Young Jack Colley-Presnell is officially on the board.

In his maiden season of driving, the keen reinsman steered his first winner when successful at Albion Park today (Thursday) behind the Ryan Veivers trained Vader in the SKY Racing Pace.

Restrained to a rearward position from the wide draw, Colley-Presnell found himself last nearing the 400m before getting deep on the track and allowing Vader to charge past tiring runners.

Vader ($12) defeated race favourite Oliver Winkle ($2.20) and Speedie Mcardle ($4.20).

The winning mile rate for the 2138m event was 1:59.3.

Another graduate of the mini-trotting ranks, Colley-Presnell was having his 9th race drive when successful.

Earlier in the program, he finished at the rear of the field (12th) with Diamantina Devil in the Pryde’s Easifeed Pace before finishing 4th with Farrahfowler in the Lunchbox Lodge Spelling Farm Pace.

His trio of drives today is all prepared by Ryan Veivers.

Tomorrow, Colley-Presnell takes the drive behind the Veivers trained Epirus Boy in the Mr Feelgood @ Egmont Park Stud Claiming Pace, the fourth race on the program.
