RACE TWO

DAPPER (7) was back in the pack last start and chased in vain behind an impressive PATERNITY SUIT who has since won again. That followed 5 successive placed runs, all behind some smart performers. His run 2 back was a strong effort in the breeze and with a cosy trip here can look for the closing shot.

JACKS AT THE BEACH (1) is at his best when able to roll in front and from gate 1 gets conditions to suit here. Last start he was working hard in the breeze after pressing ahead from gate 5 which followed an unsuited run from the 2nd line. From this gate he will be gripping on in the stretch.

IM FREE FALLING (3) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Starting from the 2nd line he was hitting the line strongly to be 4m from the winner and with good early speed he is right in the fight.

BIG BEAT (6) went back from gate 5 last start and was well back in the pack when looking to make a closing run. With a solid tempo looking on offer, he can look to work home in the closing stages.

SELECTIONS: DAPPER (7), JACKS AT THE BEACH (1), IM FREE FALLING (3), BIG BEAT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DAPPER (7) to win

RACE THREE

OOZINVILLE (4) has shown good improvement at his past 2 starts and was going around on Wed night where he looked well placed. Only beaten 1m over the 1780m here 2 starts back his nest run was an eye catcher from a long way back. With good early speed he can look for the pegs and dictate.

MY MAGIC MERLIN (6) was in the pocket trail here on Tues from inside the 2nd line and was trying to eat into the leader and winners margin when finishing a 3m 2nd. That followed a tough run when wide off the 2nd line. He can look to roll forward here and throw down the challenge.

VELUTI (2) found his race here 3 starts back when settling in the 1x1 was able to finish over the top for a nice win. Beaten by the gate his next 2, the return to the front line can be the catalyst for a sharper effort.

PARKLANE LASS (3) was buried away on the pegs last start and never really worked into it. Grabbed in the closing stages here 3 starts back when looking to lead throughout, she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: OOZINVILLE (4), MY MAGIC MERLIN (6), VELUTI (2), PARKLANE LASS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OOZINVILLE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MAJOR CURRENCY (6)
will step out in Qld for the 1st time for visiting trainer Craig Cross. Runner-up at his past 3 starts in succession the latest was at Newcastle back on Oct 26 when he led early before taking a trail and finishing 7m from BLUE BLAZER. Despite the tough gate he can look to cash-in.

IM NORMA JEAN (5) has been freshened since she was last seen when having no luck early and needed to restrain to find position at the back of the pack. That followed a pair of runs from the 2nd line gates and with her best work done in front, if she can scoot across to the pegs cheaply, she comes right into contention.

TELL THE FUTURE (9) was too strong last start from gate 1 when taking them all the way to score a 9m victory. That turned around her fortunes after a trip of sub-par efforts. With added confidence she is in the mix.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) worked home in good order from the 2nd line last start to grab the bronze behind ARK TEAMO. Finding position cheaply is her best chance of able to do so has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR CURRENCY (6), IM NORMA JEAN (5), TELL THE FUTURE (9), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR CURRENCY (6) to win

RACE FIVE

LIVING GRAND (5) had been racing well without the rewards for his efforts until 2 starts back from gate 1 he was able to dictate and hold off a late challenge to land a head victory. He did his share of work last start and just faded the closing stages. Pressing the issue again he can grind this out.

VILLAGE CRUISER (2) worked home from gate 5 in good order here 3 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier. His next start had merit behind VANDE VELDE and then on Tues couldn’t sustain the strong tempo he set from the front. With a cheaper run in front he will be looking to fight them off.

ONE LAST ROLL (1) was wide off the track and was making good closing metres last start at Marburg in a run that had merit for no reward. Only 4m from THE BOYS GNP 2 starts back he can get amongst the action here.

HE GETS IT (9) has been freshened since his last outing when overcoming gate 7 at AP and after covering plenty of extra territory in the run packed too many guns. He in the mix from the gate.

SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (5), VILLAGE CRUISER (2), ONE LAST ROLL (1), HE GETS IT (9),
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING GRAND (5) to win

RACE SIX

PROJECTILE (7)
found 1x1 cover last start and was driving hard in the closing stages to get within 1m of the winner RUTHLLESS ARMBRO. 2 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier he found the line in good style when 3.5m from the winner. With early options and this his easiest assignment for some time he can capitalise.

RAINBOW STYLING (2) makes her Qld debut for Tayla Gillespie after a 4 starts Sydney campaign. 2nd over the 1720m at Penrith 4 starts back, she then struggled at her next few. Drawn to use her early speed and find the pegs she can be an improver here 1st up.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (1) ended up too far back last start after snagging back to find position and couldn’t work into it late. This is easier than his last start and from the cosy trip has place hopes.

GIVE ME FIFTY (3) might find this a shade easier than recent starts and from this gate can look to secure a soft run. With the right run he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: PROJECTILE (7), RAINBOW STYLING (2), WILD ABOUT TOWN (1), GIVE ME FIFTY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: PROJECTILE (7) to win
