RACE TWO

ELLE JAY (6) is after a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over the Marburg 1850m trip. Able to lead throughout in each of those wins, the latest saw her pull clear for a big 23m winning margin. The wide gate dents her chances, but in an open contest, her form and confidence might just be enough to complete the threepeat.

SHEZ GOT BLING (9) is still chasing what is proving an elusive Qld victory and lines up for her 16th attempt here at Redcliffe. Working home in good order last start to grab the bronze behind WILLSINTOWN, she was diving up the passing lane for 2nd here 2 starts back. Look for her late again.

OOZINVILLE (2) is a quick beginner but just does not like to cop any heat to his outside. Landing the gate to fire the early bullets, his chances rest on a controlled tempo and a lack of pressure.

FREMARKSINDI (7) will need a rub of the green from this gate as she looks in danger of being buried in the run. 3rd at her past 2, albeit big margins from the winner in each, she will be searching.

SELECTIONS: ELLE JAY (6), SHEZ GOT BLING (9), OOZINVILLE (2), FREMARKSINDI (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE JAY (6) to win

RACE THREE

ABERCROMBIE TAB (3) was asked to race tough last start when setting up outside the leader and grinding it out to be 7m from the winner HIGH ON MONTANA. Beaten by the outside gate the start prior at Marburg, he can look to get forward and from a prominent position gets his chance.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9) was 3-wide from a long way out last start which was his undoing as he tailed in the field. Working home soundly the start prior from this same gate to be 4m from the winner, he will be wide off the track at some point as he looks to throw down a legitimate challenge.

HESLUVABLE (5) has claimed the silver at his past 2 starts, the latest when using the passing lane in the Marburg to Albion Final behind IMA BEACH BABE. The wide gate is a stinger but look for him in the latter stages.

ASHLEE NITRO (6) landed gate 5 last start when retreating early to find position before finishing over the top of them and pulling clear to an 8m victory. A repeat effort can see her chime in.

SELECTIONS: ABERCROMBIE TAB (3), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9), HESLUVABLE (5), ASHLEE NITRO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ABERCROMBIE TAB (3) to win

RACE FOUR

ROCKNHOLME (6)
faces a steep rise from 1st start winner to tackling some experienced campaigners here. That said, his debut was all class after being given no favours and forced to retreat from gate 3 when unable to secure position. Charging home to a smart win, the added experience can see him look for the repeat.

RANCHO MAN (4) has been freshened since his last appearance when 8m from the winner MONTANA EXPRESS after setting the tempo. He might just have an early look here and has podium claims.

ARCHILLES (9) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up after over 12 months on the sidelines. Strong in defeat when returning, he faces a tough challenge from this gate to feature.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (5) was asked to do it the tough way here 2 starts back when sent to the post as fav. Fighting on behind subsequent winner IL MAXIMUS, the gate does him no favours, but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNHOLME (6), RANCHO MAN (4), ARCHILLES (9), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MONTANA LAD (3) should appreciate the return to the triangle after finding them a bit out of reach at his past 2 starts. Not aided by gate 7 over the AP 2138m last start, he was too far back and never worked into the contest. 3m from JUSTA DALE here 3 starts back, he can take his chances in this.

WANJIRU (7) will need a few factors in her favour here but if able to find gaps with track to work with, can be mounting a late challenge. Looking to take them all the way last start over the AP 2138m trip, she was in for the fight when only nabbed late. 3rd to TAJIE BABY 2 starts back, she will be probing.

DONNY JONES (5) is never far from the action and has placed at 4 of his past 5 starts. Taking a dive up the passing lane last start for 3rd to MAJOR MUCHA, he will be wide at some stage here.

SIXPENNY RED (8) is in great touch and lines up here with wins at 3 of her past 4 starts on this track. Finding the front last start and keeping them chasing, she can be looking to chime in late here.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA LAD (3), WANJIRU (7), DONNY JONES (5), SIXPENNY RED (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA LAD (3) to win

RACE SIX

ARTISTIC SAINT (2) has received the ticket back to the main draw and comes up with a good gate against suitable opponents to break a win drought. Sent forward from gate 6 last start to cut the breeze, he was game in holding on for 3rd behind the big winner IL MAXIMUS. The improved gate is a big plus that he can take advantage of.

MAJOR LUCKY (8) was shooting for the hat-trick last start after wins here at the sprint trip and then at Marburg over the 1850m. Away from the inside early last start to settle mid-field, he did not really eat into the deficit to be 11m from the winner. Pressing through early to settle handy can see him challenge.

PACIFIC COIN (9) stuck to the pegs from inside the 2nd line last start in a qualifier and chimed in to grab the bronze behind NURBURGRING. With even luck in transit, he can chime in back to this grade.

MONTEREY JACK (6) was sent to the pegs from the 2nd line last start to hope for some short-cuts as he was chiming in late to be 5m in arrears of the winner JUSTA DALE. The gate stings but he can be working home late.

SELECTIONS: ARTISTIC SAINT (2), MAJOR LUCKY (8), PACIFIC COIN (9), MONTEREY JACK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ARTISTIC SAINT (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

MY SECRET BEACH (5) does not receive any favours from this gate, yet he might just be able to find the right spot in transit off what looks a front line with plenty of tempo. Searching for gaps, he was strong to the line last start when 4m from MAJOR MUCHA and he can arrive over the top here.

VALOROSO HANOVER (2) has claimed the bronze at each of his past 2 starts, the latest at Marburg when angled to the pegs from the 2nd line and never having a decent crack at them. Using the passing lane to be within 1.5m of the winner JOVIAL JULIE here 2 starts back, he can challenge.

THERESACHANCE (4) did some early work before receiving cover last start after having an early shot for supremacy. Stuck behind them 2 starts back as AMILLION PROMISES arrived, he can hustle early in this.

FIRE AND ICE (1) set the early tempo before opting for cover here last start when5m from the winner MUCH BETTOR. This looks a shade below his recent opponents to give him a chance to capitalise.

SELECTIONS: MY SECRET BEACH (5), VALOROSO HANOVER (2), THERESACHANCE (4), FIRE AND ICE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MY SECRET BEACH (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) has raced here on 6 previous occasions for a win and two placings. It has been a while since he last traversed The Triangle but each of those previous starts was from wide or 2nd line gates. 6m from OYSTER STRIDE 2 starts back from gate 7 at AP, he looks set to get all the favours.

JUSTA DALE (2) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here over this trip. Last time he secured the perfect run in behind the speed before making the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. Somehow finding a way to win 2 starts back when all look lost, he can settle close to the action.

BURMACH (8) had an early look last start at Marburg but with no lead was content to roll the sleeves. Proving too tough in a strong win, he can get the right trail to chime in late here.

THREO (7) found it tricky to make ground from the 2nd line at Marburg last start in a strong last 800m. Not that far from MUCH BETTOR here 2 starts back, he can be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), JUSTA DALE (2), BURMACH (8), THREO (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
