When quest re decision to shift wider round h/turn, which resulted in eventual winner obtaining a run nearer to rail, Rdr advised assessed track from earlier races ground was inferior on rail, particularly from h/turn in home straight-said mount was able to obtain forward position consistent with gelding’s most recent racing pattern-added raced loose off rail in early and middle stages & when weakening from 400m, shifted mount wider approaching h/turn to avoid heavier ground near rail. Dropped whip final strides.
