Van Der Sanden stated that the gelding travelled only fairly in the early stages and failed to respond when placed under pressure passing the 400m. Trainer J. Munce advised Stewards that in light of today’s performance he was of the view that the gelding doesn’t handle racing on sand surfaces and he would restrict the gelding to races on grass tracks. He also indicated that if its form doesn’t improve he would consider retiring the gelding, nevertheless Stewards advised that a warning be placed against it for poor performance.
