RACE TWO

SLIPASLYGRIN (3) was pressing ahead from gate 4 here 2 starts back and did his share of work when cutting the breeze and holding on to be 11m from the winner. Last start he lost momentum behind a tiring leader and with the lead up for grabs can look to take control and grip on in an open event.

EARL JUJON (7) has no favours from the wide gate however he is racing well enough to be a factor in this line-up. Last start over the 2138m trip he was hitting the line in good style to grab the bronze behind SPEEDIE MCARDLE when only beaten 2m and he can feature again here.

SUBTLE ADVICE (4) went back from gate 6 last start and was buried in the run with LUCKY UNLUCKY dictating up front. This is his best gate in a few starts and he can look for a sharper effort.

GHOST GUM (1) held on for the bronze from this gate in a similar type race 4 starts back over the 2138m. Back to the mile will suit and with the cosy trip will be looking for the gaps and a place cheque.

SELECTIONS: SLIPASLYGRIN (3), EARL JUJON (7), SUBTLE ADVICE (4), GHOST GUM (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MR KALYPSO (6) will strip fitter from his return to the track after a 5 month break with his last campaign only 2 starts following a 12 month lay-off. Settling with running line cover, he quickly put his rivals to the sword and powered home to a 17m victory. He is a classy customer that will be hard to stop.

PACIFIC DRUMS (10) led them up last week over the mile and went down fighting with just a neck separating him from the winner. That followed a tough run from gate 5 when only 5m from SPRING CAMPAIGN over the 2138m and with the right cart home can podium.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8) was a heat winner of the Redcliffe Sales 3YO series 4 starts back and was then 4th in the final. Runner-up his past 2 starts look for him charging home in the latter stages here.

LAUGHING EMOJI (9) scored from the pocket trail here 2 starts back to make it wins in 3 of 4 starts at AP. Last starts she was keen in the breeze and the run was strong when 3m from ADRIFT. With even luck in transit she can place.

SELECTIONS: MR KALYPSO (6), PACIFIC DRUMS (10), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8), LAUGHING EMOJI (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MR KALYPSO (6) to win

RACE FOUR

JILLIBY MACARENA (8)
will take good benefit from his latest start when 1st up in Qld and having his 1st start in 6 weeks. Looking to take them all the way he was grabbed late by ALI DOWNUNDER who had the cold sit on him. Following the speed here he can find the gap to take the closing shot.

VALIANT GEM (5) broke his 2YO maiden here 2 starts back when sent forward to the breeze and digging in for the fight packed too many guns. Only 4m from the winner ALI DOWNUNDER last start he can throw down a challenge.

AT RANDOM (6) worked across to lead them up here last start and after a strong opening panel tries to ease it off before being run-down late. The wide gate hurts but he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY MACARENA (8), VALIANT GEM (5), AT RANDOM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY MACARENA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

PAY ME INTEREST (6) had been building towards a victory after successive placings and then found her race at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was able to cash-in. Last start from gate 1 here she held the trail when 2nd to MAYWYNS COURAGE and in a wide-open contest she is worth a shot at the stumps.

MAYTHEHORSEBWITHU (2) struck trouble in the run here 3 starts back and did well to be within 5m of the winner SNAKES N LADDERS. Running into the smart MR KALYPSO at his next outing he has since claimed a bronze at Redcliffe and with the chance of finding the pegs first has some hope here.

HIGH ON MONTANA (8) will need his slice of luck but with a cosy trip can be looking for a gap to sprint home in the closing stages. A Redcliffe winner 5 back he wasn’t far away his next 3 before scoring at Marburg last start.

FEEL THE CHARM (3) will take benefit from her return to the track last start following a 6 month break. Working hard in the run 1st up she went within a head of victory and can go close here.

SELECTIONS: PAY ME INTEREST (6), MAYTHEHORSEBWITHU (2), HIGH ON MONTANA (8), FEEL THE CHARM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2-3-6-8

RACE SIX

RORY MACH (5)
was taken back from gate 6 here last Tues and was finishing off strongly to grab the silver behind LEXUS ON THE BEACH. On Sat night he took on a 2nd division Band 5 and was attacking the line in the closing stages for 3rd and only 2m from CHAPTER ONE. With some tempo up front look for him charging home.

SIR JULIAN (6) is still searching for an elusive victory here at AP and has managed to place in 10 of his 19 appearances. Taking on a qualifier on Sat night he was finding the line nicely after starting from the 2nd line and was 5m from the winner. With versatility he will be in the mix once again.

THREO (7) took on claiming company 3 starts back and from the 2nd line was attacking the line strongly to be 1.5m from the winner STIRLING WILLIAM. Forget his next 2 starts, he can be sharper in this grade.

FOURS ENUF TAS (9) pressed ahead from a 2nd line gate last start a Tamworth and finding the front over the 2360m went down swinging when 1.5m from the winner. With even luck in transit he can place.

SELECTIONS: RORY MACH (5), SIR JULIAN (6), THREO (7), FOURS ENUF TAS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: RORY MACH (5) each-way

RACE SEVEN

OUR MAJOR DAY (3) will take good benefit from his latest start when returning from spell. Sent to the post in red figures from gate 11, he made a mid-race move to find the front and was then only grabbed in the closing stages. With good early speed he can look for the pegs and will take some catching.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (4) completed the hat-trick last start to remain undefeated in Aus and has scored in good style in all 3 from wide gates. Pressing on to work to the front from gate 6 last start he held on to score by 2m. This is a step up but with an improved gate can look to maintain the record.

LILAC FLASH (9) found himself locked away here last start in a small field and with the closing half of 55 set from the front was always going to struggle to eat into the deficit. If they go too hard in the early stages, he is the one to be looking for at the finish.

LENNY THE LEGEND (7) had been building towards a victory and was able to cash-in here 2 starts back. Last start from the 2nd line he chased home for the bronze behind FRANCO TOTEM and despite the wide gate can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (3), SPRING CAMPAIGN (4), LILAC FLASH (9), LENNY THE LEGEND (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (3) to win
