Raced keenly in the lead during the early stages. When questioned regarding his riding over the concluding stages, jockey said that his mount was hampered near the 100m by another runner, which shifted in whilst improving to the outside. He said that his mount then commenced to lay out over the final 50m, before that runner again shifted inwards approaching the winning post. He said that, as a result, his mount became awkwardly placed to the inside of heels, which resulted in him desisting from riding his mount out fully over the final stride.
