RACE TWO

IAM THE JOKER (4) is another to sport the Ryan Veivers silks for the 1st time and arrives with 1 placing from 10 career starts. Last seen at Tamworth when gunned down to finish mid-field after leading them up over the 1980. Back to the sprint trip is in his favour and he stays under notice.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (2) stuck to the inside at AP on Thurs and was best of the chasers to hold the bronze behind a tear-way pair in PRETTYINTHEOUTBACK and CHEESANDKISSES. 2nd at Marburg 2 starts back from the pocket trail, she will be around the money again here.

CHANG (10) has no favours from the 2nd line but has the most ring-craft of his combatants here. Locked away and looking for space last start at Marburg, there is not much between a lot of these and he can close strongly.

CHUMP CHOP (8) eased to the pegs here in a non-TAB event last start and worked home soundly for the bronze behind CALLMEDEMARO. With the right early trail he can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: IAM THE JOKER (4), DANCING IN MANOLOS (2), CHANG (10), CHUMP CHOP (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IAM THE JOKER (4) to win

RACE THREE

CHANTREY (10) has gate 10 to negotiate but he is the class runner. He did too much work last start and the effort told when fading out in a strong metro event and the start prior did the heavy lifting in the breeze behind DREAM TO SHARE. He looks to get every conceivable chance in this.

ALE ALE KAI (7) will need a rub of the green from this gate as she looks in danger of being locked away. Easing back from gate 5 last start, she was strong to the line when only 7m from the winner MUCH BETTOR and with the right gaps presenting in time, she can be charging home late.

CONDAFEW (6) backs-up from Friday night where he looked a chance to be in the money. He lands the same tough gate once again, but was a nice 2nd at Tamworth 2 starts back and is in the mix here.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (2) was trying to work home from a long way back last start and was able to finish mid-field. A winner here 4 starts back when finishing over the top, this is tougher but he can fire the 1st shot from the gate.

SELECTIONS: CHANTREY (10), ALE ALE KAI (7), CONDAFEW (6), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Trifecta 10 / 2-6-7 / 2-3-6-7

RACE FOUR

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2)
will strip fitter from her latest start when returning from a spell to start her 3YO term. Well beaten 1st up after fading late, she was racing well during her 2YO season and should appreciate the conditions here. From the gate she can settle in a prominent position and gets a chance.

SWEET SCOOT (4) has been runner-up at 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest when charging home along the passing lane from well back to be within 4m of the winner MOLLIGUANNA in a non-TAB contest. Tough in the breeze when only beaten a head 3 starts back, she can be asking the questions here.

MOLLIGUANNA (5) comes into this as a last start winner after finishing best to claim victory in a non-TAB event here on Cup Day. Not suited the start prior t Marburg, this is no harder than her last victory.

PATCHWORK JET (3) has a lone placing in 25 career starts next to his name, yet he hasn’t been too bad of late. Only 7m from IMA BEACH BABE last start can see him chime in here.

SELECTIONS: HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2), SWEET SCOOT (4), MOLLIGUANNA (5), PATCHWORK JET (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HURRIKANE SPECIAL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

READILY (6) is afforded no favours from this alley but if able to find position cheaply, he might just be going well enough to take the prize in an open contest. Locked on the pegs last start at Marburg, he was attacking the line strongly to be within 1.5m of the winner and backing up from Fri, can sneak away with this.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (8) is another backing up from Fri where he looked to have podium claims. 2 starts back at Marburg he was probing for gaps after being locked away on the poles and was closing out nicely to be within 5m of the winner. With the right early trail, he can challenge here.

KAY NORA SHANNON (7) will need a slice of luck from this alley but if the gaps happen to open, she can be attacking strongly in the stretch. A winner here 2 starts back, she just needs to see space to feature.

BETTING BARON (2) hasn’t used his early speed for some time, but finds the right conditions here to fire the 1st shot and settle up on the speed. Closing strongly last start for 3rd to MO JARNEY, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: READILY (6), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (8), KAY NORA SHANNON (7), BETTING BARON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-6-7-8

RACE SIX

DUSTY PLAINS (8) has the tough gate to negotiate here but should appreciate this class off opponent after meeting stronger types of late. She did her share of work last start at Tamworth when holding on to 4th and the start prior chased hard for silver at the same track. With even luck she can arrive.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) had an early look for the front but never looked set to cross before easing to secure the 1x1 here last time out. Chasing hard to grab 3rd behind LAZY BLAZE, it was a sound effort and while the gate is a stinger, he is racing up to the required standard to challenge here.

LIVING FREE (6) will need to be working at some point, but he can do some work in his races. Chasing hard to hold 3rd at Marburg last start when only 4m away, he can be in the mix here.

IMA REGAL JET (7) backs up from Fri night where he landed the ace and looked set to capitalise on the options presented. Placed 2 starts back from gate 6 at Tamworth, he can be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: DUSTY PLAINS (8), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5), LIVING FREE (6), IMA REGAL JET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DUSTY PLAINS (8) to win
