A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Guy stated the gelding first up run pleased and he was confident of its chances today. Mr Guy added the only explanation he could offer for the geldings poor performance was that it was second up after a lengthy spell. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the off fore leg. Mr Guy was advised that the gelding requires a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to its next race start.

Stewards questioned B. Panya regarding the tactics adopted and the performance of the horse. She indicated that after riding the horse forward, as is the horse’s racing pattern, she initially intended settling to the outside of DANDOG, however when her mount raced keenly she elected to allow the horse to stride passing the 1000m in an attempt to cross that horse, however DANDOG continued to hold its position to the inside, and whilst her mount did settle somewhat when approaching the 600m, the gelding was immediately under pressure passing the 400m and was disappointing in the run to the line.
