A post race veterinary exam rev the filly to be making an abnormal respiratory noise & was slow to recover. Stable rep was advised a vet clearance, including results of an endoscopic examination, would be required prior to the filly being permitted to barrier trial or race again. V/C since received.

When asked about perform, Rdr said gelding was 1st up after 4 week break & told to be midfield with cover-added reluctant to pressure horse near 1200m to take field up to leaders as was mindful of instructs & felt detrimental to finishing effort to pressure gelding at that point-further said did not expect SIR LEONIDAS, which improved to outside near 1200m, to then shift down to rail near 1000m. PRVE no abs. Lost n/fore plate.
