RACE TWO

TASCOTT LADY (3) had put together a string of 4 consecutive placed runs before taking on her latest contest from the 2nd line. Racing tough she was in for the fight when cutting the breeze and getting within 1.5m of the winner. She can look to take advantage here.

STRANGE CONDUCT (1) looked to take them all the way at Armidale on Thurs and led into the stretch before fading in the closing stages. A winner here back on Sept 9 when proving too tough from the breeze, he will be fighting hard and trying to hold on.

ROYAL TAZ (8) is struggling to recapture his best. Last start he looked to have found his chance over the 2040m trip at Redcliffe and setting a steady tempo he couldn’t see it out. Place claims best here.

EULO FLYER (4) closed out strongly here 3 starts back over the 1850m trip after starting from the 2nd line to finish 2m from STRANGE CONDUCT. He will appreciate this class and can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TASCOTT LADY (3), STRANGE CONDUCT (1), ROYAL TAZ (8), EULO FLYER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TASCOTT LADY (3) to win

RACE THREE

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3) returns from a spell and lands the gate to look to use his early speed. Last start he took on a much stronger contest when fading late behind SPRING CAMPAIGN. Approaching 12 months since his latest win he can look for the pegs and dictate terms from the front.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7) rolled forward to the breeze last start and after the tough run dug in for the fight through a strong closing 800m. She looked to take them all the way 2 starts back when grabbed late and finishing 5m from the winner. With even luck in transit she can issue a challenge.

EXPRESS PASS (4) isn’t having much luck in landing a marble and starts wide after a string of wide gates. He couldn’t go last time when the pace went on over the 2200m. Back to the 1850m helps.
HUNTER RED (6) will need plenty of luck from this gate as he looks set to be buried in the run. Finding the line nice 3 starts back, he hit the line strongly at Redcliffe on Thurs to score. Just needs a run of the green.

SELECTIONS: SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7), EXPRESS PASS (4), HUNTER RED (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MEANT TO BE ME (9)
resumes from a spell to start her 4YO term. Last seen in Aug when working hard in the run from gate 5 here, she held on for the bronze. Finding the line nicely at AP 4 starts back when 3rd to MICKEE CULLEN, if forward enough in condition she can claim the win.

OSCARS GLORY (3) was in the breeze at Redcliffe on Thurs and was in for the fight when forcing his way to the front but run-down in the closing stages by HUNTER RED. That followed a string of 2nd line gates and rolling forward here is right in the fight.

FLASHING GOOD TIME (7) started from gate 10 at Redcliffe last start and was finding the line in good order to be 4m from the winner. Approaching 12 months without a victory, she has rough claims.

MANWITHTHEESKI (4) sat behind the leader here 2 starts back and was able to hold on for the bronze behind SOLDIER OF FORTUNE. Limiting the early burn he has claims.

SELECTIONS: MEANT TO BE ME (9), OSCARS GLORY (3), FLASHING GOOD TIME (7), MANWITHTHEESKI (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MEANT TO BE ME (9) to win

RACE FIVE

STONED AGAIN (8) stepped straight to the front over the mile at AP 2 starts back and was only collared in the closing stages by IVANOV. Last start over this trip he loomed up to claim the prize before striking trouble that perhaps cost him victory when beaten a head. This looks ideal.

REDRIVERDEBBA (7) worked hard in the run last start from the mobile at Redcliffe when facing the breeze and holding on for an 8m 2nd to DAENERYS STORMBORN. Forget her previous start when striking trouble, he run 3 back was strong when 4m from SHADIE SADIE. She is right in this.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (9) took a break after making a mess of the start here 3 starts back. Returning after 2 smart trials he was too strong from the breeze here over the 2200m. Early tactics from the 30m runners will be vital in this race.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (2) is safe from the tapes and landing on the 10m line can look to take full advantage. Run down when leading them up at her past 2, she will be in the thick of the action.

SELECTIONS: STONED AGAIN (8), REDRIVERDEBBA (7), NORTHERN MUSCLE (9), HIGH CLOUD LASS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: STONED AGAIN (8) to win

RACE SIX

RUATO BAY (7)
returns from a break after last taking on a 2040m trip at Redcliffe. From the pocket trail he fought hard to the line when finishing 7m from POMPIDOU. That followed a tough run in the breeze in a 2nd division qualifier where the effort was full of merit. There should be some good tempo which helps his chances.

MAJOR STRIKE (3) was luckless in the run here 2 starts back when forced to snag back to find positon and then never saw open space when needed. Too far back last start from gate 6 if he can find position in the early stages he is right in the fight.

MISTERRIODEJANNEIRO (1) sped out early before opting for a trial and from the pocket spot was only 6m from the winner VALTONA. He lands the gate to land in a prominent position and can go close.

HOODED ANGEL (8) will be 1st up from a break and making his Qld debut. His past 3 starts have been in the claiming ranks in Sydney. He faces a tricky gate but is right in this if anywhere near his best.

SELECTIONS: RUATO BAY (7), MAJOR STRIKE (3), MISTERRIODEJANNEIRO (1), HOODED ANGEL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: RUATO BAY (7) each-way

RACE SEVEN

IFYOUBELEIVE (8) steps out at Marburg for the 1st time and strikes a winnable race. Looking to lead throughout at AP 3 starts back he led until the closing stages when grabbed by the smart MUCH BETTOR. From the pocket trail on Thurs he couldn’t go with them late. With even luck he can salute.

ARCH EMPRESS (9) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when doing some early work before pressing on to find the front and take control. This will also be her 1st look at the track and from the gate will be looking to get a cart into the contest and take a closing shot.

DONOMOOR (7) cashed-in last start when controlling the race from the breeze and proving too strong. With a front line lacking depth, he can be on the move early and has podium claims.

TAFFY BOY (4) worked home in good order at Redcliffe on Thurs behind ARK TEAMO to claim the bronze. Best of the rest behind DONOMOOR 3 starts back he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: IFYOUBELEIVE (8), ARCH EMPRESS (9), DONOMOOR (7), TAFFY BOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IFYOUBELEIVE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

REDDY FIRE (1)
was a Redcliffe winner 6 starts back when starting from the 2nd line and finishing best wide off the track to claim a 2m victory. He hasn’t landed a marble in the 5 runs since and been too far back or needed to work too hard. From the ace he can be stoked up early and dictating terms can last.

ANNAS BEST (2) worked home from the 2nd line in good order at Redcliffe 2 starts back behind KAANAPALI. On Thurs she had a brief look for the front and after settling in the running line held 4th when the leader and winner kicked clear. Settling close to the speed she has claims.

INVITE ONLY (7) is on the short back-up from Friday where she was facing a much stronger line-up than this. Her run 2 starts back was solid when working wide off the track and not beaten far. With the right run through she is in the mix.

ARTS PEREGRINE (4) started from gate 5 here 2 starts back and was working home strongly wide off the track to claim the bronze behind IM TOOT. That followed a Redcliffe victory and despite the tough gate can feature.

SELECTIONS: REDDY FIRE (1), ANNAS BEST (2), INVITE ONLY (7), ARTS PEREGRINE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: REDDY FIRE (1) to win

RACE NINE

ARGYLE BEACH (6)
has progressed nicely through her grades since taking on the Goldstrike stand here back in April. After putting together a hat-trick of victories from wide gates, she went under a nose at her most recent outing when finishing hard over the 2138m trip. A winner of 2 of 3 appearances here at Marburg, she can add another.

MR MEDDLE (1) looked to take them all the way last start after stepping cleanly from the front line tape over the 2200m. Digging in for the fight he went within a half-neck of victory. A two-time winner from the tapes he can look to take control.

GANGSTER BOY (10) held the front last start over the mile and was in for the fight when claiming the bronze and finishing 4m in arrears of the winner WITHALOTOFLUCK. Stripping fitter from that run, the longer trip will suit and he will be throwing down the challenge.

SIR JULIAN (8) pressed ahead to the breeze after starting from the 10m line here 2 starts back and was strong to the line to take the win. Buried in the run in a qualifier last start he closed hard to grab the bronze and he will be right in the fight here.

SELECTIONS: ARGYLE BEACH (6), MR MEDDLE (1), GANGSTER BOY (10), SIR JULIAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ARGYLE BEACH (6) to win
