RACE TWO

CHASING THE WIND (5) has gone back-to-back at his past 2 starts here with wins at the 1780m and then the 2040m last time out. Using the passing lane to score from the pocket trail 2 back, he had the closing power to arrive from deep in the pack last start and the threepeat is within reach.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (1) is still trying to find a clear passage from his latest start where he was snagged back to the pegs from gate 5 and then never saw open road, running up behind them. He lands gate 1 for the first time in 24 Qld starts which brings the options to challenge.

SWEET AS (7) eased from gate 6 last start and from well back was hitting the line in nice order to be just 3m away. A similar margin in arrears the start prior, she will get the trip to be in the mix.

WESTAR SAM (9) is only a half-neck from winning his past 3 on the bounce with a pair of wins sandwiched with a deficit of that margin when just shy of CHASING THE WIND. He is right in this.

SELECTIONS: CHASING THE WIND (5), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (1), SWEET AS (7), WESTAR SAM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-9

RACE THREE

BOLTA (1)
has been to the races on 7 occasions since arriving in Qld and never snared a marble, starting wide or off the 2nd line on each occasion. Afforded the options here, he has placed in 4 of those outings when working hard in the run on each occasion. This looks his chance to capitalise.

BLISSFULDAY (7) was runner-up last time out after taking the trail from gate 1 and then taking the closing shot when a half-neck in arrears of the winner SPORT MENTAL. Not coping when forced to graft it out the start prior, he will be coiled in the trail ready to strike here.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (5) has been hitting some good areas in recent outings, with a top-3 at his past 5 on the bounce. Too strong when working home wide off the track last start, he is in this.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (8) did not have much in his favour last start and did not have the smoothest passage home when midfield to CHANCELESS CENTURY. With eve luck he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: BOLTA (1), BLISSFULDAY (7), CHANCELESS CENTURY (5), JILLIBY JACKPOT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BOLTA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

GET READY TO ROCK (2)
pressed forward from a wide gate to assume control here last time out at the sprint trip but was grabbed in the closing strides up the passing lane by BONNIES A ROCKIN. Finding one better at her past 3 when runner-up in each, the improved gate gives her the chance.

BONNIES A ROCKIN (1) released the speed from this same gate last start over the sprint trip before making the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. The only difference here is the longer trip where she steps up for just the 3rd time in her career but gets every chance to rinse and repeat.

LIFEINHEAVEN (7) is looking for her 3rd successive win after claiming wins here at Redcliffe over the sprint and middle-distance. This race looks an ideal peg-line contest, and she can chime in.

SWEET LOMBO (4) has worked his way back into some better form and lines up here in search of a hat-trick of victories. Those wins have been when leading and he may need to tough it out here.

SELECTIONS: GET READY TO ROCK (2), BONNIES A ROCKIN (1), LIFEINHEAVEN (7), SWEET LOMBO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE FIVE

SIGNOR JUJON (1) has been mixing his runs somewhat since resuming from a break but snares an alley to take advantage of. Eased from gate 5 last start, he was trying to make a closing play when grabbing the bronze behind JILLIBY GIZMO. Gunned down here 2 starts back, he gets his chance.

ILLBEWATCHING (3) has been racing consistently and has now hit the board in 12 of his past 15 attempts, the latest when runner-up to FORTYFIVE ROCK after being restrained from a wide gate. With good early hustle when let go, he can be forward enough to throw it down here.

KATACHA MAN (5) sat rearward from a 2nd line alley last time out and was making some nice metres over the closing stages when chasing MISTY CREEK. Game when parked the start prior, he is in the mix.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (9) will take some benefit from his latest appearance when resuming from a spell with a midfield finish to the smart 2YO MISTY CREEK. With the right trail he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (1), ILLBEWATCHING (3), KATACHA MAN (5), GUY LOOKS GOOD (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SIGNOR JUJON (1) to win

RACE SIX

ABBEY DIADEMA (8)
was a winner from gate 1 here 3 starts back when securing the trail and landing the winning blow up the passing lane. Runner-up at her next attempt, it did not really go to plan last start and with the right trail in the early stages can look to finish best.

TACTFILLY MIRACLE (4) was beaten by gate 6 last start when snagging back early to find a position and then not receiving the cleanest run. Only 1.5m from the winner 2 starts back after settling in the 1x1 trail, she has early speed and can be looking to fire some early bullets to challenge.

TRACER BULLET (9) is still searching for his first Qld victory and went close here 2 starts back when grabbed in the closing stages by MONTANA EXPRESS. He is a podium hope again here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6) was a winner here 3 starts back when finishing best to take the prize. Trying to make late ground last start he has no favours again here but can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ABBEY DIADEMA (8), TACTFILLY MIRACLE (4), TRACER BULLET (9), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ABBEY DIADEMA (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

HARRY CROFT (5)
was asked to grind it out when parked here 4 starts back and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze. Threading the needle to score a smart win here 2 starts back, he was trying to get warm last time but could not quite get there. This looks within reach.

WEASEL (8) keeps on keeping on and last start was away from the inside early and trying to wind up over the closing stages. Placed his previous 2 in succession, he can follow through from this gate and if close enough look to make a challenge.

PAGEANTRY (2) was hemmed away against the poles last start and was always chasing as SHES ALL STAR took the prize. With some early options he can be thereabouts.

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (4) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried in the run and looking for a way clear. With early speed, she might just be in front here and be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: HARRY CROFT (5), WEASEL (8), PAGEANTRY (2), MIDNIGHT QUEEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HARRY CROFT (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHES ALL STAR (2)
capitalised from gate 1 here 2 starts back when taking them all the way for an easy victory. Working home wide off the track last start from a 2nd line gate, she was just a head in arrears of the winner and back to the front line can look to take her chance.

JOHNROD (8) has started to put it together landing top-2 at his past 4 on the bounce. Content to sit parked last start, he grafted out a strong win, pulling clear to post a 7m margin. Pressing through in the early stages he can throw down the challenge.

TULHURST LOVER (6) could not secure position last start and was forced to snag back after looking to get forward. Finishing over the top for a smart win, the gate makes it tricky here.

WRITE TIME (4) was searching for a hat-trick of victories last start when the gate was his undoing when buried from inside the 2nd line. He can look to atone for that here.

SELECTIONS: SHES ALL STAR (2), JOHNROD (8), TULHURST LOVER (6), WRITE TIME (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

VALKYRIE HANOVER (3)
looked to have found her moment to shine last start but the flame was extinguished when gunned down in the closing strides by MOONLITE DIVA. Placed at her past 5 in succession, she may just have found the race to breakthrough. Just maybe.

DIG DEEP (5) was doing some early work last start from the 2nd line but could not go on with it in the closing stages. Steadily improving at each outing, if he can limit the early burn he looms as a podium hope in this wide-open maiden.

LIL MISS BREEZY (7) will be needing a slice of luck to work away from the pegs at some stage. Grabbing the bronze last start from this same alley, she can be thereabouts once again.

SENORA JUJON (8) was returning from over 12 months off the scene last time out when finishing down the line behind GULMARG. Freshened, since that outing, she is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: VALKYRIE HANOVER (3), DIG DEEP (5), LIL MISS BREEZY (7), SENORA JUJON (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
