RACE TWO

ITSMEGS (4) will find this easier than her past few assignments when tackling stronger opponents. Buried in the run last start from the ace, she trailed them in 2 runs back when sent around in a mare’s qualifier. Hitting the board in both outings here at Marburg, including a win, she can strike.

DARGOS PET (3) was sent forward from gate 3 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and taking control was looking to take it all the way. Unable to finish it off, he was best of the rest when 2nd to DIGYOURHEELSIN. Only 1m away from the 2nd line last start, he can get forward to throw it down.

DUKE (1) started from gate 4 here last week when easing in the early stages to secure position before making some ground late to be just 5.5m from the winner. The gate gives him a chance to feature.

DARBY BRIGHTS (8) made some nice metres 2 starts back when 5m from the winner and at her latest start was buried in the run. With the right cart into this she can feature.

SELECTIONS: ITSMEGS (4), DARGOS PET (3), DUKE (1), DARBY BRIGHTS (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

STUDLEIGH WILL (2)
was beaten by the gate here last time out when starting from the 2nd line and never getting a crack at them. Trying to fight them off 2 starts back when setting the speed at The Triangle, he can fire the first shots here and look to hold on in the stretch.

HESLUVABLE (7) has been runner-up in 3 of his 6 starts at this track, the latest here last week when 8m from the winner FORGIVE ME. Sliding back from gate 3 at Redcliffe 2 starts back trying to find position, he can follow through in the early stages here to position for a closing challenge.

MELTON LUCKY (3) after 4 runs back from a break, he has been able to place at his past 2. Grinding it out when parked last start, he may need to do it tough again here but looks up to the task.

ROGER THAT (8) was sent forward last start and asked to work tough in the run but could not maintain it when fading in the closing stages. Limiting the burn can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (2), HESLUVABLE (7), MELTON LUCKY (3), ROGER THAT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (2) to win

RACE FOUR

An open contest here with the capacity field and big handicaps not making it any easier. ROSEHILL MAGIC (7) gave plenty of cheek in front 2 starts back when sent to the post at big odds and only wilting in the closing strides over the lone 2647m trip. Not suited when parked last start, she is worth a chance from the 30m.

ORLANDO JOLT (10) has the big 50m impost to negotiate but if he can find open track, this is well within his reach. Hitting the line with gusto 3 starts back when only 1m from the winner DOUG, he followed that when just in behind GODOFTHUNDER at his next run. Backing up from Friday, he can throw it down.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (5) was deep in the pack last start when strong to the line over the closing stages to grab the bronze. Chasing DREAMEE the start prior, she can be making a play here.

TOUCHE DE FLING (1) can be a risk but with the benefit of the front tape, might just be able to make the most of this advantage. Runner-up at his only appearance here at Marburg, he can give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: ROSEHILL MAGIC (7), ORLANDO JOLT (10), IMA CALVERT ROSE (5), TOUCHE DE FLING (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

BETTOR WATCH HIM (2) was beaten by gate 5 here last week when retreating early to find position and from back in the field could not get into the contest. Gunned down in front the start prior, his record here is smart and finding the front lands his opportunity to turn his fortunes around.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5) rolled forward from the three-hole last week and sitting parked was in for the fight when within 2m of the victory. Midfield the start prior after retreating from a wide alley, he has another wide gate to contend with here but can look to make a challenge.

PACIFIC COIN (7) was big in defeat last week after making an error when the arms folded and galloping back through the pack before making nice metres over the closing stages. He can chime in here.

ZED EXPRESS (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was hemmed away before holding on for the silver behind RISKY BUZINESS. With the benefit of the gate, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR WATCH HIM (2), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (5), PACIFIC COIN (7), ZED EXPRESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-7

RACE SIX

The third heat of the Family Challenge following last week’s 2 heats. Despite facing a sticky gate JILLIBY GIZMO (4) might just have found his opportunity to break a 12-month winless drought. Locked away last start, he was strong to the line 2 starts back at Redcliffe and can claim an open contest.

IFYOUBELIEVE (1) resumes from a spell after his last campaign lasted just one start. Opening the pipes in a recent trial, he has all the options from this alley and boasts a more than handy record at this track that shows 4 minors and 4 wins in 13 outings. From the gate he can feature fresh.

CIRCLE LINE (6) settled in the running line last start and was sound to the line when midfield. With the cosy trip in behind the speed he can be probing for openings to chime in.

AFTER DARN (8) was sent out a short price fav last time out and sent forward from gate 5 sat parked and was game in defeat when only beaten a half-head. She is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY GIZMO (4), IFYOUBELIEVE (1), CIRCLE LINE (6), AFTER DARN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (3)
looks to have found the right conditions here to overturn a winless streak that dates to March 2019. Eased from gate 7 last start over the AP mile, it was a sound effort with the race controlled from the front. Strong to the line for the silver 2 starts back, he can take this.

LA PISTOLA (2) was stuck searching for position last start when retreating to the rear and then unable to get into the contest. Making some late ground the start prior behind LETS HUSTLE, he can settle closer to the action from this gate to make a play.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) was angled to the pegs from the 2nd line last start when trying to work into it over the latter stages. He will be looking to chime in late again here.

MAN OF ACTION (1) should appreciate a return to the front line after his past 3 have been from the 2nd line. Buried in the run last start over the AP 2138m trip, he gets his chance to capitalise.

SELECTIONS: MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (3), LA PISTOLA (2), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), MAN OF ACTION (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

The fourth and final heat of the Family Challenge where the favours have fallen to JEWEL OF PEAK (1) to make full advantage of this alley. Taking control from gate 2 over the sprint trip at Redcliffe 2 starts back, she kept the power on in claiming a smart win. With the early hustle to keep them wide, she can take them all the way.

MY SECRET BEACH (6) sat in the pocket trail last time out at Redcliffe when using the passing lane to grab the silver when 2m from the winner SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE. Hitting the line in nice order here 3 starts back, he can secure the ideal trip to be probing for gaps in the stretch.

ROYAL PRINCESS (2) has hit the board in all 4 starts here at Marburg that includes a pair of wins. IN the money at her past 5 in succession, she grabbed the silver on Thursday when only beaten a neck and can feature here.

LETS ROLL THE DICE (4) steps out in Qld for the first time for Michael Tenardi and arrives with 2 career wins, one of those 2 starts back. With a smart trial in readiness, he can find the podium fresh.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (1), MY SECRET BEACH (6), ROYAL PRINCESS (2), LETS ROLL THE DICE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (1) to win
