Trainer Chris Anderson is hopeful new stable acquisition Tibrogargan Miss can make a winning debut for the stable in the Cannonball Series at Kilcoy on Friday.
Kilcoy is a saucer-like track and is often referred to as the "Moonee Valley of the north" and like the famous Melbourne venue barriers are critical.
Tibrogargan Miss, a Jim Orman mount, has drawn barrier six in the Carlton Mid Cannonball Series over the 800-metre dash.
Anderson would have preferred a longer race to kick off the five-year-old mare’s new career under him but hasn’t been able to find a more suitable race for her.
“I would have preferred her to start off in a 1000-metre race somewhere but she’s a tricky horse to place,” Anderson said.
