RACE TWO

MY MAGIC MERLIN (3) rolled forward from gate 4 over this trip last start and did the hard yards outside the smart LUCKY UNLUCKY. From this alley he can look to roll forward and if able to force his way to the front can prove too strong for his opposition over the trip.

SIXPENNY RED (1) faces her first test at the 2138m trip and while she does have the speed to lead them up, there is every chance that they may opt for a trail. Taken back from gate 6 last start in 3YO company she found the line nicely behind ALI DOWNUNDER. Fitter from that run she can feature.

ITSMEGS (6) has no favours from this alley however with the small field it lessens the blow somewhat. Her run last start was full of merit when wide off the track and she will be storming home.

MATRON JUJON (5) went back from gate 6 last start and was a long way back in the pack. That followed a bronze at Redcliffe behind FORTES IN FIDES and podium claims appear best.

RACE THREE

OLE SUN (9) is in superb form with wins in 4 of his past 6 starts with 3rds recorded in the other 2. Stepping to the front last start he was able to score a rare front running victory, with the majority of his wins coming when finishing over the top. With some good early tempo he can swoop late to continue his hot streak.

GHENT (2) has a strong record from the mobile and is another trotter that is in good touch. Here on Tues he was buried in the run from his 30m impost and was hitting the line strongly to finish 6.5m from the in-form PATSDELIGHT. With good early speed he can look to dictate and will be gripping on.

ULTIMATE DAIQUIRI (3) was first up in Australia when scoring a nice win from the mobile at Redcliffe. Beaten in red figures at her only other start, there was an issue and she was sent for a freshen. Returning here, she can be right in the mix.

 MIRACLE RISING (5) makes his Aus debut and was last seen when scoring over the 2200m stand trip at Auckland back on Jul 20. Joining the powerful Dixon stable who have a great record with this type of trotter, he stays under notice at just his 2^nd mobile start.

RACE FOUR

LENNY THE LEGEND (9) turned around a long winless streak to score in dominant style over the 2138m trip here last start. Lighting the lamps he was dealing in front to score a 4m victory. That followed a pair of placings behind the smart ARGYLE BEACH who has since won again. He will need a slice of luck but can salute.

FRANCO TOTEM (10) found a suitable race last time out over the 2138m trip and packed too many guns to score in nice style after running home in strong sectionals. That followed a tough run when cutting the breeze outside LENNY THE LEGEND and with the right run will be right in the fight again.

MR MEDDLE (1) started from this gate in a qualifier 3 starts back and after taking the trail used the passing lane to get within a neck of the winner OUR CHITTYBANGBANG. He can get another cosy trip here and will be waiting to take the snipers shot.

MAMMALS MAGIC (4) has found some form and after a tough run in the breeze in a strong closing 800m at Redcliffe came to the AP mile to score a nice win. Her effort last start was strong when only going under a half-neck behind FRANCO TOTEM. From the gate she can look for the pegs.

RACE FIVE

MAX RICHTER (6) will take benefit from his latest run when returning after a 5 week break between runs. Taken back from gate 7 he was too far back to issue a challenge. His run 2 starts back was a solid effort from the breeze when beaten 4m and back to the mile here strikes a winnable claimer.

OUR MELS DREAM (9) has worked his way back into form and has been in the trifecta at his past 3 starts, including a win 3 starts back over the mile. Only beaten a neck at his next start after pressing on to the front from gate 6 he was a passing lane 2^nd last start. With the right trail he will be finishing hard.

IMA MORVEN LAD (4) scored at Redcliffe 3 starts back over the 2040m trip and followed that with the narrowest of 2^nds to STIRLING WILLIAM. With the speed to look for the pegs here, his stocks will rise if able to get across them.

STIRLING WILLIAM (8) will need his share of luck from this alley, however he is racing well and arrived in time to score over the mile here 2 starts back. With the right luck he can chime into the exotics.

RACE SIX

LUCKY UNLUCKY (2) will strip fitter following his latest run when returning from a spell and having little trouble in leading all the way over the 2138m trip. His last prep was only 2 starts where 2^nd up he defeated some handy 3YO’s in RED CHARMER and COREY WILLIAM. He looks too classy.

VINTAGE DREAM (1) was a winner 7 starts back when finishing with too much power from gate 10 at Redcliffe. Placed in every run since that victory, she used the passing lane to get within a neck of ARTFUL MAID 2 starts back and with the benefit of a cosy trip here can run the exacta.

JACKS AT THE BEACH (11) went back from gate 6 last start and tracked home in good order to fill 4^th behind FRANCO TOTEM. His previous 2 were behind SPRING CAMPAIGN and SECRET JACK. With form behind those, he looks well placed here and can challenge.

PATERNITY SUIT (9) resumes from a freshen and was last seen when fading out behind the handy 3YO TRES VITE. That followed a passing lane 2^nd to JANUARY and with the right early trail will be able to find position.
