RACE TWO

DAENERYS STORMBORN (3) loves the triangle and with good manners from the tapes can look to take control. Last start over the mobile 2040m trip she was never in danger in scoring a comfortable win. A winner at AP 3 starts back when pressing to the front from a 40m tape she can claim this.

IVANOV (6) is a brilliant beginner from the tapes and from the 10m is still quick enough to be in the firing line early. Last start in an open discretionary he released the front and held on for 3rd behind MR GUNSEN. A winner 2 starts back over the 1628m stand and yet to miss a cheque at Redcliffe he is in the mix.

SPIRIT WALKER (3) was building towards a win after 3 successive placings all from the tapes. Last start from a 30m impost she rolled forward early and then found cover when too good. She wont be far away again.

ROSTEVARREN (5)
has been freshened since last stepping out in an open and doing some work in the run. Only 9m from the winner 2 starts back if he handles the track better at his 2nd try he can place.

SELECTIONS: DAENERYS STORMBORN (3), IVANOV (6), SPIRIT WALKER (3), ROSTEVARREN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DAENERYS STORMBORN (3) to win

RACE THREE

ROYAL LINCOLN (1) will benefit from his 2 starts through a Gold Pot series at his 1st 2 Aus appearances. In the heat he started in red figures from the 2nd line and was doing his best work in the closing stages. Too far back again from the 2nd line in the final, he can make the most of the improved gate.

FORTES IN FIDES (2) was facing the breeze over this trip last start and was in for the fight when finishing within 4m of the winner FEEL THE REIGN. That followed a tough run from the 2nd line and despite looking set to do the heavy lifting again will be duking it out all the way.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) makes his Qld debut and steps out for his 1st starts in the 3YO term. He wasn’t far away from some handy performers in his 1st 3 starts at 2YO and can ask some questions here.

DATITUDE (8) made a mess of things last start and ended up back on the pegs and chasing. He was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to be 4m from the winner. He will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL LINCOLN (1), FORTES IN FIDES (2), MONTANA CHIEF (5), DATITUDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL LINCOLN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MACHIN OUT (4)
meets his easiest assignment for a long time and will tackle the triangle for just the 2nd time in his career. The 1st came last start when taken back from this same gate with plenty of speed underneath and then the leader TOM ME GUN controlled. Only beaten a head 2 starts back behind EL MAJOR, this looks ripe for the picking.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7) found the front from gate 2 last start and looked to take them all the way and was only grabbed in the closing stages by VALTONA to be beaten a half-beck. Not suited when snagged back from gate 6 over the 2040m 2 starts he has early options and is in the mix.

PROJECTILE (3) has not had much luck his past 2 starts from tough barriers. 2nd to BIG IN AMERICA 3 starts back his past 2 from gates 6 and 9 have seen hi struggle to get into the contest. The improved gate is a bug plus.

MO JARNEY (2) held the front from gate 1 here 2 starts back and led them for home when grabbed in the stretch and holding on for 3rd. He can look to be 1st to the pegs and will fight hard.

SELECTIONS: MACHIN OUT (4), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (7), PROJECTILE (3), MO JARNEY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MACHIN OUT (4) to win

RACE FIVE

EVERYTHING (5) took on a qualifier here on sat night and was sent to the breeze early from the 2nd line and was fighting hard when beaten 4m behind HOT DOGMA. That followed a strong 3rd by the flying LILAC FLASH and he looks to get his chance to cash-in for his 1st Qld victory.

OCEANS PREDATOR (1) will strip fitter from his latest outing when 1st up in 6 weeks. Copping some early interference he was able to reset without too much issue and held on when 3rd behind ALPHA STYX. With the options from the gate he can be in the right position to ask the questions.

MY MOJO (2) will take further benefit from his latest run when 2nd up from a break. Placed at both return runs he has the speed to have a solid early look and finding early position can feature.

MACHEASY (8) will be tightened from his run on Sat night when 2nd up from a break in a 2nd division qualifier. Working hard in the run he fought gamely when 2m from the winner. He won’t be far away here.

SELECTIONS: EVERYTHING (5), OCEANS PREDATOR (1), MY MOJO (2), MACHEASY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: EVERYTHING (5) to win

RACE SIX

CC JONES (10)
started in red figures last week from gate 1 and looked to have found a winnable race. Throwing his chances away with a wild break when the gates were released, he looked to have lost all chance. Chasing hard he was making good closing ground and in a real eye-catcher was able to grab the bronze. With better manners this week he can look to bounce back.

JUST ROKIN (1) had been winless since May of 2017 until proving too strong from the breeze here 2 starts back. Keeping the momentum rolling, she was 1st to the pegs here last start and from the front controlled the tempo to score an easy win. From the gate she will be right in the fight.

TASSINI (9) shoots for the hat-trick after stylish wins at 2138m and then 2040m. Here on Fri night she was driven quietly before coming with a well-timed run to arrive and can go close again.

BLUE EYED CREATION (7) Was snagged back from gate 6 last start and then with the leaders caving as they turned for home, he sprinted strongly to score. With the cosy trip he can be looking for gaps.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (10), JUST ROKIN (1), TASSINI (9), BLUE EYED CREATION (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CC JONES (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

In a very strong and open contest to close out the day, Im marking OUR MAJOR DAY (5) on top off the strength of his last start Armidale success. Pressing on to find the pegs he skipped clear for a big win and posted a 33m winning margin. Only beaten a half-head the start prior when doing a mountain of work in the run, he is worth a chance in what was an open field.

PACIFIC DRUMS (4) has placed in 5 of his past 6 outings and will take on the triangle for the 1st time. Looking to take them all the way last start, he led until the closing stages and was grabbed by MAYWYNS COURAGE. From the gate he can look to fire out and find the pegs and will be gripping on.

ADRIFT (10) went to the front from gate 3 last start and once in control was never in danger to score a 10m victory. 3rd at AP 3 starts back when needing a gap sooner than it arrived, he can press his claims in this.

DAPPER (1) can look to make the most of things with the good gate and can look to secure the perfect run in transit. Beaten a head behind SPRING CAMPAIGN 5 starts back, the gate is a huge plus.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (5), PACIFIC DRUMS (4), ADRIFT (1), DAPPER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (5) to win
