Go Better  Near the 500m raced ungenerously when awkwardly placed at heels. Again near the 300m restrained from heels. When questioned as to performance, Jockey stated in early stages he found a nice position, however, when PARTY TILL DAWN was restrained in front, SUPER KANGAROO which was following commenced to over-race and shifted out taking him 3 wide. He said as a result he was left in that position and then raced awkwardly at heels near the 500m and again near the 300m. Gentleman Jack  Shifted out when weakening soon after straightening. Questioned riding tactics adopted early and middle stages rider explained he was instructed to ride the gelding where it was comfortable and was advised not to overly restrain horse as it has resented this in the past. Rider added he was unable to obtain cover leaving the 1000m and soon afterward the pace steadied and GENTLEMAN JACK commenced to overrace and for this reason he allowed the horse to stride forward. Rider further added gelding was under heavy pressure approaching the home turn and weakened badly in the home straight.  Doomben  3/11/2015

Stradam  Questioned re the performance, rider stated that his mount began well and established the lead quickly, added that his mount raced keenly in the early and middle stages and was under pressure from the 700m to maintain its position, also stated his mount failed to sprint in the straight and was disappointing. Trainer reported in the days subsequent that the mare had pulled up well and that he would add a tongue tie to its gear as he suspects it may have got its tongue behind the bit during the event. A post race vet exam did not reveal any abnormality.   Murwillumbah  3/01/2016 
Umgeni  Rider questioned re riding tactics adopted in early and middle stages where the gelding led and set a fast tempo. Rider stated he rode forward from barrier and when he attempted to restrain the gelding approaching 1100m UMGENI commenced to overrace and for this reason was unable to slow the speed in middle stages.  Doomben  6/01/2016

Late Payment  Hampered when crowded at the start. Jockey J. Lloyd reported his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise and for this reason he did not persist in riding it out over the concluding stages. Trainer Mr P. Duff advised that the rider reported it may have got its tongue over the bit and that he would experiment with the addition of a tongue-tie in the horse's work before deciding to fit that gear for its next start.   Ipswich  13/01/2016
