RACE TWO

DOMESTIC ART (7) has been kept fresh since his last start when snagged back from outside the front line over this trip before probing for gaps when 9m from the winner PAGO PAGO. Locked away from the 2nd line here 2 starts back, he holds the most wins title here at Marburg and can add to that against these.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (8) worked to the front from gate 4 last time out and with a solid tempo was unable to maintain the rage when fading in the run. Buried away the start prior from inside the 2nd line, he was only grabbed late when leading here 3 back. The gate hurts, but he might have the edge.

LORD DENZEL (1) has been struggling to recapture form since arriving in Qld and has found his way to his 3rd Qld stable last start. Wilting badly when leading 3 back, he might just be a touch sharper in this.

BAMBOLE NERE (4) has recorded 2 of her 3 career wins here at this venue. 8m in arrears last start behind MANOFLISA, she was strong in the closing stages 2 back after retreating from gate 7.

SELECTIONS: DOMESTIC ART (7), TICK OF THE CLOCK (8), LORD DENZEL (1), BAMBOLE NERE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

This is the 1st of 5 heats of the Marburg to Albion Series where ROCKNTINGIRA (1) faces a nice class drop into this contest from an improved gate after finishing 3.5m from COOLIE KID in a 2nd division qualifier last time out. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior over the AP mile, he lands the gate to capitalise and as the leerie can light the final lamp.

PAGO PAGO (4) was a winner from the 2nd line at The Triangle 3 starts back when finishing best to claim a 2m victory, with DEVOUGED grabbing 3rd. Last start he had the tables turned when 5m in arrears of DEVOUGED, yet the effort was full of merit when attacking the line strongly. He can throw down a challenge.

WHATA STRIDE (6) settled back in the pack last start at Redcliffe from the 2nd line and when asked for the effort worked home strongly to arrive for the prize. In consistent touch, she will be probing.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) started the punters elect at Redcliffe last start from gate 1 and after securing the pocket trail was down the line. The gate makes it tough here, but he is one for the exotics.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNTINGIRA (1), PAGO PAGO (4), WHATA STRIDE (6), STUDLEIGH WILL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNTINGIRA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

She may have the lone win next to her name from 6 career starts, but UTELLA (2) has been racing against experienced performers in every run since her win. That win came here in maiden company when leading throughout over this trip. A credible effort in a mares qualifier last start behind the superstar AMAZING DREAM, back to this company from this gate, she can capitalise.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7) has been in the money at 5 of his 7 trips around the track here, the latest when runner-up behind BUKTHSYSTEM. Claiming an AP win over the 2138m trip 3 starts back, he was beaten by a wide gate last time behind COPPERFIELD. He will be up for the challenge here.

ONYAJANS (1) is generally at her best when tucked in behind the speed and waiting for the passing lane. With no lane here at Marburg, she will be probing for the gaps to find space to chime in.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (8) is in great touch with a top-three finish in 9 of her past 10 starts, 5 of those being victories. Grabbed in the stretch after leading them up last start, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: UTELLA (2), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (7), ONYAJANS (1), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: UTELLA (2) to win

RACE FIVE

HEADWIN (3) is at his best when able to lead and is also a three-time winner on this track. With 3 starts since returning from a spell, he was snagged back last start from gate 5 which followed a tough trip in the breeze from the same alley. They can light the fuse early and look to dictate.

BONNIES CAM (5) is in superb touch at present and lines up here with wins in 4 of his past 5 starts, completing a hat-trick of victories including an all the way win over the 2200m trip here to kick-off the threepeat. Working home over the top of them last start, the gates stings but he is going too well to dismiss.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (1) lands his best gate for some time as he looks to break a win drought that extends over 18 months. Only 8m from BARA JAYLA last start, the gate is a big plus to his hopes.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (2) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest when buried in the run and closing strongly to grab 3rd behind BARA JAYLA. 2nd to ALLSTAR SEA here 5 runs back, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: HEADWIN (3), BONNIES CAM (5), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (1), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HEADWIN (3) to win

RACE SIX

Heat 4 of the Series looks the strongest of the 5 heats where TEARAWAY DIAMOND (4) who made errors last start yet was still strong to the line to grab the bronze when only 1.5m in arrears of the winner. Banished to the trials for his misdemeanours he has earned the return with a pair of smart hit-outs in good time. His issues looked sorted and he can return with a bang.

GUTS (1) has been around The Burg a few times with 2 wins and 5 minors in his 18 outings. He did not have the cleanest run in transit last start which followed a 3rd behind the big winner MEGA STAR. Al all the way winner 3 starts back, he will be hustling off the arm here to post his challenge.

ALLSTAR SEA (2) is 1 from 1 here at Marburg when leading all the way from gate 1 and laying down a slick last half in the process. Only a half-neck away last start, he will be having an early look in this.

SHEZ GOT BLING (6) backs up from Thursday where she was in the mix from gate 1. The early speed battle will be key to her chances here and if sighting some gaps can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TEARAWAY DIAMOND (4), GUTS (1), ALLSTAR SEA (2), SHEZ GOT BLING (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TEARAWAY DIAMOND (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

It is always a risk for a horse drawn inside the 2nd line here with no passing lane and the short home stretch so OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6) will need some things to go his way. Placed his past 4 in succession, he closed in good order last start over the AP mile in sharp time. There looks a chance he will see the space and he can take full advantage.

ALL GOOD WALLY (1)
has only been here to the Burg on 1 occasion when finishing unplaced. He was strong last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip when working in the run and pulling clear to claim a 7m victory which followed a luckless run from inside the 2nd line. He gets his chance to dictate here.

SHADYS DELIGHT (5) has no favours from the wide gate yet he has been in great touch in similar quality events and lines up with a top-3 in 5 of his past 6. Closing strongly last start, he is a place hope.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (4) claimed an AP victory at the mile 2 starts back after securing the pocket trail from gate 3 and finishing over the top. Only 4m away last start, early position will be key to his chances of finishing in the top-two to progress to the Final.

SELECTIONS: OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6), ALL GOOD WALLY (1), SHADYS DELIGHT (5), ABERCROMBIE TAB (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

IDEAL TIGER (8) faces the tricky gate, but he should appreciate this class of contest after meeting some stronger opponents in recent starts. Claiming a 2nd division qualifier 3 starts back when making the most of the passing lane, he worked hard in the run last start over the AP mile. He can arrive.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (4) was 1st up since returning to the care of Max Towns last time out when using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind COPPERFIELD. Facing a run of bad gates in the starts prior, she can look to slide across early here at her first look at this track and challenge.

MISS MIA (2) is 1 for 1 here on this track when leading all the way over this same trip from this same gate just 3 starts back. A passing lane 3rd to OUR UNCLE ALAN last start, she is right in this.

COBALT BLUES (7) was an easy winner 2 starts back when leading all the way from gate for an untouched victory. Beaten by a tough gate on Thursday at Redcliffe, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (8), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (4), MISS MIA (2), COBALT BLUES (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-4-7-8

RACE NINE

KARLOO MAC (3) started from the 2nd line last time out when settling back in the running line over the Redcliffe 2040m to be 8m in arrears. Closing nicely over the same trip 2 starts back for the bronze when only 1.5m away, he can fire off the arm and if finding the pegs will take stopping.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) was closing nicely last start at Redcliffe over the 2040m when 3m from the winner OUR UNCLE ALAN after starting from outside the 2nd line. Forget his outing 2 starts back when striking trouble, he was strong late 3 back and from this gate will be searching for the gaps.

COLOMBIAN GOLD (4) worked forward last start and was obliged to do it the tough way when fading under a strong tempo. Close-up the start prior, she might have to do it tough again here.

MAMMALS MAGIC (6) will need some luck from this gate as she looks set to be buried away yet here past 3 have been tidy efforts. Runner-up to WILL THE WIZARD last start, she just needs space.

SELECTIONS: KARLOO MAC (3), BEEF CITY BLAZE (2), COLOMBIAN GOLD (4), MAMMALS MAGIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KARLOO MAC (3) to win
