Last Typhoon  After commencing awkwardly was bumped. Near the 350m shifted in and away fron another runner and was then inclined to lay in under pressure and had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 200 metres.  Caulfield  14/05/2016 
Mackintosh (NZ)  Trainer C. Waller advised that although the gelding led at its last start, from barrier 4 today the intention is to race on the speed but to try to obtain cover. The horse was unable to obtain cover and led.  Doomben  14/05/2016

Snapper Rocks  Slow into stride. Trainer B. Guy advised that the gelding lost both front concussion plates in the early stages of the event.

Unbreakable  RE:Tactics. Rider explained he was instructed to gain a position one out one back, however, tempo continued to slow he elected to shift to a three wide position at 700 metres and was reluctant to restrain to ensure the gelding kept in a smooth rhythm. He added the reason was a combination of the slow tempo and that his mount was over racing, however, he should have endeavoured to make a greater effort to remain with cover.Rider acknowledged his error Stewards reiterated that in similar circumstances he should show more initiative than he did on this occasion.  Caulfield  14/05/2016
