Tnr was at a loss to explain the poor performance, albeit noting that in his opinion the filly may not have been entirely comfortable on today's Soft 6 track conditions. Tnr subsequently reported that the filly pulled up sound and will head to the paddock for a couple of weeks before continuing on with preparation.

She added the gelding had blinkers fitted for the first time today after a lacklustre trial at Rosehill on 12/2/26 leading into the race. A post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Co-tnr subsequently advised the gelding had pulled up well and the intention now was to experiment with a tongue tie.
