RACE TWO

SMART AS CAMM BE (7) showed her versatility here last start when holding them wide from gate 1 before exerting her dominance to cruise home for the easiest of 10m victories. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, the gate does her no favours at all, but in a race that looks to have plenty of early pepper, she can arrive for the prize.

SAM IS PERFECTION (8) was a passing lane winner here 2 starts back over this trip when sprinting sharply when the gap arrived to claim a 1.5m victory. Not much went his way last start when searching for gaps and if he has momentum when the lane presents, he can make a challenging shot.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (10) is another that will be off the pace and charging if the on-paper tempo spills onto the track. Attacking the line with gusto last start to be 3m from the winner, it followed a similar closing attack the start prior. He will be swooping.

CAUTIVAR (6) worked forward from gate 4 here last week to set up outside the leader HANDSOME HERO. IN for the fight when only beaten a head, he might need to do it the tough way again here.

SELECTIONS: SMART AS CAMM BE (7), SAM IS PERFECTION (8), TACTICAL RESPONSE (10), CAUTIVAR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SMART AS CAMM BE (7) to win

RACE THREE

TURN IT UP (7) may still be vulnerable from the wide gate for this 2nd up assignment, but his return after 15 months on the sidelines was extremely pleasing. After a pair of sharp trials in readiness for the return, he was attacking the line strongly when 1st up over the 2138m trip running some slick closing splits. His class can get him over the line.

MAYWYNS BEST (3) found the front last start from gate 5 and after a 2nd quarter breather looked to dial it up to have them chasing. Fading late, he was still within 3m of the winner COLT THIRTY ONE in a blanket finish. Over the 2138m the previous 2 starts, the return to the mile is ideal and he will give cheek.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (6) returned from a let-up here last week over the mile when retreating from this same gate. Running some sizzling closing panels off the track, it was a nice return. A similar run can see him feature.

WATCH PULP FICTION (1) was right there in the blanket go last start when finishing officially 5th yet within 3m of the winner. A cosy trip is on offer and he can be looking to snipe in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (7), MAYWYNS BEST (3), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (6), WATCH PULP FICTION (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (7) to win

RACE FOUR

JUMPING JOLT (10)
has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts, the past 2 in similar company when 3rd to LENNY THE LEGEND on each occasion. From inside the 2nd line last start he was soon into the running line and closing in good order when 4m in arrears. Finding early position, there looks the right tempo to see him charging late.

KINGOFTHESTARS (2) is on the prowl for a threepeat of victories here after successive wins over the 2138m and then the Redcliffe 2040m. Easily holding the front last start, he had them chasing for an easy victory. This is a step up, but with the benefit of settling handy from this gate, he can challenge.

LENNY THE LEGEND (7) was too far back in the pack here on Tuesday from the 2nd line when not much really made any ground off the leader. Looking to remain undefeated in these veterans events after successive wins from gate 6, he can be powering home here.

RNR WINDEMERE (1) will take further benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up in Qld off the back of a spell. Hitting the line nicely for the bronze in a qualifier, the inside gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (10), KINGOFTHESTARS (2), LENNY THE LEGEND (7), RNR WINDEMERE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (10) to win

RACE FIVE

SABRAGE (9)
will take good benefit from his latest offering when returning from a spell. Closing his last campaign with a late flashing 3rd, he looked sharp in a preparatory trial prior to his run last week. Angled to the pegs looking for short-cuts, it was a tidy return and he finds the right race here.

KEY LARGO (8) will need some luck in transit here and some factors to fall in his favour yet if that can materialise, he can be in the right position to challenge. Taking them all the way last start from gate 2 over the mile, it followed a gritty mid-field finish after doing plenty of work. He will be probing.

JOHNNY WHITE (7) has himself to blame for the wide gate after making an error 2 starts back that landed the ODM tag. His closing sectionals were slick last start from a long way back when only 3m away and he can be attacking late again.

HEZA BROMAC (2) secured cover over the 2138m last start from gate 3 after rolling forward early and then stuck on gamely when 6m from the in-form HANDSOME HERO. Positioning prominently here can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (9), KEY LARGO (8), JOHNNY WHITE (7), HEZA BROMAC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE (9) to win

RACE SIX

IMASPORTSSTAR (2)
claimed a qualifier here 4 starts back when sent straight to the front over the mile to score an easy 6m victory. Gate 7 was his undoing at his next appearance before bouncing back from gate 3 to lead them all the way. This is no harder than his last win and from the gate looks set to dictate.

HURRICANE ROY (3) was snagged back from gate 7 last start and from back in the pack was then facing an uphill challenge as SMART AS CAMM BE was dealing in front. Hitting the line nicely the start prior from gate 10, that had followed successive Redcliffe wins and he can be close enough to strike.

SPARKLING CULLECT (8) will have early options as the lone 2nd line runner and will be further tightened from his latest start when returning from a let-up. Hitting the line nicely in that event, he is in the mix.

SIR JULIAN (6) was obliged to do it the tough way last start when facing the breeze outside DOUBLEDELIGHTBRIGADE and grinding away to be 6m in arrears. The gate is a stinger, but he is never far from the action.

SELECTIONS: IMASPORTSSTAR (2), HURRICANE ROY (3), SPARKLING CULLECT (8), SIR JULIAN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IMASPORTSSTAR (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

TUAPEKA LIGHT (1) flashed early speed to get across from gate 4 here last week before taking the trail. Making a closing dive up the passing lane to be within a neck of the winner, she missed the money in busy finish. With the early options from the gate, she looks to get every chance this time.

FEEL LIKE DANCIN (3) was too strong in front over the 2040m at Redcliffe 3 starts back when taking a 3m victory. Tackling a mares qualifier at her next attempt, she was charging along the passing lane to grab the bronze. Franking that run, she arrived over the top of them here last week for a smart win and can throw it down again here.

SPECIAL RESERVE (2) has hit the board at her past 4 in succession including a passing lane win at Redcliffe 3 starts back. Locked away on the poles last start, she closed in nice order for 3rd to SMART AS CAMM BE and is in the mix again here.

WITH THE BAND (8) pressed on to take control here last start over the 2138m after landing gate 5. Fighting hard, she was collared late when beaten a half-neck and she will be right in the fight again.

SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (1), FEEL LIKE DANCIN (3), SPECIAL RESERVE (2), WITH THE BAND (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

MILLWOOD TILLY (9) hit the line strongly to claim a 2138m victory here 3 starts back and followed that with the silver from the pocket trail over subsequent winner FEEL LIKE DANCIN. Forced to do it the tough way last start from gate 5, she can press through to settle handy here before taking the final shot.

LOOKING FABULOUS (4) worked to the front over the Redcliffe 2040m 2 starts back at her Qld debut when sent out a red figure fav but was unable to stave off the challengers, finishing in 3rd. Setting the tempo over the mile last week on the 3-day back-up, she was nabbed in the closing strides. Limiting the early burn will be key.

DAPPER BESSIE (6) snagged back from this gate last start to settle back in the field before charging home to be 4m from the winner FEEL LIKE DANCIN. That followed successive Redcliffe victories and from the tough gate once again, she can be chiming in.

FOR THE CORZ (2) should be near a fitness peak after 3 runs since arriving in Qld off the back of a spell. Releasing the speed last start, she could not go on with it behind KIWIS ARE FLYING. Back to mares only company from this gate can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD TILLY (9), LOOKING FABULOUS (4), DAPPER BESSIE (6), FOR THE CORZ (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD TILLY (9) to win

RACE NINE

After being beaten at a short quote on debut DANCE IN THE SUN (2) atoned the best way possible when blitzing her rivals 2nd up. Taking a trail at her 1st appearance when beaten an eyelash, she then took luck out of it when taking them all the way with a strong closing 800m. Kept fresh since that win, she looks a smart filly.

ITZ MAJOR RICH (6) was sent around them early to get outside the leader on debut from the 2nd line to fight hard in defeat. Since that run he has been successful at his next 3 starts in succession, the latest when finishing over the top of them in good order. Given a trial since that win, he will throw down the challenge here.

HANOVER LECTER (1) has placed in all 4 career starts, finishing runner-up in all 3 this campaign. Angling in behind the leader here on Tues, she held 2nd when 2m away. The gate aids her chances.

MONTANA FLASH (5) will take good benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a spell. Pressing on to take control, he was never bothered in an easy Redcliffe victory. The gate hurts.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (2), ITZ MAJOR RICH (6), HANOVER LECTER (1), MONTANA FLASH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (2) to win

RACE TEN

MAJESTIC SIMON (4) was safely away last start and looked to be looming up from the 1x1 trail but when called on, there was nothing in the locker, finishing mid-field behind GEE UP NEDDY. Grabbed late after setting the speed in front the start prior, the return to the 2138m looks in his favour and he can bounce back.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (5) was safely away last start and then when looking to consolidate track position broke gait and with it his chances were out the window. Hitting the line nicely the start prior over the mobile 2138m and only beaten a pimple, it followed a half-neck 2nd over the 2647m stand. He can search for atonement.

IM THE COMMANDO (7) was sent to the pegs last start and from there he did not really get much of a crack at them thereafter. Hitting the board his previous 7 in succession, he can look to bounce back here.

GEE UP NEDDY (8) was too strong for them here last week when sent to the breeze from the 10m tape and out-lasting them to score a narrow victory. Probing for gaps from back in the pack the start prior and only 5m from the winner, he can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (4), SIR FAHRENHEIT (5), IM THE COMMANDO (7), GEE UP NEDDY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (4) to win
