when questioned regarding the below market performance App H Phillips stated the filly never travelled in the run and failed to respond when place under pressure from leaving the 800 metres, and in her opinion was most disappointing. A post race Vet examination of WONDERFUL TESS failed to reveal any significant findings other than a slower than normal post-race recovery rate. Trainer P Sexton indicated it was now his intention to spell the filly.
