Near 400m shifted out and made heavy contact with BALERION. Rider questioned re performance - explained colt inclined to lay out throughout and never travelled comfortably. Added bumped heavily with BALERION near 400m and was disappointing in its finishing effort in home straight. Trainer will monitor recovery in coming days and will make a decision with its current preparation.

It was established that after being crossed by PEKING ROAD, which was then steadied, LADY SIOUX struck the heels of LOOSE GOOSE. P. Hammersley reported that after clipping heels near the 1000m his mount was reluctant to stretch out after that incident and as a result was eased in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
