Thomas the Tank  Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained leaving the 900m. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, jockey M. Powell advised that after beginning well the horse obtained its customary leading position, however he added that when pressured during the middle stages of the event by another runner, his mount commenced to overrace and, in his opinion, failed to run out a high pressure 1200 metre event tonight. Come By Often  Slow to begin. N. Evans was given the opportunity to explain the performance of the gelding. He stated that his mount overraced in the early and middle stages of the race and at a point near the 500 shifted wider on the track to improved, however the gelding was immediately under pressure and failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointed.   Gatton  3/07/2015
