True Saga  Began very awkwardly. Overraced in the middle stages. Obliged to ease and shift in around heels to continue to improve at the entrance to the straight. Wulfies Lady  Stewards questioned apprentice M. McGillivray regarding the tactics adopted today which was to lead in the early stages when the horse has not previously led. He indicated pre-race the plan was to attempt to secure cover preferably in a midfield position, however after beginning well it became apparent he would be caught wide he then elected to ride forward to secure a position closer to the fence. He added that the horse was having its first start over 1600m and the mare raced keenly in the middle stages. Stewards accepted the explanation.  Sunshine Coast  6/12/2015

Fille Ardente  Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, trainer M. Kropp advised that the mare, which was having its first race start since September, had been working well in the lead up to today's event and he was anticipating a forward showing. He added, however, that the mare did not begin well and had to work hard in the early stages to obtain a forward position, which he felt contributed to FILLE ARDENTE not finishing off the race as strongly as anticipated.  Toowoomba  19/12/2015

Canny And the Jet  Fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly and lost ground. Jockey reported that despite efforts failed to muster speed in early stages after beginning awkwardly, however once balanced upon straightening finished the race off well. I Am Grouse  Slow to begin.  Gatton  17/12/2015 
Pirandello  Beaten by 49 lengths. Rider explained that it travelled well, however when asked for an effort, never handled the very heavy track and weakened noticeably. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Rep stated that gelding had been disappointing this campaign and consideration would be given to his immediate racing future. Rep was advised that Pirandello must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards so as to be competitive.  Warwick Farm  17/06/2015 
Special Jay  When questioned as to the performance, Jockey Matthew Palmer stated that the gelding travelled comfortably during the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure leaving the 500m failed to respond as expected and proved disappointing. Trainer later reported that gelding had undergone x-rays which revealed that it had jarred up. Advised that gelding would be treated accordingly prior to next start.   Gold Coast  19/12/2015

Audree  Jockey M. Cahill reported that the filly hung out badly from the 1000m. A post race veterinary examination revealed mildly short striding in the near foreleg. Trainer B. Baldwin was advised that a warning would be placed against the filly's racing manners. Red Hot Dazzler  Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the horse's disappointing performance, apprentice S. Fawke stated that after being slow to begin, the horse raced flat throughout and never responded to his riding at any stage and was disappointing. Trainer D. Bell stated that in his opinion the horse is looking for races over a longer distance than today's event.
