filly hung out throughout the event. He added that the adjustment to the bridle behind the gates may have contributed to the horse hanging out. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had sustained an injury to the left eye.

Triple Won  Connections advised that with blinkers on for the first time it would race in a forward position if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start after being kicked by another horse behind the barriers and was subsequently cleared to take its place in the field.

Look At Anything  Forced wider by another runner near the 1100m. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer B. Currie stated the mare did not appreciate the heavy conditions when first up at the Gold Coast on 4 April, and in his opinion was better suited in today's lesser grade of race. Onlines  At the 900m had to be checked when inconvenienced by another runner. Jockey was reprimanded for not giving sufficient room to runners on his inside approaching the 850 metre and advised to exercise more care. Jockey was also questioned regarding the reason he restrained his mount in the middle stages. Jockey stated his horse was resenting the kickback and he was trying to get his horse balanced up. Stewards believe he may have erred and advised him that he should endeavour to ride his mounts in a manner that will not leave him open to question.

Falkor  when questioned regarding tactics adopted rider A Taylor stated that after being caught wide early, the pace eased near the 1200 metre and the gelding did not settle, so she elected to ride forward and race in a position outside the leader. She added FALKOR was under pressure leaving the 500 metres and in her opinion did not run out the 1600 metres of today's event.

Harniliam  Steadied from heels leaving the 900m. Blundered at the 600m. Rider reported that the race was not run to suit in that during the middle stages the pace steadied and he was obliged to steady from heels. He indicated that the horse blundered on a number of occasions rounding the home turn and then did not respond to his riding in the home straight. Trainer indicated that in the lead up to today's event the horse had accepted for a number of venues which had been abandoned and this, in his opinion, was not a suitable lead up to today's event and may have had a bearing on the performance.   Sunshine Coast  12/04/2015

Dusty  Questioned re tactics - rider stated intention was to find cover however after beginning well the horse mustered speed quickly and found itself in the lead. As no other runner applied pressure he was content to remain in the lead. Trainer confirmed instructions and noted at last start horse at begun awkwardly from wide barrier and was forced to race at back of field, as such was not totally disappointed in that performance.
