RACE TWO

Taking further benefit from her latest appearance where she was 2nd up from a freshen, the super consistent mare BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5) looks well placed. Hitting the board in 10 of her past 11 starts, she chased hard last start to grab 2nd after starting from a 30m tape. This looks within reach.

KAPAI (2) had been knocking on the door with some handy performances and converted that here on Tuesday from the front tape over the 2138m. Finding the front soon after release, he rolled along and kept them chasing to claim a 2m margin. Winless from the mobile, he can change that here.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (3) tackled the pacers last start at Marburg where she was able to burrow through, hold the front and pull clear to a dominant win. Back to her own gait, she can feature.

AVEROSS DON (6) will take some benefit from his run here last week where he picked up some late metres to grab the bronze behind MISTER CHISOLM. Still searching for a mobile win, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5), KAPAI (2), IMA CALVERT ROSE (3), AVEROSS DON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5) to win

RACE THREE

BONZA GUY (7)
was fired off the arm from the five-hole last start and soon after was in front and dictating over the sprint trip. Taking them all the way to claim an impressive victory, he faces the stiff gate here but if recreating his last start winning effort, he gets the chance to repeat.
s
CALVERT HOT SHOT (3) completed a hat-trick of victories last start when taking them all the way over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Making the most of gate 1 to hold them wide, he did it easy in the early stages before ripping home a 27.7 closing panel. Settling handy from this alley aid his challenge.

RINGOS A STAR (6) started from the ace last start and was soon shuffled away before finding the space to try to make some impression, finishing best of the rest behind the big winner GIRL FROM OZ. The gate stings.

ROCKNHOLME (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when grabbing the bronze after not getting the smoothest passage. Just 6m from the winner, he can be looking to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BONZA GUY (7), CALVERT HOT SHOT (3), RINGOS A STAR (6), ROCKNHOLME (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

IM LOKI (2)
has won 3 of his 5 starts since joining the Narissa McMullen stable, the latest at Redcliffe when pressing forward from outside the front line to take control. Putting them to the sword at Marburg 3 starts back with a huge victory, he can press the issue early to take control.

CHARLEVOIX (8) rolled the sleeves and fought it out from the breeze last start, grinding out a narrow but tough win. Charging home from back in the pack here 2 starts back when 1m from the winner LETS BLAZE, if he can find space with momentum, he can throw down the challenge.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (1) was shooting for a hat-trick of wins last start when sitting parked and fighting on to hold 2nd as the winner SWEET SANGRIA pulled clear to a massive win. The gate helps.

SIGNOR JUJON (7) eased into the 1x1 trail from gate 4 last start and was sound to the line as MY BELLE AND ME took the prize. Wide off the track when runner-up 2 starts back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: IM LOKI (2), CHARLEVOIX (8), WILD ABOUT TOWN (1), SIGNOR JUJON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE FIVE

In great touch since joining the Chloe Butler barn, EYRE I GO (4) will once again tackle the pacers, which has done so with success on two occasions in his past 4 starts. Back to his own gait last time, the run was full of merit when 2nd behind VAN SANK and rolling forward can claim another.

A GOOD IDEAL (1) is on the back-up from Wednesday night at Redcliffe where he looked a strong chance of taking them all the way. Runner-up 2 starts back on The Triangle when doing some early work, coming up with another good alley here looks to help his cause to breakthrough.

JOEY LINCOLN (8) is on the backup from Tuesday where he was down the line as WHATA ROLLER secured the win from the pocket trail. Charging home for a smart 3rd here 2 runs back, he will be probing.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (3) was sent around the field from the 2nd line last start to sit parked outside the trotter IMA CALVERT ROSE but he could not finish it off. Settling handy he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: EYRE I GO (4), A GOOD IDEAL (1), JOEY LINCOLN (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: EYRE I GO (4) to win

RACE SIX

A winner here 3 starts back from this same gate over the sprint trip, SHADOW MINISTER (1) has tackled qualifiers at his past 2 starts including a last start 3rd when just a half-neck from the winner NO DOUBT. Taking them all the way to his victory, it followed a 2nd over this trip, and he gets every chance here.

HES SWEET (5) returns to the Sunshine State for a Summer campaign and has been in nice touch since resuming from a spell with 2 wins and 2 minors in 5 outings. Gate 10 over the Menangle mile sorted him out last time which followed a smart Bathurst win. The distance is the big query to his challenging chances.

THE GENERAL (3) was hemmed away against the poles last start in a strong qualifying field and when the gaps arrived, he was strong to the line for the bronze behind LE TISSIER. Settling handy will help him swooping late.

WHICH HUNT (2) settled in the 1x1 trail in a strong mares race last time out and was trying to launch a closing raid when 3rd to ARTFUL MAID. Just 3m away the start prior, she can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW MINISTER (1), HES SWEET (5), THE GENERAL (3), WHICH HUNT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW MINISTER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

WOODLANDS WONDER (3)
was faced with a 2nd line draw last start that saw him back in the pack and trying to eat into the deficit over the closing stages. Runner-up here 2 starts back when sitting parked and chasing VALENCIA, he can look to fire the early bullets and might be able to pinch this.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9) started from gate 10 last start and was trying to make a closing play wide off the track as the winner MY BELLE AND ME took the short way via the passing lane home. A passing lane winner himself 2 starts back, he finds the right race to make another challenge.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) will be tightened from her latest outing where she was resuming from a break. Angled to the pegs, she was hitting the line in nice order when not far away and the gate helps here.

STRONG RESPONSE (8) resumes from a spell and was last seen when facing a pair of smart 2YOs with the race claimed by LEAP TO FAME. With a handy preparatory trial, he will be probing in this.

SELECTIONS: WOODLANDS WONDER (3), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1), STRONG RESPONSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Finding the front last start from gate 5 and looking to dictate, DANCE IN THE SUN (6) was in front deep into the stretch but was worried out of it by ALI DOWNUNDER. Collared the start prior when 3rd in a strong mare only event, she has gone under as a red figure fav at her past 2 starts and can search for redemption here.

ALLSTAR SEA (1) has hit a purple patch with 4 wins from his past 6 appearances. Sent forward from gate 7 to take control last start, once in charge he was able to ease it off through the middle stages and kick clear to claim an effortless 7m victory. From the gate he will be burrowing through to make his play.

GOALKICKER (3) has worked her way into some nice touch and last start worked home strongly from the 2nd line in a mare’s qualifier to grab the silver behind AMERICAN FLYER. The improved gate is a big help.

MAGGIE (8) comes up with the 2nd line options here as the lone runner out the back. Eased from gate 6 last start, she was strong to the line for 3rd behind BONZA GUY and can feature here.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (6), ALLSTAR SEA (1), GOALKICKER (3), MAGGIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (6) to win
