RACE TWO

TIN ROOF RAIDER (10) started fav here last week and was forced to race tough in the breeze over the sprint trip and the effort stung him when finishing mid-field. A nice winner 3 starts back followed by a 3rd when only a neck away, he might be better served chasing and he can be charging late here.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (7) makes his Qld debut for the Dixon stable and arrives with some handy figures that show a top-three in two-thirds of his race starts. A last start Dub-Vegas winner when leading throughout in even panels, he has the tough gate 1st up but can’t be ignored.

MONTANA CHIEF (8) had no luck at all last week when caught wide and taking close to 800m before he was able to find the pegs. The run was full of merit under the circumstances and he is in the mix.

RANFURLY RULZ (3) rolled forward from gate 5 last start over the sprint trip but with no position on offer had to snag back to the rear. This is a trifle harder than recent starts, but settling closer helps.

SELECTIONS: TIN ROOF RAIDER (10), CONVAIR HUSTLER (7), MONTANA CHIEF (8), RANFURLY RULZ (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TIN ROOF RAIDER (10) to win

RACE THREE

There are a few mares that are knocking on the door to win their qualifier and PAY ME INTEREST (2) well and truly falls into that category. Struggling to land a marble, the random draw has been kind this week. 8m away last week after starting from the 2nd line, this looks her chance to capitalise.

INVITE ONLY (11) was 3rd up form a break and following a switch to the Donny Smith barn when she kept the power on all the way out in front over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start. Brutal in scoring by a 13m margin, this will be tougher off the 2nd line, but building off that win she can’t be dismissed.

SOULWRITER (1) looked to take them all the way last week from this same gate and led them deep into the stretch, only to be collared late. With the peg-line benefits, she will be fighting hard again.

JANIES GOT A GUN (8) hasn’t been getting the rewards for her efforts of late, facing some tough alleys and working hard. Awaiting the lane from the snipers spot, she can pull the trigger.

SELECTIONS: PAY ME INTEREST (2), INVITE ONLY (11), SOULWRITER (1), JANIES GOT A GUN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PAY ME INTEREST (2) to win

RACE FOUR

IMA TOP TYCOON (2)
made the most of conditions last start over the 2138m when leading all the way, holding on late after walking them through the opening half. That followed a tough run in the breeze for 2nd when fighting hard in a new track record at Redcliffe. He can look to dictate again.

RORY MACH (1) is in arguably career best form and last start was locked away 3 back when finishing 8m from IMA TOP TYCOON. Arriving with a closing burst to claim victory in a new career PB the start prior, he can settle one position closer this week and will be dressed and ready to dance up the lane.

ROYAL LINCOLN (11) wasn’t told that his race last start looked a two-horse battle that didn’t involve him. Holding the lead, he never gave anything a chance in a brutal 21m victory. The gate stings, but the power of his last victory can see him challenge.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (8) didn’t have things go his way last start from gate 5 over the Redcliffe 2040m and the start prior he was a smart 2nd to DREAM TO SHARE. He will be probing openings here.

SELECTIONS: IMA TOP TYCOON (2), RORY MACH (1), ROYAL LINCOLN (11), MAFUTA VAUTIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-11

RACE FIVE

OUR MEMPHIS MAC (6) had been returning some handy performances of late from some tough draws and flying under the radar somewhat. Last start from gate 11 he swooped hard down the centre of the track to arrive for a stylish win. This isn’t too much harder and he can repeat the dose.

DONNY JONES (12) isn’t given any favours from the 2nd line carpark, but this might just be a shade or two easier than what he has been meeting. Running IM NORMA JEAN to a half-neck here on Tuesday, he was an all the way 2nd division qualifier winner here 5 starts back. Look for him late.

MY WINGMAN (1) didn’t show any of his early speed last start from gate 2 in a much stronger contest and finished down the line. From the ace he can fire out here and be gripping on late.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (9) has been I the money at 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest when making a closing play to get within a neck of the winner IM MAJOR HARRY. Best with one shot, he will probe.

SELECTIONS: OUR MEMPHIS MAC (6), DONNY JONES (12), MY WINGMAN (1), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MEMPHIS MAC (6) to win

RACE SIX

This race shapes as a great battle with differing form-lines merging together and likely some big prices for horses that are a legitimate chance. While he will need some factors in his favour, CLARKEY (8) will get a soft run in transit and following a lethal beginner, should get the ideal trip. 7m away last week when chasing hard, his previous 2 didn’t suit and approaching full fitness after 4 runs back from a break, can take the inside line to arrive.

ALWAYS IN COMMAND (3) has raced at The Creek on 5 previous occasions with his best result a solitary 3rd. However, he shoots for 6 wins in succession here after claiming 5 on the bounce on The Triangle, the latest a new track record when powering to the prize. He gets his chance from the gate.

DREAM TO SHARE (12) started from gate 10 last start at Redcliffe and was strong to the line from a long way back, 6m in arrears of FIOKI. Winning 3 of his previous 4 starts, he will be chiming in late.

MATTGREGOR (11) faces the sticky gate here and although he is racing consistently, his wins have been spaced. Beaten no more than a neck at his past 3, he will make his presence felt despite the 11.

SELECTIONS: CLARKEY (8), ALWAYS IN COMMAND (3), DREAM TO SHARE (12), MATTGREGOR (11)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARKEY (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

SECRETAGENT TYCOON (11) was well beaten last start, but so was the whole field as ROYAL LINCOLN was wheeling and dealing in front to a big victory. Prior to that, he had been in electric form with 4 successive wins in a mix of power and pace. Over the 2138m he can bounce back.

THATS HOW WEROLL (5) is a horse that needs some luck in his races finding position cheaply without being too far back will be key to his hopes. Hitting the line nicely last start behind COLONEL JOY, his 2nd to SECRETAGENT TYCOON 3 starts back was a sharp effort. Look for him swooping.

RUN BOY RUN (8) isn’t having the best run of luck and add to that some tough gates, he is probably going a little better than his numbers suggest. With a soft run on offer, he will be probing gaps here.

SIR MACADOR (1) made the most of the ace at Redcliffe 2 starts back when leading all the way to claim a 2nd division qualifier. He didn’t see a lot of space last start and with the peg-line benefits, is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SECRETAGENT TYCOON (11), THATS HOW WEROLL (5), RUN BOY RUN (8), SIR MACADOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SECRETAGENT TYCOON (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

ALE ALE KAI (10) sat in the pocket trail last start and when angled to the outside, was able to overpower the leader and arrive on the line for a tidy win in even panels. Not far from MUCH BETTOR the start prior, she looks to get into this race nicely and can flex her strength.

LIVING GRAND (4) started off the 2nd line last start and was back in the pack in transit with the race developing into a last panel blitz, he was too far back to get into the money. A tidy 2nd here in a 2nd division qualifier 4 starts back, he can press forward to settle handy and throw down the challenge.

MONTANA LAD (5) is only lightly raced and faces the sternest test of his career thus far, but he has shown his share of ability. Buried in the run his past 2, if he can find cheap position, he can feature.

RED LUCK (3) settled in the pocket trail here on Tuesday and was sound to the line when 7m in arrears of CHERRYS THE BEST. Threading a passage at Redcliffe for 2nd the start prior, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: ALE ALE KAI (10), LIVING GRAND (4), MONTANA LAD (5), RED LUCK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALE ALE KAI (10) to win

RACE NINE

MAYBETOTHEMAX (9) started inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start under mobile conditions when buried in the run and finding the line strongly in the closing stages. A big winner the start prior when powering home to a 16m margin off a 30m impost, he gets in well from the 10m and can arrive here.

DAVEYS GIFT (1) is racing in nice order and despite facing a tougher ask in this contest, the benefit of the front line tape certainly works in his favour. Gunned down in the stretch here on Tues over the longer 2647m, he can get a cosy trip here and back to the 2138m can issue the challenge.

IM THE COMMANDO (8) was locked away on the pegs here on Tues before finding clear space in the stretch and looming up before SPRINGBANK EDEN sailed past. With the right trip he is in the mix.

IVANOV (2) wasn’t suited when forced to cut the breeze at Redcliffe last start when fading in the closing stages. Back to a front tape over this trip, he can utilise his great manners and has claims.

SELECTIONS: MAYBETOTHEMAX (9), DAVEYS GIFT (1), IM THE COMMANDO (8), IVANOV (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MAYBETOTHEMAX (9) to win

RACE TEN

It might only be a six-horse FFA hidden at the end of the program, yet this is an intriguing clash where any of the six could win with the right trip. Leaning to WATCH PULP FICTION (2) with the option that he can angle to the pegs if the 1 looks to hold. Freshened since his last appearance when 2nd to GLENFERRIE HOOD back on Oct 12, he can take the prize

GLENFERRIE HOOD (5) might have a last next to his name from his most recent start, yet he was just 5m from the winner in a blanket finish. Locked away which isn’t his preferred position from the inside 2nd line gate, he can stride forward and will be throwing down the heat in this.

FAME ASSURED (3) rolled the sleeves for the fight last week and was game in finishing within 3m of the winner. Closing strongly the start prior, she can get the right trail to challenge late.

SELECTIONS: WATCH PULP FICTION (2), GLENFERRIE HOOD (5), FAME ASSURED (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
