RACE TWO

After two starts at The Creek since arriving in Aus, this looks a big drop in grade for BARIKA (6). Asked to roll the sleeves to grind it out when parked over the mile last time, she faded late to be midfield. That followed a 2m margin again when working hard in the run. She can defy the gate in this line up.

FLEETING FEELGOOD (5) has had two starts since joining the Chloe Butler stable, the latest when making a closing drive only to be an eyelash away from victory. Gunned down in front at his first appearance, the gate stings but he can look to throw down a serious challenge.

TANCLATRA LIS (3) will take some benefit from her return from a spell here last time out. Asked to work hard when sent forward from the 2nd line, she will have early bullets to fire here.

ALEX TEE (9) held on for the bronze over the AP mile 2 starts back and then last start from gate 2 found the pocket trail but could not go on with it. Despite the gate, this looks more suitable.

SELECTIONS: BARIKA (6), FLEETING FEELGOOD (5), TANCLATRA LIS (3), ALEX TEE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BARIKA (6) to win

RACE THREE

Trainer Monica Betts has not had a great deal of luck, with 3 horses engaged landing gate 6 with all 3. That has not proven a deterrent for DEAL BREAKER (6) previously who has 3 wins in his past 5 with 2 of those from this alley. Collared on the line last start, he can arrive again here.

WHATA REACTOR (5) has been in nice touch, hitting the board at her past 4 in succession that includes 2 wins. Pressing ahead from the 2nd line to get outside the leader and sit parked last start, she was then too strong over the closing stages. With early hustle, she can be in a striking position.

TULHURST LOVER (4) eased from this same alley to find the pegs and look for shortcuts last time out when chiming in to grab the bronze. Positioning cheaply will be key as she looks to make 100 starts in style.

TEACHERS PET (9) tried to take them all the way here 2 starts back but could not see it out when finishing 4m in arrears of the winner. Striking trouble last start, she can chime in again here.

SELECTIONS: DEAL BREAKER (6), WHATA REACTOR (5), TULHURST LOVER (4), TEACHERS PET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DEAL BREAKER (6) to win

RACE FOUR

COBBITY CASTLE (6)
has faced the starter 3 times here at Redcliffe and had no luck with landing a gate, starting from this same alley at her past 2 in succession. Eased at release last start, she was strong to the line to grab 3rd which followed successive wins. Despite the gate she can go 3 from 4.

ELLE JAY (8) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and was trying to go with them in the closing stages when 3rd behind ILLBEWATCHING. The 2nd line does not aid her chances here but if able to follow through in the early stages she should be positioned to make a play.

FASTNFLASHY (2) was first up in Qld when grabbing the bronze over the Marburg 1850m. Down the line last start over the AP mile, she can settle close to the action from this alley.

FAMOUS SHOES (5) was able to overcome gate 6 to score here last time out after easing to get an economical trip and then finishing over the top. The gate stings again but he can feature.

SELECTIONS: COBBITY CASTLE (6), ELLE JAY (8), FASTNFLASHY (2), FAMOUS SHOES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: COBBITY CASTLE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

It has been a while since she took a stroll down victory lane however MACH TORQUE (3) might not get any better opportunity to cash in than what she is present with here. It did not go to plan last start when asked to work and the start prior she was gunned down over the 2040m. This looks D-Day.

FRANCO NANDOR (8) fired off the arm from gate 4 to take control here 2 starts back and from there was never in danger in scoring a comfortable victory. Beaten as a prohibitive short priced favourite last start, a return to The Triangle in this grade should suit and he can make a challenge.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) has placed at 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when buried in the run before making a closing play to grab the bronze. With the right trip he can make a play.

SCHEU CREEK (4) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when forced to grind it out over the Marburg 1850m when sent to sit parked. With even luck in transit he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MACH TORQUE (3), FRANCO NANDOR (8), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9), SCHEU CREEK (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH TORQUE (3) to win

RACE SIX

ALBERIO (2)
has now had 3 starts since returning from a spell and since featuring in a state and barn switch. Working hard when resuming and fading late for a midfield finish, he made an error 2nd up that cost him all chance. Strong to the line last start, this is his opportunity to cash in.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1) was a Marburg winner 3 runs back when a magical gap opened to the inside, and he darted through to take full advantage. Runner-up here at his next start, he looks set for the ideal trip from this gate and can be ready to take his shot when the passing lane presents.

WOODLANDS WONDER (4) was sent around them early from the 2nd line last time out over the AP mile and put the pressure on the leader. Fighting hard to get within a neck of the win, he can feature here.

SHEZ GOT BLING (8) is effective when saved for a closing shot off the speed and should get the ideal opportunity to make a play. Charging home last start when a half-neck from the winner, she can make start 100 memorable with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: ALBERIO (2), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (1), WOODLANDS WONDER (4), SHEZ GOT BLING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALBERIO (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

GET READY TO ROCK (5)
is hitting some nice areas in recent times, hitting the board at her last 7 in succession that has included wins in 3 of her past 4 attempts. Too slick up the stretch from the pocket trail last start, the gate does sting but she finds another winnable contest.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (2) was a winner here 5 starts back when finding the pocket trail from this same gate and then using the passing lane to arrive. Not much has really gone his way in the 4 starts since and if can fire the early bullets to find the pegs first, he then has the options to make a challenge.

JEWEL OF PEAK (3) tried to take them all the way here last start in the Knights and Dames Final but could not see it out. With good early hustle, she can be on the pointy end to press her claims.

NIGHT NINJA (7) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when grinding away to score a strong win. Holding on for the bronze last start, he will be probing for openings here.

SELECTIONS: GET READY TO ROCK (5), THE CASUAL GOOSE (2), JEWEL OF PEAK (3), NIGHT NINJA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GET READY TO ROCK (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

This looks a good race with several chances and where the tempo will be critical for some of the back-liners. A winner here 2 starts back ROCKNROLL DUDE (1) eased to the running line from gate 4 before charging over the top of them. Taking inside runs last start, he lands all the options.

ISLAS JOY (9) claimed a qualifier 5 starts back and followed that with a 2nd when 3m in arrears of ROCKNROLL CLASSIC at his next start. Better suited when up on the speed, he will not have that luxury from this alley, but is going well enough to throw down the challenge.

ALE ALE KAI (8) tackled a strong mares contest last time out when down the line in a strong mile claimed by HELGART. Only a neck away 3 starts back, she gets back to Redcliffe where she is a seven-time winner.

FROST EN ICE (4) resumed from a spell here last start over the 2040m and making the most of gate 1 was sent straight to the front and was never in danger thereafter in scoring a stylish win. 3 from 4 here on The Triangle, she is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DUDE (1), ISLAS JOY (9), ALE ALE KAI (8), FROST EN ICE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DUDE (1) to win

RACE NINE

FLO RYDA (2) started from the 2nd line here last starts when angled to the pegs for the short way home and was making some late metres when a close-up 3rd. He has struggled to land a marble this campaign and should appreciate drawing in tight here. This is his chance to capitalise.

CARLOS BROMAC (7) was 2nd up since arriving in Aus here last week when sent to the post as a red figure fav. It did not really work out for him in the run after being forced to restrain after trying to settle forward. 3rd over the AP 2138m when 1st up, he will be fitter and just needs luck to challenge.

SNOOP STRIDE (6) has been in super form here at the Peninsula, chalking up a hat-trick of victories here last time out. Asked to grind it out in that, he faces a tougher task here but has claims.

IMA BEACH BABE (1) was winner here 2 starts back when working to the front and holding them off to claim the prize. Buried last start from inside the 2nd line, she has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: FLO RYDA (2), CARLOS BROMAC (7), SNOOP STRIDE (6), IMA BEACH BABE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-7

RACE TEN

OUR LITTLE DIGGER (7) added another minor to his tally last start, hitting the board in 5 of his last 7. Hampered behind a tiring runner, he lost vital metres before getting going to grab the bronze when 4m from the winner. Sweating on the 1 holding the front, if he is leaders back, he looms large.

JUST JOSHIN (5) is a consistent performer and last start was beaten by gate 6 when forced to retreat early before trying to chime in. Setting the speed here 2 starts back from the ace, he was gunned down in the closing stages. The gate stings but he can make a play in the small field.

COLONEL JOY (1) started from gate 2 last time out and settled in the running line after an unsuccessful shot for the front. 5m from the winner, he has 5 placings from 8 attempts here at Redcliffe as he searches for his 1st win.

OUR UNCLE JIM (3) was a qualifying winner 5 starts back over the AP 2138m trip, but has been unable to replicate that win since, albeit meeting some strong opponents. Back to this grade he can feature.

SELECTIONS: OUR LITTLE DIGGER (7), JUST JOSHIN (5), COLONEL JOY (1), OUR UNCLE JIM (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
