESS. His win 3 starts back was a tidy effort and despite the gate can be right in the mix.

BRONZE ECSTASY (9) resumes from a freshen with his latest start back in October when working home in good order from back in the pack at AP to finish 3m from the winner ROCKNROLLHIGHLIGHT. Needing some factors to go his way he has podium claims.

EARLY SPEED: 2 (early leader), 1, 3
SELECTIONS:
SHARDONS SHERALEE (2), MR BOSLEY (1), UNCLE JOHN (6), BRONZE ECSTASY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDONS SHERALEE (2) to win
