Trainer was advised that should the filly start within 6 weeks a veterinary clearance must be provided.

When questioned as to the performance, App. J Guthmann-Chester stated that he was instructed to lead, however, after obtaining the lead rounding the first turn, the mare commenced to over-race and refused to settle despite his efforts. App. Guthmann-Chester was of the opinion that the mare’s racing manners contributed to its failure to finish off the race as expected. A post-race veterinary exam. of mare which weakened over final 400m revealed a slow post-race recovery.
