| Beg Pardon  | When questioned in relation to riding tactics Jockey advised that after being fractious in the barriers and slowly away he allowed his mount to settle in a rearward position. He added that he travelled wide in the middle stages as he believed the inside going was inferior. He further stated he did not ride the gelding along in the downhill section of the track as he felt it would become unbalanced in the going and for this reason he allowed it to straighten and balance up before placing it under pressure and finishing strongly.
