RACE TWO

TODAYS HERO (5) returned a tidy effort in a Gold Pot heat 2 starts back after doing his share of early work from gate 6 and squeezing into the final by finishing 4th.  From the same gate in the Final, he was sent forward to find position and was strong to the line when 3rd to CHERRYS THE BEST. Despite the gate, he can capitalise in this.

ALOT OF COST (8) will be 1st up from a break, with nearly all of the Donny Smith barn freshened while the Redcliffe renovation has been undertaken. He found the line nicely last start from back in the pack over the sprint trip when chasing a hat-trick of victories. He can be right in the mix here.

ROWDYS ACE (1) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start and found it just a shade out of reach when fading out in the run. With the peg-line benefits in transit, he can return a sharper effort here.

GUTS (7) will be needing a slice of luck from this alley as he looks set to be buried away in the run. 10m from the winner OUR BUSCEMI last start in a 2nd division qualifier, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (5), ALOT OF COST (8), ROWDYS ACE (1), GUTS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TODAYS HERO (5) to win

RACE THREE

Another Donny Smith runner fresh up, CELTIC CRUZA (8) loves the Redcliffe track and finds the right type of contest to extend on his 10 wins recorded here at the triangle. Strong in the breeze 2 starts back behind HEZ RAZOR SHARP, he finds a winnable contest here despite the sticky gate.

CIRCLE LINE (4) wasn’t suited last start from gate 7 over the AP mile when snagging back early to find position. The start prior from the four-hole, he utilised his early speed to find the pegs prior to releasing and holding on for 3rd to MONTANA CHIEF. Using those early moves here, can see him challenge.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (5) found gate 7 too tough last start over the AP mile when snagging back early. His run the start prior was full of merit in the breeze from the 2nd line and he can feature in this.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (3) was locked away after being shuffled away from inside the 2nd line last time out. Off the 2nd line at his past 5 appearances, he can look to make the most of the front line.

SELECTIONS: CELTIC CRUZA (8), CIRCLE LINE (4), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (5), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CELTIC CRUZA (8) to win

RACE FOUR

THATS FUNNY (3)
is still searching for an elusive maiden breaking win and might just have found the right contest to capitalise on here. Not suited when forced to roll the sleeves in the breeze over the 2138m last start, she was only beaten a head 2 starts back in a blanket finish. Conditions look right.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) has been the bridesmaid at his past 2 outings, the latest a tough effort outside the leader. In for the fight he was still punching it out when nabbed by a swooping NON PASSARE and only 1m in arrears. From the good alley and back to the triangle can see him go close.

WHATELEY (1) returns from a long spell to the licensed meetings, however did compete through the EKKA. A passing lane winner to break his maiden here 2 starts back, he can enjoy the right trip 1st up.

VOODOO FELLA (9) is another making a return from a break as he kicks-off his 3YO term. A last start 2YO winner when leading throughout over this trip, with the right run in transit he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THATS FUNNY (3), WILD ABOUT TOWN (2), WHATELEY (1), VOODOO FELLA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS FUNNY (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Despite being a maiden here on the triangle and a tough gate to overcome, LETHAL STAR (5) can look to end a long winless streak in this against her own sex. Her run last start was full of merit when wide and caught in the breeze and only beaten 3m. Finding position cheaply, this is within reach.

KOTARE KASAI (1) has some ordinary numbers next to her name but should appreciate the peg-line benefits from the ace gate. After taking on Sat night company in a mares qualifiers, her run last start against this grade was a tidy effort when only 8m in arrears and she can be sharper again here.

TRACES OF TARA (4) will take great benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up from a break and for the new stable when leading throughout to a nice win. With the right run she can go again.

MERRYWOOD PEARL (7) was well supported in the market last start from inside the 2nd line. Shuffled back in the run it was a tidy effort at her 1st run in Qld and taking benefit is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LETHAL STAR (5), KOTARE KASAI (1), TRACES OF TARA (4), MERRYWOOD PEARL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LETHAL STAR (5) to win

RACE SIX

DATSGOOD (2) chased home gamely for the bronze 2 starts back behind the talented BILLY LINCOLN in a sharp mile. That followed a down the line run against some smart performers in a Gold Pot heat. Forget her last start when stuck in traffic, if she can bring her manners than she looks hard to stop.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4) backs up from Marburg on Sunday where she was sent forward from a wide gate and forced to roll the sleeves. In a slick mile she only faded in the latter stages with that following a fair effort behind LIGHTHORSE. Limiting the early burn, she can be around the mark.

LADY ELL AYE (8) will strip fitter after her return to the track from a spell last start which than saw her banished to the trials. Earning her return ticket, with the right trail she can chime in here.

BERTILS DELIGHT (7) returns from a break and will appreciate a cosy trip against the poles for the 1st up assignment. Not suited at her past 3 from tough gates, she can be probing the gaps to place here.

SELECTIONS: DATSGOOD (2), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4), LADY ELL AYE (8), BERTILS DELIGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DATSGOOD (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

FUI FUI (5) has the wide gate to negotiate here but he might just have enough of a class edge to sneak away with the prize. Settling in the running line from the 2nd row last time out at Marburg, he found the line in good order to be 9m from the winner LIGHTHORSE. This looks to be within reach.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8) was buried against the poles last start after starting from inside the 2nd line and never had a full shot when 6m from the winner. Placed at his previous 2 starts including when game in the breeze behind THE CRUISE MISSILE, he profiles well in this contest.

WHATA STRIDE (3) started from gate 1 at AP last start after being crossed and soon finding herself 3 back. Chasing home for the bronze in a tidy effort, she can look fire the 1st shot here and has claims.

IDIOTS DREAM (1) was shuffled well back from this same gate over the AP sprint trip last start and then couldn’t get into the contest. He can settle closer this time and look to chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: FUI FUI (5), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (8), WHATA STRIDE (3), IDIOTS DREAM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-8

RACE EIGHT

FULL OF HER SELF (6) will take good benefit from her 1st up run when finishing best to arrive over the 2138m and break her maiden tag at start 15. This will be another step up but with the winning confidence and the added fitness she might just be able to make it back-to-back wins.

HAVANA MAGIC (5) makes her 1st appearance since joining the Bad Connelly barn. 1st up since June, she has not been seen at the public trials in preparation so how forward her condition is a query. Best of the rest behind a tearaway GREG THE GREAT 2 starts back, she stays under notice.

MYRTLE BEACH (3) should find this grade of contest easier than her last start where she returned a meritorious effort behind IMAHE MAN. Stepping cleanly to get forward, she is in the mix.

DAENERYS STORMBORN (8) is the class trotter of this line-up but will face a task off the 40m back-mark over the sprint trip. Her run was sound last start after an early error and she can feature here.

SELECTIONS: FULL OF HER SELF (6), HAVANA MAGIC (5), MYRTLE BEACH (3), DAENERYS STORMBORN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
