RACE TWO

COURAGEOUS SAINT (3) has worked his way back into form after plateauing for a few outings and will go in search of a hat-trick of victories here. Snagged back from gate 7 here 2 starts back at the mile, he had too much closing power to take a 4m win. Again, finishing best here on Tuesday over the 2138m, he can land the threepeat.

CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (6) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line over the mile 2 starts back when using the passing lane to get within a head of the winner IDEAL WORLD. Luckless here last week from the 2nd line when searching for open space and only beaten 6m, he can challenge in this.

POWER SURGE (2) was buried from gate 1 here last week at the 2138m. Not sighting a gap until the leader KINGOFTHESTARS was off and gone, she closed soundly to grab 4th. She can be thereabouts.

SMITHSTARS LEXUS (7) was locked away on the pegs 2 starts back when SMART AS CAMM BE made the race a last panel blitz. Working home strongly to score wide out here 3 starts back, he can feature despite the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS SAINT (3), CARDLESFROMHEAVEN (6), POWER SURGE (2), SMITHSTARS LEXUS (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

TACTICAL RESPONSE (5) was wide off the track last start and attacking the line strongly when grabbing the silver behind the firing KINGOFTHESTARS. Closing hard in some slick splits here 3 runs back when 3rd to SMART AS CAMM BE, he can find position to overpower them in the stretch.

CAUTIVAR (9) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last time out when probing for gaps and finishing 3m in arrears of the winner NURBURGRING to grab 3rd. Finishing strongly from back in the pack the start prior, he can settle close to the action here to make a closing challenge.

ITZ MY GENERATION (2) was looking for a threepeat here 2 runs back when doing some work in pressing forward to get outside the leader. Settling for 2nd to COURAGEOUS SAINT, he has claims.

GODDESS JUJON (1) made the most of a soft trip in mares company here 2 runs back when using the passing lane to arrive for the prize. Gate 12 was her undoing last start, and she can bounce back.

SELECTIONS: TACTICAL RESPONSE (5), CAUTIVAR (9), ITZ MY GENERATION (2), GODDESS JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TACTICAL RESPONSE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Round Two of the DJA heats will see them drop back to the 2138m after tackling the 2647m in round one. MAJESTIC SIMON (9) was looking to complete a threepeat of victories in the heats last week. Settling in the 1x1 trail as OUR OVERANOVA was able to dictate in front, he was making a late play to be 5m in arrears. He can capitalise in this line-up.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (8) was soon sent forward in his heat run last week and was soon in front and running even panels. Trying to stave off the challengers, he had to settle with 4th placing when 4m in arrears of the winner BD KHAOSAN.

AVEROSS DON (1) did not have much go his way last start when trying to find position, forced to retreat to gain a spot. Gunned down in front the start prior over the 2647m, he can give some cheek.

JEDDY R YA READY (4) was safely into stride last time out before eventually finding himself locked away. Not that far from the winner GEE UP NEDDY, he can be close enough to feature again here.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (9), NORTHERN MUSCLE (8), AVEROSS DON (1), JEDDY R YA READY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (9) to win

RACE FIVE

This is a cracking three-year-old event with Chantal Turpin holding a strong four-pronged attack. That charge will be headed by BLACKSADANCE (1) that will be 1st up from a spell here, last seen back in July when huge in defeat behind GOVERNOR JUJON in the South East Derby. Warming up with two slick trials, he has the gate to capitalise.

BOMBADIER JUJON (11) was game in defeat last start when doing the work in the run outside the leader over this trip. Griding it out as the fav, he was only 2m in arrears of the winner IT AINT THE MONEY. Charging home for 2nd to ONE CHANGE the start prior, he has race fitness to aid his challenge.

WILL THE WIZARD (6) will come into this 1st up and without a preparatory trial. Setting the speed here last start, he was gunned down when 7m from ONE CHANGE. A tough winner over this trip 2 starts back, he will benefit from the run.

MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8) tackled the boys in the South East Derby last start and was 5m from the winner. Sent for a break, she opened the pipes with a tidy trial behind BLACKSADANCE and will have the perfect trip from inside the 2nd line.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (1), BOMBADIER JUJON (11), WILL THE WIZARD (6), MISS RUBY SUNSHINE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (1) to win

RACE SIX

WICKED AZZ (8)
was obliged to roll the sleeves to race tough last start when fading in the latter stages as DAPPER BESSIE controlled the 2040m from the front. Down the line behind the free-wheeling THE FORTUNATE SON the start prior, she can get a cosy trip here to land the snipers shot.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (6) had placed in 5 successive mares qualifiers as they prove to be an elusive victory. Dropped back to a Redcliffe mares event last start, her class was enough to defeat the map when sent forward to the breeze and prevailing in a 4m victory. The wide gate stings but she can challenge.

SUN SAFE (3) hit the line strongly when 1st up in Qld off the back of a break and franked that effort with victory from the front when 2nd up. Fading after a tough run last start, back to mares only is a plus.

CORSINI (10) was 3rd up from a break here last week when tackling a 2nd division qualifier. Setting up outside the leader she proved too strong in lasting for a narrow victory in a PB rate. Against her own sex suits.

SELECTIONS: WICKED AZZ (8), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (6), SUN SAFE (3), CORSINI (10)
SUGGESTED BET: WICKED AZZ (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

SIR JULIAN (4) was beaten by gate 7 last start when forced to retreat to find position and the tempo then made it tough for those chasing. Not that far from JOHNNY WHITE the start prior when repelled for the lamp lighting duties, he can look to find a forward spot from this alley to recapture winning form.

WINKANDITSOVER (1) worked hard in the run last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip after having an early look from a wide gate. Fighting hard to hold on for the bronze, it followed a mid-field effort behind ITZ MY GENERATION. With the options from the gate, he can throw down a strong challenge.

SMOKEY QUARTZ (6) heads North for KerryAnn Morris and arrives with some sound NSW form that includes a strong 2nd at Newcastle 2 starts back. With 2 wins from 3 attempts here at The Creek on a previous campaign, he stays under notice in this grade.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3) found the front from gate 4 in similar company last week over the 2138m. With the tempo on throughout, he could not see it out as MAYWYNS BEST swept home to score. From the gate he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SIR JULIAN (4), WINKANDITSOVER (1), SMOKEY QUARTZ (6), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR JULIAN (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

LEFT A TERROR (9) was sent for a freshen and has now been to the track 3 times since the let-up. Tackling a strong race here on Tues, he was stuck wide when forced to retreat to the rear. Attacking the line strongly as the smart LARRY LINCOLN arrived, he has been winless for a while but looks to have found conditions to suit here.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) did his share of early work over the 2138m last time out before fading late as KINGOFTHESTARS dictated in front. Runner-up at his previous 2 outings including a 2m margin when starting fav as LA PLAYER led throughout. It is a sticky alley, but he can ask some questions late.

TACT BESS (2) spent some petrol in the early stages and then had nothing left for the closing raid when tailing out in mares company last week. Sent straight to the pegs the start prior and chasing home for the bronze, she can look for the soft trip here to give her bullets to fire in the stretch.

JOANNIES GIRL (8) showed some early speed last time before opting for running line cover. 6m in arrears of the winner IT AINT THE MONEY, she can get an easy trip here and will be probing for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: LEFT A TERROR (9), MONTANA CHIEF (5), TACT BESS (2), JOANNIES GIRL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LEFT A TERROR (9) to win

RACE NINE

COLT THIRTY ONE (7) has built an impressive picket fence since returning this campaign with the latest victory stretching the sequence to 4 on the bounce. Sent to the breeze from this gate last start over the 2138m, he had bullets to fire in claiming a dominant 6m victory. Likely to work hard again, he has their measure.

FAME ASSURED (9) has been running some mighty races without landing a blow in her 4 runs back from a break. The most recent saw her charging home with her individual splits breaking 55 and 27 for the last 800/400 combo. 8m from COLT THIRTY ONE last time, she can swoop late again here.

LILAC FLASH (4) is another that is running some top races, but it is not enough to transfer into a victory. Beaten basically the same margin his past 3 starts, he will turn up again and be strong late.

SECRETAGENT TYCOON (5) held the 1x1 trail last start as TURN IT UP took control and blasted home to score. Setting the speed over the 2138m here 2 starts back when 4m away, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (7), FAME ASSURED (9), LILAC FLASH (4), SECRETAGENT TYCOON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 7 / 9 / 4-5-8

RACE TEN

IM THE COMMANDO (1) was safely away last week and was soon in front. Releasing to take the trail as OUR OVERANOVA took up the running, he held on for the silver when 5m in arrears. Doing his best work when out in front, he will likely be looking to dictate over the middle distance and can fight them off.

GEE UP NEDDY (7) was safely away in his heat run last week and soon was around them to take up the running. Controlling the tempo, he was able to get home in a sharp 57.3 closing 800m from the front. Finding form at the right time, the start will be vital here as to where he can position early.

MONARO MIA (8) was 2nd up back in Qld and following his joining the Terry Hancock barn when dead-heating in 4th position last week. Hitting the line in nice order, it was a tidy effort, and he will be sharper here.

BD KHAOSAN (2) was 1st up in Qld off the back of a spell in the heats when proving too strong from the breeze and holding on to claim a half-neck victory. Stripping fitter for the run, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (1), GEE UP NEDDY (7), MONARO MIA (8), BD KHAOSAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: IM THE COMMANDO (1) to win

RACE ELEVEN

The sixth and concluding heat also looks the strongest of the Round Two heats where WEE MAN TROUBLE (7) can look to go one better than his 2nd placing in Round One. Obliged to roll the sleeves to do the work over the long trip, he was game in defeat when only a head from the winner. Runner-up his past 3 in succession, he can arrive here.

OUR OVERANOVA (9) was quickly into his gait from the 30m tape last week and with just a field of 7 to contend with was able to press forward and in front after 600m. Never in danger once allowed to dictate it was an easy victory and he can be working home late to throw down a challenge.

GREG THE GREAT (8) made an early error last start as the race fav and then could not really work into the contest. Trialling some gear changes on Tuesday, he looked sharper and will need to maximise his points to progress to the Final.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (4) was safely away last week and from 3 back against the poles was making a late charge to be within 1.5m of the winner BD KHAOSAN. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WEE MAN TROUBLE (7), OUR OVERANOVA (9), GREG THE GREAT (8), SIR FAHRENHEIT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-7-8-9
