Royal on 99 Roma Cup

Racing and the Bush is a cultural tradition in Queensland, where connections between the city and the country are still very strong.

Only a half day’s drive from Brisbane or a 1 hour flight come and experience a weekend of bush hospitality and relaxed social interaction, fabulous and often weird fashion and of course, fine racing, as the prize money attracts quality thoroughbreds from around the state.

The event will run into the wee hours and after a big Friday night Calcutta in a town jumping with racegoers, even the back of a ute will look inviting by Sunday morning. You can swag it at the Park (byo blow up swimming pool) or find some air conditioning in the local accommodation. Buses will deliver you to and from town and we can guarantee the most fun over an entire weekend of racing you may ever experience.

Social commentators Ben Dobbin (Dobbo) and Betoota Advocate's complete staff of two (Clancy and Errol) will be there as well a bloke with an actual racing story Peter Moody.
