RACE TWO

MAJESTIC SIMON (8) was game in defeat last start when a half-head in arrears of the winner SKYLINE. His closing splits in that event were sizzling for a square gaiter, with his last 800 in 55.75. This is a shade stronger but he moves forward 10m and with a cart into the contest can arrive.

IVANOV (1) started from position 6 off the front line last start when able to use his starting manners to find the pocket trail. Fighting hard to be mid-field when 10m from SKYLINE, it had followed a tidy effort when buried in the run in a Saturday night event. Off the inside, he can challenge.

REDWOOD INVASION (4) faces a rise in class to what he faced 1st up in Qld where he was a real eye-catcher from back in the pack when 1m off the winner from a 30m tape. The front strand helps.

MIRACLE RISING (7)
is still searching for a 2020 calendar year victory and is getting closer. Tough in the breeze last start when 9m from the winner GREG THE GREAT, off the 10m he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SIMON (8), IVANOV (1), REDWOOD INVASION (4), MIRACLE RISING (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SIMON (8) to win

RACE THREE

This shapes as a competitive mobile trot with the capacity field and 4 last start winners engaged. With the benefit of a gate advantage over some of the leading contenders, I ASKED NICELY (4) can look to exploit barrier 4. Setting the tempo under these conditions last start, he was nabbed in the closing stages by ARNOLD. A winner 2 back yet banished to the trials, he can look to capitalise.

DOUG (11) has been kept fresh since his last outing when successful under these conditions. Pressing forward from gate 7 to sit outside the leader, he proved too strong in grinding out a 2m victory. That was just his 2nd start in Qld and despite the 2nd line, he can make a play in this.

ARNOLD (12) will take good benefit from his last start victory when returning from a spell. Buried away from inside the 2nd line, he powered home to a smart win. The gate stings but a repeat is within reach.

SKYLINE (10) has returned from a break in top order with 4 wins in his past 7 starts. Rolling off the inside to face the breeze last start, he held off MAJESTIC SIMON for a smart win. He is right in this and the 2nd line tactical battle will be intriguing.

SELECTIONS: I ASKED NICELY (4), DOUG (11), ARNOLD (12), SKYLINE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

ONE CHANGE (7)
has no favours from gate 7, yet the gun 3YO looks set to remain undefeated in Qld. Too tough in the breeze last start, he finished over the top of them the start prior after easing into the running line from gate 6. Both return runs have been at the 2138m and he drops back to the mile here but looks too smart for his opponents to claim the threepeat.

LILAC FLASH (8) will need some factors in his favours to issue a meaningful challenge, yet he faces a class drop off what he has been meeting in recent starts. Locked on the pegs here on Sat he was probing for openings when 6m from ASHLEY LOCAZ. Runner-up the start prior, he will be probing.

HOLY CAMP CLIVE (1) steps out for Nathan Dawson for the 1st time after being claimed last start. Beaten by tough gates at his past 3 starts, his effort 2 back had merit and the gate helps his chances.

THE BUS (4) was sent forward to the breeze last start and was game in defeat when 1m from ONE CHANGE in a strong 2138m rate. With even luck in transit, he can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: ONE CHANGE (7), LILAC FLASH (8), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (1), THE BUS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE CHANGE (7) to win

RACE FIVE

ONYA DOUG (4) was a winner over the mile here 4 starts back when returning from a spell and starting from gate 9. Finishing over the top, he had bullets to fire late in arriving. Not that far off them in his next 2 starts, he was snagged back from gate 6 last time and was never really a threat against the tempo. The improved gate and small field give him a chance.

BOULDER CITY (2) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when doing plenty of work in the run to press forward from gate 4 and then grinding it out in the breeze. Pulling clear in the stretch to record a 10m victory, he followed it with a 2m 2nd last start. From the good gate he can feature.

MOTU AMETHYST (1) will take good benefit from her latest start when returning from a spell to have just her 5th race start. Leading nearly every step of the way, she can be thereabouts again.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (8) tried to take then all the way last start over the sprint trip when setting up in front off gate 1. Finishing 5m in arrears, it was a tidy effort and with options off the 2nd line can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: ONYA DOUG (4), BOULDER CITY (2), MOTU AMETHYST (1), JILLIBY JACKPOT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

NIMAH FRANCO (5) has placed in both starts since joining the Dixon stable, the latest when gunned down over this trip by the smart 3YO WILL THE WIZARD. Leading them up at her 1st start in a strong mares event, she was nabbed in the closing strides by TACT BESS. Chasing them here, she can arrive.

HAVING THE FAITH (1) held the pocket trail over the sprint trip here 2 starts back and was best of the chasing pack behind the flying CRUNCH TIME who stopped the clock in 1.51.1 for the mile. Finding the pegs prior to releasing last start, he finished best up the passing lane. With a similar scenario on offer, he can look to repeat the result.

JIVE (2) is yet to miss the board here at The Creek in her 6 starts and backs up from Friday where she was a beaten red figure fav. Gunned down late after setting the tempo, she will be fighting hard.

LEFT A TERROR (8) is going better than the numbers in his 3 runs back from a spell possibly suggest. Finding the line strongly last start behind OUR FRIEND, he will have early options here and can make a late play.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (5), HAVING THE FAITH (1), JIVE (2), LEFT A TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NIMAH FRANCO (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUTLAW FELLA (4) eased in behind the leader here last start to secure the easy trip. Making a late dive in the stretch, he was able to get within a head of the prize. Setting the tempo, the start prior, he was only nabbed in the closing stages when 2m in arrears of the winner. This looks within reach.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (8) will need a slice of luck in transit here, but he is going well enough to throw down the challenge if the factors can fall in his favour. Locked away 3 back on the poles last start, he had made an error but reset to grab the bronze and will be ready to launch a challenge here.

COREY WILLIAM (1) will strip fitter from his latest effort when 2nd up from a break. Snagged back from gate 5, he was always facing a task against the tempo. The gate is his friend here.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (3) makes his Qld debut for the Darrel Graham stable, arriving with form around the two boom Victorian horses LOCHINVAR ART and RIDE HIGH. Well graded here in Qld, he is under notice 1st up.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAW FELLA (4), MAFUTA VAUTIN (8), COREY WILLIAM (1), COURAGEOUS SAINT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUTLAW FELLA (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

DINA BOLT (8) will need some factors in his favour from inside the 2nd line but if able to find the space when required, should have the measure of these. Working to the front last start, he was able to take them all the way. A beaten fav at his 1st 2 starts here in Qld, he will need a rub of the green.

BOMBADIER JUJON (1) has been kept fresh since his last appearance and lands the right gate for a return outing. Powering home over the top to claim a smart win from back in the pack over this trip last start, it followed a narrow 2nd when beaten a neck behind WICKED AZZ. He can challenge from this alley.
DYNAMIC BROMAC (9) might just find this a shade easier than his past few starts, the latest when 9m from WINKANDITSOVER after doing plenty of work in the run. 8m from STOMPEM the start prior, he stays in the mix.

SPECIAL RESERVE (2) eased from gate 5 over this trip last start to find position when powering over the top of them to take the prize. Placed her previous 2 starts, she has claims from the good alley.

SELECTIONS: DINA BOLT (8), BOMBADIER JUJON (1), DYNAMIC BROMAC (9), SPECIAL RESERVE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE NINE

KIWIS ARE FLYING (9) makes his Aus debut for Narissa McMullen, arriving from the South Island of NZ with 3 wins and 12 placings in 29 attempts. Down the line last start behind the talented KRUG, he opened the pipes in a sharp preparatory trial here at The Creek. He can make a flying start in Qld.

COPPERFIELD (7) will need to work some magic from this gate, afforded no favours from the tricky alley. Yet to miss the board in 6 starts since joining the Ian Gurney barn, he was too strong in front last start when powering home to a 12m victory. Game the start prior, he can challenge again.

HELLO ITS ME (2) made a winning start to her Qld career when a 1st up winner here 2 starts back when leading all the way. Forced to work tough in the breeze last start, she was in for the fight when only beaten a neck and can feature again here.

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (8) added another victory to his Qld tally here last start to make it 5 wins at The Creek. The latest was a tough effort in the breeze when grinding hard in a slick mile. The gate makes it tricky, but he cannot be ignored.

SELECTIONS: KIWIS ARE FLYING (9), COPPERFIELD (7), HELLO ITS ME (2), FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KIWIS ARE FLYING (9) to win
