When questioned regarding her riding from the 500m, rider reported when trailing Apple Eyes into the straight which at that stage was racing hard against the rail, she anticipated needing to shift wider to obtain clear running. When Apple Eyes subsequently shifted off the rail, a run presented to her inside, however she had already committed to come to the outside. Upon realising the inside run had developed, she attempted to shift back inwards but was unable to do so when Kilmer improved to her inside
