Trainer J. Williams indicated it would be her intention now to remove the blinkers in an effort to assist the gelding to settle during its races, and also that she would consider a drop back in distance.

Pengelly regarding the tactics adopted as to why he remained in a 3 wide position, when It appeared he had opportunity to improve forward and take up a position closer to the fence, however he elected to restrain and remain in a 3 wide position. He explained that near the 1200m he improved outside LITTLE MISS MONACO and at this point the rider of that mare appeared to allow his mount to stride more forward.
