Lady Duporth  Jockey Brad Stewart reported that with the step up in distance his mount was unable to muster any early speed and was doing its best work over the concluding stages. Surface Tension (IRE)  Held up for clear running from near the 500m until entering the home straight. Bumped with another runner leaving the 200m.  Toowoomba  23/05/2015 
Valerie D'amour (NZ)  Inquiry re tactics adopted, in particular the pace set in the early and middle stages of the race. Rider T. Harrison indicated that she had not intended leading but when caught wide in the early stages she pressed on to the lead. She added her mount overraced in the lead and raced even more keenly when EVERYBODY HAPPY improved to her outside near the 900m. She advised connections that, in her opinion, they would be best served backing the horse up quickly as the mare raced too keenly in today's event.

Storm Fighter  A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have jarred up.  Gold Coast  8/10/2014 
Three Beers Please  D Browne indicated that his mount began awkwardly and as a result he attempted to settle the horse further back than he would have liked. He added that the horse did not travel comfortably throughout the event and was under pressure after passing the 800m and proved disappointing in its finishing effort. L Birchley could offer no explanation for today's performance.Trainer reported that blood samples taken indicated an elevated white cell count, which veterinary advise indicated would explain the performance.
