The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival join forces with the Julia Creek Turf Club to present the Artesian Express Race Day.

It is a fantastic day of country racing for visitors to the region, who can rub shoulders with locals and visitors alike. Horses from all around the North West will be competing at one of the richest race meetings in North West Queensland.

The race day includes the exclusive Country Tastes Luncheon, Fashions on the Field, roving children's entertainment and good old fashioned novelty games entertainment for the kids and big kids alike! 

Gates open at midday and the first race is at 12:30pm.

Horses can earn a place in the Outback Racing Showcase final by securing points in heats at Julia Creek, North Gregory, Barcaldine, Gregory Downs and Mount Isa through April and May 2018. The Richmond Turf Club will host the Outback Racing Showcase final on 16th June, 2018.
